Good Hotel with very friendly and welcoming Staff. They offered us a free room upgrade to a suite that it was much appreciated. The suite was super spacious, with 2 separate bedrooms and 2x balconies with amazing sea views. We highly recommend booking a suite type of room (main building). The food is good and varied. However, some of the food was not identified especially at the Dunas Restaurant so it was difficult to understand what was it and contained (might be a problem for people with allergies/intolerances). Note: Majority of the food is bland and it will be required salt to be added separately if you like flavoured food. The drinks were okay, not much selection of cocktails unless if you go AI Plus. However, I would suggest to be served in reusable plastic cups like other Hotels instead of paper cups that stay all “mushy” after a while (still helps the planet considering it’s reusable). The Hotel has direct access to the beach (which is beautiful!) and has a beach bar (but not included for AI customers, only AI Plus). Also has sun lounges and parasols but needs to be paid extra. The Hotel has plenty of activities during the day & nice shows at night. The Animation Team is amazing and we had always a good time with them! Without the Animation Team the Hotel would be just average. They are really the light of this Hotel! We would just kindly suggest that during the activities they ensure that there is always someone that speaks portuguese (a few times it was only spoken italian - nothing against the language, it is a beautiful language, but sometimes was hard to understand everything and follow the instructions, thus fully enjoy the activities). Apart of portuguese, I would also suggest to be spoken english considering it is the universal language and more people would understand and engage in the activities. Apart of that we highly praise the animation team and their activities throughout the day & night. The Spa was good however they only give 45min slots which was not sufficient to try everything at the water circuit (we suggest the time to be increased to 1h and/or reduce the number of people per slot). Note: You will need a swim cap, otherwise you will pay 4 euros for one. The Hotel surroundings are beautiful with well kept gardens. Overall: Nice Hotel that wins for its beachfront location, Staff and Animation Team!

Few minutes from airport in Vila Baleira. Clean city hotel, simple decor rooms, small pool, and good breakfast included. Hotel has no lift, so if you dont like stairs, ask for a ground floor room Bar Colombo by the pool serves drinks, icecream and light meals. Wifi worked perfect in and out of my room. Would have liked an english newschannel on the tv. All staff friendly and hospittable. For a city stay in Vila Baleira and for the reasonable price payed, I would stay again

Rustikales Hotel mit entsprechender Einrichtung, in unserem Zimmer 115 alles vorhanden und benutzbar. Sauber, wenn man nicht penibel ist. Helles Bad ohne Steckdose, Badewanne mit Duschvorhang, Balkon mit 2 Stühlen ok. Fernseher nicht benutzt. Wifi ok. Sauberlinge sind jeden Tag im Zimmer, prima. Handtücherwechsel ok. Die Anlieferungen von Mensch und Material fanden auf Höhe unseres Zimmers statt, doch nicht störend. Es muß ja sein, wo denn sonst am Hotel? Lediglich die Anlieferer sollten die Motoren abstellen, das ist eine Manie der Fahrer, leider auch die der Busfahrer zum Teil. Der Rasenmäher einmal die Woche ist auch tolerierbar, eine schöne Anlage in meinem Sichtfeld sollte auch gepflegt werden, oder? Frühstücksbuffet vielfältig, doch kaum Abwechslung. Wir kamen hervorragend zurecht, müssen ja nicht jeden Morgen ALLES essen. Für 8 Tage war UNSERE Abwechslung geschaffen: Wurstsorten, Käsesorten, diverse Eier, britisches Frühstück, süsse Stücke, Obst, Säfte, Milchprodukte, Cerealien.....alles vorhanden. Kaffee, Tee, Milch, Wasser. Wie zuhause?! Geschmack und Qualität gut. Servicekräfte aufmerksam. Sonderwünsche werden erfüllt. Andere Mahlzeiten haben wir nicht gebucht und auch nicht separat genutzt. Den Spa-Bereich haben wir nicht benutzt. Der Swimmingpool ist vorhanden, leicht angegraut wohl, aber zum Sonnen und Schwimmen in Ordnung. 2 Badetücher, Liegen und Schirme kostenfrei nutzbar. Nun zum Strand: So ein herrlicher und feiner Sandstrand, auch ohne Steine im Wasser, keine Quallen und vor allem KEINERLEI Unrat, Kotreste und Anderes! Vor allem OHNE Musikbeschallung, OHNE Strandverkäufer, Masseusen und andere ”Dienstleister”. Keinerlei Ununterbrochenschreihälse über 5 Liegen hinweg, NICHTS, NICHTS. Das ist Meeresrauschen und ca. 3 x am Tag ein relativ leiser Airbus in Aktion. Keinerlei Jetski, Motorboote, BoomBoom BassBoxen der Besucher, UNGLAUBLICH, aber WAHR! Einziges Negativum: 2 Liegen und Sonnenschirm 12,50 €/Tag. Inclusive zweier Aufsichtspersonen. Die Atlantik-Strandbar haben wir preiswert ab und an genutzt. Für Kinder und Jugendliche ist nichts los im Hotel und am Strand, für alle anderen Menschen ist die Ruhe wohl genug, um sich richtig wohlzufühlen. Die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Personals kann ich als natürlich beurteilen, nicht gespielt. Gäste sind zum grössten Teil Portugiesen, dann unsere lieben Deutschen. Andere habe ich nicht gehört. Die üblichen deutschen BlaBla-Kritiker habe ich nicht kennengelernt- vielleicht ist der deutsche Mensch auf Porto Santo einfach gechillter.......
