Erstens ist das Hotel alt. Der Check-in-Vorgang dauerte lange. Ich hatte eine Vorliebe für All-Inclusive-Hotels, aber da die Hotelpreise hoch waren, wollten wir es ausprobieren. Aber es hat uns überhaupt nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war wirklich geschmacklos. Für große Familien mit Kindern kann es eine erschwingliche Option sein. Mein einziger positiver Kommentar gilt der Tauchbasis. Es war eine wirklich schöne Erfahrung

Ich liebe Grün und Natur und mein Mann liebt den Strand. Dieses Resort bietet die perfekte Balance, sodass wir beide haben konnten, was wir wollten. Die Wege vom Zimmer zum Strand waren wunderschön und überall grün. Der Strand selbst war unglaublich. Das Essen am Buffet war in Ordnung und als wir die reservierten Abendessen in den Restaurants einnahmen, war das Essen fantastisch. Als wir ins Fischrestaurant gingen, bereitete der Koch das Gericht „Four Fish“ zu und es war das beste Mahi Mahi, das ich je gegessen habe. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Resort zurückkehren.

While the ambiance of the property and the staff are very nice, the drinks are heavily watered down, the food is mediocre at best and usually comes out cold from the kitchen, u less your at the buffet. I had 3 meals at the various restaurants and I didn’t eat any of them due to the temperature of the food and off taste of the beef.
Cozumel is beautiful and we’d likely visit again, but likely will not stay at the occidental without some major improvements

We really enjoyed our vacation. The resort is very clean, we were impressed with the restaurants and meals. The beach is smaller but very nice and clean. We enjoyed walking the shore and the resort has a neat juggle vibe. The entertainment was good, and it's a quiet resort. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Staff was top notch. We'll come back

We went with friends, and wish we would have stayed elsewhere. Buffet food tiring after 1 day, the ability to get in to the resorts "finer dining" very limited. Drinks are watered down(I didn't think that was really a thing). $40 cab ride anytime you want to go in to town(each way). No Bueno.

The Dinner buffet was the only thing we really did not like, and I wish the pizza option opened earlier that 9:30 PM. The property is nice and spread out, the beach is nice and easy to swim in. Roger at the main pool is fantastic he will do what he needs to make your trip comfortable. Make your restaurant reservations early. we decided late to rent a car and they went out of their way to make it happen although the on site car rental had no cars.

Beautiful resort very friendly staff relaxing a**osphere
Only down side was the buffet food was very land and few options. The royal gave a wonderful option for a private restaurant in which we enjoyed,
The beach is also being washed away but it is a good swimming area, The nightly entertainment was not worth staying up but the grounds are so peaceful you can always find a nice spot to enjoy a beverage
