County Hotel

Nice place to stay, easy walking distance to helensburgh centre, rooms are very clean but a little small, perfect for an overnight stay, could do with blackout blinds in bedroom , bathroom was spotless , This is a vegetarian hotel and they dont serve any meat, thus you will not get a full breakfast here although they provide a veggy version of a full breakfast, but there are plenty of other delicious options available. will and have booked to stay again

A nice very clean hotel .good breakfast,daily cleaned,good parking.a little far to walk to the center if you are a poor walker but the bus is just outside entrance to the right.a taxi costs about £6.but it's a good location for touring.there is a store and a take away next door.

Just Wow , couldn't have had a more pleasant stay, the staff were very hard working, cleaning staff are very special people, work tirelessly to keep it absolutely spotless and it is. new style Ikea style beds, clean all new bathrooms and that new feel about the whole place, couldn't do enough for me and my business associate. Absolute Bargain too for the quality top marks to the lovely owner and always a pleasure to meet lovely people.

I recently had a 4 night stay, having been booked for working in the area. The room was very clean and plenty of towels, even though I was on my own. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was about a 20 minute walk into Helensburgh, but sometimes we need the exercise... Added bonuses was a small fridge freezer and free very quick Wi-Fi. I didn't like the TV up so high on the wall and my room had a couple of maintenance issues, which from other reviews either seem to be the same in other rooms, or just in the room I was staying in. I did point out to the owner a problem with the wardrobe, who said he would fix it, but never did.

The Room was amazing food was delicious definitely recomend the breakfast especially the pancakes the staff are so friendly would definitely recommend this place to stay ! Family run hotel great place to visit

Spend 2 nights here. The room was decent and probably had a renovation. At least that's my opinion after reading other reviews. The bed was good and comfortable, the shower was clean and modern. The main problems with this hotel are, that there is almost never somebody present at the reception and the main door is locked. You have to have a key to enter the hotel most of the time. An other problem is that there is no mention, by booking, that the included breakfast is vegetarian/vegan. This should be mentioned and there should be an option to book the room at an reduced rate without breakfast. Our breakfast experience: At arrival we were asked to fill in the selected breakfast choice, there was no other choice than vegetarian. The lady at the reception even told us that most of the guests couldn't distinguish the vegetarian cooked breakfast from a regelar cooked breakfast. Gosh, was she wrong. Those guests that could not distinguish the breakfasts probably never even had bacon or an other meat product in their lives. The meat free bacon tasted like smoked cartboard en the sausage tasted like something i will not mention here. After tasting a bit of everything on the plate, we left in search for a proper breakfast in town. We didn't bother to show up for breakfast the next day. Ps. The Cardross Inn in Cardross, a couple miles away, serves a good cooked breakfast so does the Riva in Helensburgh.

This is not an hotel, more just a B&B, I stayed in June 2023, unable to get into the hotel as front doors are locked, they provide a number to call but goes straight to voicemail and no-one returns your call, when I finally did get in, given a clean room, however the problems I encountered are, very light curtains, do not block out street lighting, light switch located behind headboard, broken radiator in bathroom leaking rust coloured liquid, very meagre vegetarian breakfast, no bar facilities, small fridge balanced on the only table in the room (Health & Safety) issue. not recommended.

Had a lovely stay here, staff were excellent, went above and beyond for our family. Our room was clean and spacious. Fabulous welcome pack and lovely, tasty vegan breakfast. we’d stay here again. Thank you.

Stayed in this hotel, check in was easy, room was lovely, nice bed and very clean, breakfast was vegan i was a bit worried but it was very nice and i would stay here again Rocky was very friendly thank you all Heather and Emilio
