This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.

Große Stadtblick. Zimmergröße ist über dem Durchschnitt bedeuten größere als andere Deluxe Seda Zimmer, die wir haben. Mixed resto ist mit einem großen Blick, aber es kann leicht zu voll und füllen dauert Zeit, insbesondere die Bacon. Es gibt direkten Zugang zum Mall, das ist eine gute Sache, aber es gibt noch nicht viel im Central Block Mall, aber die Grundstücke sind da. Es könnte 5 Sterne gewesen sein, wenn nicht für das Front Desk, das in der Mitte der Nacht 10:30 Uhr angerufen. Sie unterbrachen unser Schlaf wegen eines Fehlers. Wir schliefen, als sie gerufen hatten, zu fragen, ob wir mit dem Eisen und dem Brett getan sind, was wir vorher gefragt haben, aber abgelehnt, weil es nicht verfügbar war. Andererseits war es ein toller 2N/3D. Wir kommen zurück, wenn in der Stadt.

I had a wonderful Christmas Hotel 2022 Staycation experience courtesy of the Main Hotel and Suites located in Barangay Banilad in the City of Cebu. This is my 21st Hotel-Resort-Farm-Campground Staycation in total here in Cebu since Christmas 2020. I instantly noticed most of their guests are foreign tourists. I easily feel the warmth the moment they welcomed me and I could feel at home away from home with their kind and accommodating staff like the  Housekeeping personnel, Irene Tolentino who carry my traveling bag to my standard queen room while having my vlogging, and Stanlee Montecalvo for the maintenance for something that needs to be fixed with Security Guard Jonathan Mendoza who act as my cameraman and delivered all my needs in the room. All these things are made possible by Front Office Associate Joyce Villanueva from the booking reservations up until our constant communication as she instantly answered all my queries and requests weeks before my stay. I got the biggest surprise when I was given that amazing Christmas gift hotel room upgrade on that Christmas morning when Front Office Associate Sheila Matuguina handed me the key for the Main Suite Room with a king-size bed, a sofa, a spacious shower & toilet, a personal refrigerator, a kettle, safety deposit box and has a small balcony overlooking the city view. I could still remember this beautiful serene Christmas night when I powered off all the lights while I was seating on top of my big king-size mattress with large soft pillows at my back and on my head while leaning on the wall. I was deeply mesmerized by the beauty of the city by night from the main suite room window. I couldn't imagine that I can have this kind of wonderful celebration on Christmas night blessed with good weather and a good climate. Two years ago, we were in quarantine and social distancing with strict protocol to follow brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a year ago, we are to deal with the devastating aftermath of super typhoon Odette without power, no water supply, limited supply of food, most houses were destroyed and several families were homeless. No wonder they have been awarded Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Award winning for consecutive years for the kind of service they have given me. With this track record, now I know the reason why travelers both local and foreign nationals choose to stay here because I, myself personally experience it.

Hotel ist nicht für die (sehr problematische) Arbeit der BoQ verantwortlich (es dauerte 59-60 Stunden, um das Ergebnis des zweiten Tests nach 7 Tagen zu senden; das Ergebnis des Tupfertests am Flughafen wurde mir komplett verborgen, super seltsam) ; in Deutschland am Flughafen bekam ich es nach 4-5 Stunden, PCR-Test). Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber, groß genug, nur das Bad ist etwas klein und dürftig. Der Fernseher funktionierte sehr gut (viele Kanäle), das WLAN hat zu schwache Digital-/Kapazität (nur in der Lobby funktioniert es gut, stark genug zum Herunterladen eines Buches oder einer Zeitung. Das Personal ist freundlich. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut? & viel, also 2 Mahlzeiten am Tag waren genug für mich. Die Wache ist freundlich und arbeitet als kleiner Helfer für die Bedürfnisse von 7eleven. Alles in allem ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut, im Vergleich zu den Hotelpreisen in MNL ist es phantastisch. Das einzige Problem ist das schwache WLAN-Signal (auf den Zimmern). Der Q-Status und das geschlossene Restaurant bedeuten, dass viel Essen verschwendet wird. Die Ratten sind glücklich. Sie haben Katzen, aber sie haben sich mit ihnen verabredet, anstatt sie zu jagen - faul. Die Lage des Hotels? ist zentral; wenn du frei bist, viele Restaurants vorhanden. Ich überlebte mit zusätzlicher Hilfe von Essenslieferungen wie Chowking; erschwinglich; Preise für Getränke und Essen im Hotel sind fair. Die Qualifikation mit 2 !/2 Stern ist angemessen.

