This is a beautiful resort run by husband and wife. The staff are fabulous, particularly the two young women who looked after us. The owners are hands on, welcoming visitors and ensuring your stay is memorable. The pool is very private, surrounded by trees and gardens. The room was comfortable with two balconies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

This hotel was great! Very nice and friendly staff, nice and cosy hotel rooms which are cleaned and we felt great in general. Also the area is very good to make daytrips, etc. I can really recommend this hotel to all of you! :)

Lario resort is such a gem. The building is pretty new and they’re building few more rooms. The rooms are big and well decorated. The pool is huge and is perfect after a busy day visiting all around the beautiful area. The restaurant, with his typical srilankan style, is great and you can eat either local food or international food, depending on your taste. Rita, the manager, will take such a good care of you, that you will feel like at home!

This is a real gem and well worth visiting. It is convenient for local tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious and the food delicious. The hosts and staff are really friendly. We were taken for a walk through the paddy fields by the owner, which was interesting and exciting, if not a little muddy. If you visiting the area, you have to stay here, you will not be disappointed

I had the most amazing stay at Lario Resort! The owners, Roshan and Reeta, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to ensure my time in Sigiriya was unforgettable. They were incredibly hospitable, kind, and helpful. The facilities were well maintained and I really enjoyed their breakfast in the mornings. Don't hesitate to book!

The hotel is very nice and is run by a supefriendly Italian- Sri Lankan couple. So the food was very good with specific recommendations for the coffee and pasta! Mr Rishan was also very kind to take us for a nice morning stroll along the rice paddies, as the hotel is a very nature friendly environment. The kids also loved the pool.

Lovely rooms - rooms are more chalet with a restaurant and pool in the same grounds… food was a mix of western and sri lankan I think there is a tendency to try to offer western food for tourists but if you check there is definitely local food available. I have to say the pasta pomodoro was amazing as was the rice and veggie curry we had the following night. Very friendly staff and owner made us feel really welcome!

Best coffee! Quick stop off for coffee and it was the best coffee during our trip so far! Well balanced and no acidity. The setting is very nice and peaceful . They have a hotel and a swimming pool. We didnt stay there, but next tume! Apparently according to guests the restaurant is excellent too. Lovely and friendly service.

I stayed at Dario for two nights and I would highly recommend it. The property is very clean and the staff is super friendly. The owner/operator clearly cares about his guests and is fluent in English and German. The rooms are really spacious and have been decorated with a lot of care. My room had two balconies, one looking over the court yard and another looking over a green space. The bathrooms are really modern and clean. I also loved the infinity pool and heating peacocks calling out in the trees.
