Stayed at this small intimate hotel during a workshop in the area,, 5 pleasant nights. Alfred , the owner, is present at the hotel, cares for his guests, the place is very clean , comfortable. Breakfast served in the lovely garden , jazz music is playng all day long. Thank you alfred

A unique hotel in a building that is over 800 years old with the best view of the city and fields from the veranda and from the garden of the restaurant. New renovation, restored furniture and other furnishings. The warm welcome, cordiality and friendliness of the owner cannot leave you indifferent. it is very convenient that the hotel has a wonderful restaurant, and a taude and a jazz bar, where great music always plays and excellent cocktails are served. We will definitely come here with the family again!

Un hotel bellissimo, in una struttura ristrutturata e bien piazzata nel cuore di Certaldo. Camere pulite, splendida terrazza per la colazione con prodotti freschi e di buona qualità. La struttura lascia a desiderare sulla praticità: un bagno di marmo pericolosissimo.. Uscire dalla doccia era sempre a rischio-caduta, senza bidet (cosa anomala in Italia) e senza punti di appoggio. Bello, ma assolutamente poco pratico. Altro neo: un frigo bar vuoto e non funzionante. Mancava qualunque tipo di accessorio, che unito al fatto che la struttura non è dotata di ascensore, la bloccano a 3 stelle. Altro punto poco fsvorevole: In una cittadina dove tutti erano gentili e cordiali, ho trovato il personale gentile ma molto freddo e distaccato. Giudizio complessivo: una bellissima struttura a buon prezzo, dotata dei servizi essenziali. Consiglio di lavorare sull'apertura verso il cliente e la praticità delle camere.

We had to change locations in Certaldo and luckily this one had some last-minute openings! The greatest choice we ever made. The air conditioning was good, the breakfast was amazing (included) the restaurant was superb (extra but worth the price which was very reasonable) and the entire layout was gorgeous. Just as you would wish to see in the Tuscany area. Just like a travel book of beauty, the outside seating was marvelous and picturesque. You go by train into town and then walk about 5-10 min (depending on speed) up the main street to the funicular which comes every 10-15 minutes and ride it up to town,it is the first main hotel on your right. 1 min walk! The main host spoke excellent English and the entire premises were pristine! Most people don't think of Certaldo as a destination, but we chose it because it wasn't in Florence, but close enough by train. Also, we had a Vespa tour of Tuscany planned and an excellent Cooking class here (within 4 4-minute walk of the hotel) with Cusina Giuseppe. So all in all, the best location for the entire "old town" with castle-like walls to go to all the restaurants.
