Casa Legado

We stayed at Casa Legado for two nights in December and had a lovely experience. The neighborhood is very cute and the hotel is tucked away from the busier streets. The rooms and common areas are luxurious. Breakfast and all day access to teas, drinks and snacks, all ingredients are very high quality and fresh. The hotel is amply staffed and every one of the staff members seems invested in making your experience wonderful. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, and will stay here next time we visit Bogota.

Casa Legado provided an unforgettable experience from the moment I began my inquiry about staying there a month prior to my departure. The exceptional service I received made me feel truly special throughout my entire stay. Natalia, who assisted me in selecting the perfect room for a special occasion, took the time to meticulously explain every detail and ultimately helped me find the ideal accommodation, which I absolutely adored. The moment I crossed the threshold into the hotel, I immediately felt a sense of belonging and comfort. My room was stunning and incredibly comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly each night, filled with countless dreams—a luxury I rarely experience even in the comfort of my own home. The customer service at Casa Legado was unparalleled, and I eagerly anticipate booking another trip there during my next visit to Bogota. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire outstanding team at the hotel, including Ana, both Natalias and every single individual who contributed to making my stay truly exceptional. From the delightful coffee to the fresh fruit and delicious breakfast, the entire ambiance of Casa Legado was simply splendid. Once again, thank you!

Casa Legado felt like a vacation home with a great team making food, drinks, securing transfers, tours, etc. The host was very responsive and could be reached very easily. The facilities were well maintained, very comfy bed, nice balcony, and luxurious bathroom. It was very quiet. Felt like we were the only ones there. Although we felt the area was very safe to walk around, the security at Casa Legado was also working 24/7. Can't wait to come back one day. Ana and her team were very accommodating. This was a tremendously thoughtful and intentional stay - the property is a beautifully restored family home very close to great shopping and restaurants in the Chapinero, and the staff and hosts were wonderfully attentive—the best communication for any international stay we’ve had, ever. We just stayed one night on our way out of the country but felt very at home and plan to return. The experience was full of small touches like turndown service (my wife in particular loved the hot water bottles placed under the covers - not needed (the room was warm) but made it extra cozy. They also had a cocktail hour featuring aguacaliente, rooms with unique touches (ours was named after a baker and included tea and cookies). Also for international guests we had Spanish and English speakers in our party and staff accommodated the English speaker entirely. And they had on site security there to let us in and out which made the whole thing feel even more secure.

Casa Legado is so pretty and welcoming that I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Bogotá. A former private home, its public areas are chic and comfortable, its rooms lovely, the landscaping gorgeous, and everything is maintained in pristine condition. I was given the room that once belonged to the son of the house, Alejandro, a horseman who had represented Colombia in the 1996 Olympics. Beautifully (& amusingly) decorated with horse paraphernalia, the room seemed to be outfitted just for me. I was in heaven, sleeping below two red & white Olympic poles, and awakening to the songs of birds in the morning. The staff is attentive and efficient, always ready to help and intent on making sure their guests have a superb stay.

I’ve been traveling for over 20 years, stayed in the best hotels, and have never written a review…until now. Casa Legado is a special place. The staff are extremely attentive and go to extraordinary lengths to meet your every need. It felt like visiting family. The kitchen and pantry are well-stocked with snacks, fruits, drinks of all variety, accessible 24/7. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I also ended each night with an incredible massage, which was the perfect prequel to sleep. This was a unique experience because in other stays, you are limited to ‘spa hours’, typically ending around 6/7 pm. At Casa Legado, they were able to accommodate a post-dinner massage. The downside is that I am now spoiled for life. Will definitely return.

I thought I had ‘discovered’ Casa Legado (CL) through the advice of a Bogotá insider. Little did I know that many of my friends who knew Bogotá were all ‘inside’. For good reasons. CL is intimate and friendly. It is not really a hotel- it is a home. The owner - Helen- and her beautiful dog will wander over and say hello and make sure all is in order. CL is spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed and personal. A great place to decompress. CL is located in an elegant residential neighbourhood about 20-30 minutes from the centre of town and the museums.

Casa Legado was great- it was very cute, there was a kitchen that you could access for free snacks so it felt like home. Everyone that worked there was great - Camilla helped me out w so many things including restaurant reservations and excursions. At the hotel itself Sebastian was a delight and made each day happy. This was by far one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The place is truly beautiful. Very comfortable room with a comfortable bed and very cool design. The courtyards are so beautiful - filled with tropical foliage. The staff was really out of this world, no joke. They were all very kind and friendly and seemed to really enjoy being helpful, all the way to the security guards. We loved the neighborhood too. Lots of excellent restaurants and cafes, nice and kind of funky but not like an overly fancy neighborhood. Camila helped us out with reservations which was very helpful.
