The reception area is very bland and uninviting. Our room was a twin room up the stairs (difficult with luggage). The room size was good, and there was a large fridge. However, the beds are so small both in length and width that we did not sleep very well. The breakfast is very limited, and on our last day, we had to leave early and therefore have breakfast before 8 am. That meant that we only got some bread. There might have been a bar next to it once upon a time. But now it is just an empty/abandoned place. The location is good.

This is by far the best hosteria in el Chaltén run by a lovely couple Nico and Pato and their son Nico. They take such great care of you like family. I have been coming here since 2018. I call it my home in el Chaltén. Super hosts, super place, super recommended!

The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and well fed. Would stay here again. Very safe, clean, quiet and walkable.

The most comfortable stay I've had during my entire trip through Argentina...and it was in the middle of the mountains!! Bed was very comfortable, there is a mini fridge, the reception area is nice and they let you sit there during morning/day (not at night because it's also the family restaurant). Quiet at night. If you start hiking before their provided breakfast at 8am, they will give you breakfast the night before. Location is close to the bus station and main road with lots of restaurants and a grocery store. If I come back to El Chaltén, I would absolutely stay here again!!

The hotel is a good place, very clean, nice rooms, quite central. But the best thing were the owners, super nice, always helpful and open for a chat. They cared for everything during our stay and planned our trips with us. Thanks for the nice stay!

Kau Si Aike is an ideal place to stay. It is in a beautiful location in El Chaltén, close to amazing hikes. The rooms are comfortable & clean. Good breakfast. Patricia is very helpful & friendly. I didn’t want to leave!

Muy linda y cómoda hosteria! Tiene hermosas vistas! Desayuno rico y casero, sólo agregaría algo de fruta para hacerlo más variado! Las habitaciones muy limpias y con todo lo necesario para una buena estadía. Sus dueños son muy serviciales!

Estuvimos con mi pareja 5 días en El Chalten y habernos hospedado en Kau Si Aike fue una GRAN DECISIÓN. La hostería es muy cálida, el desayuno ríquisimo y sobre todo la atención de Patricia y Nicolás, los dueños, que estñan siempre presentes para ayudarte y recomendarte lo que necesites. También cenamos en el bar Tundra RECOMENDADISIMO. Con muchas ganas de volver.

Nous tenons à remercier chaleureusement Nicolas et Patricia pour leur gentillesse, leurs bons conseils, et la tenue de leur établissement construit et aménagé simplement mais efficacement. Le Fitz Roy face à vous le matin, l'excellente literie, le petit déjeuner délicieux cuisiné par Patricia, l'atmosphère chaleureuse qui règne font que nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cet endroit Allez-y et détendez-vous! On peut payer en cash aussi.