Volltreffer das Hotel erfüllte in jeder Hinsicht wieder alle Ansprüche. Sehr sauberes Hotel mit schönen Zimmern, Frühstück sehr gut. Swimmingpool mit Bar auf der Dachterrasse ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen

This hotel has a great potential become a hidden gem in the heart of the Cebu city. It desperately needs a renovation and total clean up. It has a garden what might be found only in the city outside hotel's. It has a old little hotel charm what should be valued. Breakfast was simple but tasty, restaurant was not open in the evening time. Very weird episode happened once in the morning. I was swimming and my partner in the room. I left door unlocked and someone tried to come inside very quietly opening the door. When noticed someone is still in the room fastly closing the door and running away. I reported this to front desk and after half an hour reception told us it was just a mistake by a House keeping. After ten minutes all our valuables were inside the safe. Hotel explanation sounds very weird. Someone reported our room was full of valuables.

Ich habe von einem Doppelzimmer in ein Doppelzimmer umgewandelt und dachte, die Einstellung des Zimmers für beide Zimmer basieren auf der Einstellung des Doppelzimmers. . . der Kopf des Doppelzimmers ist auf beiden Seiten des Bettes, nicht oberhalb. Darüber hinaus wird der einzige Ausgang im Zimmer zu Fuß über dem Bett gefunden. Warmwasser würde bedeuten, dass der Schlauch im Bett. Warm und kalt Dusche im Badezimmer, Sanitärvas hat Bidet (Ich weiß, dass das ein wenig wichtig für die lokalen Gäste) Das Team ist aufmerksam, von der Wache zum Büro-Team für die Reinigung. Das Frühstück ist angemessen und serviert in einem Raum, der dringend akustische Paneele benötigt. Die Waschmaschine vor dem Hotel wird von einer wunderbaren Dame verwaltet.

We had a very rough time checking out. First and foremost they don't have any coordination especially the front desk people. We paid an initial deposit of 3k which the lady who received us that day only inoutted 2,400 in their system and she did not gave us any receipts. We didn't even bother to asked it since we thought we could trust her. But guess what, during check out she denied that she received the 3k cash. If I did not cross check the receipt they would've charged us more. We are a bit disappointed on how they handle the situation and this kind of issue not being professional enough. Especially this lady Elen/Elaine in the front desk. She is giving us this attitude which is a big no no for me. This is not how you treat customers especially you are in a hospitality industry. Anyways, The room is clean but alittle bit small. Internet connection is poor and I can hear noise outside and other guests walking in the corridor. The good thing I like about this hotel is their bed, shower and breakfast . Thats all!

Die Entfernung vom Flughafen mit dem Auto zum Hotel beträgt ca. 13 km und vom South Bus Terminal sind es 15 Minuten. Es gibt einen Supermarkt und Restaurants in 10 Minuten. Der Hotel-Check-in erforderte eine Anzahlung von 1000 piso, und die beiden Hotels, die ich danach wechselte, erforderten keine Anzahlung. Das Hotel ordnet hohe Stockwerke nach Bedarf an, aber die Schalldämmung ist nicht ideal. Ich kann es akzeptieren, weil das Fenster zur Straße zeigt. Die Grundausstattung des Zimmers ist einfach, aber sehr sauber und der Raum ist groß genug, und das geschwungene Design der Fenster ist das erste Mal, dass ich sie gesehen habe. Insgesamt ist zufriedenstellend.

Verbringt meine erforderliche Quarantäne hier für internationale Ankunft. Sie sind eines der zugelassenen Quarantänehotels. Und als ich nach Quarantänehotel suchte, bevor ich ging, waren sie die responsivsten und flexiblesten, da Reisecovid-Protokolle ständig geändert wurden; machte meine Reservierung per E-Mail. Ich habe für das Paket, das Mahlzeiten und Flughafentransport umfasste gewählt. Alles funktionierte ohne Schaum -- vom Flughafen-Pick-up bis zum Check-out. Das Hotelpersonal war hilfreich und mit unseren besonderen Anfragen ausgestattet, das Zimmer war grundlegend, aber sauber und alles war in Ordnung, die Betten waren komfortabel, AC-Lärm akzeptabel, sauberes Badezimmer mit guter Wasserdruck und heißes Wasser, und wirklich tolles WiFi, das ein Leben rettete während der Quarantäne.
