Die Hotellobby ist ebenfalls klein, und die Lobby mehrerer Hotels in Neuseeland ist klein. Das ganze Hotel ist vom Aussehen bis zum Zimmer sehr interessant. Das Restaurant ist besonders schön. Es gibt nicht viele Speisen zur Auswahl und der Geschmack ist in Ordnung. Das vom Hotel gelieferte Frühstück ist das einfachste kontinentale Frühstück. Es kann überdimensioniert sein, lecker, wer es nicht mag, kann wählen Bezahltes Frühstück, es ist lebenswert.

I loved my upgraded room on the ninth flor and just found the Hotel overall to be an oasis of luxury. This was my first time at this property, and I was really well-treated. I was recognised as a Platinum Member and basically, thoroughly spoiled. I had a very restful night's sleep. The bedding was incredibly soft with crisp, fresh linen galore! Like Macarthur, I shall return!

Rein hygienisch, die Einrichtungen sind komplett, der Service ist auch sehr gut, der Verkehr ist bequem, der Ausflugpreis in der Nähe ist nicht teuer, das Frühstück ist gut, es ist noch reichhaltig. Eine tolle Erfahrung. Das Zimmer ist sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber wahr. Das Mittagessen hat ein Paket, obwohl es kleiner ist, aber es gibt Vor-, Haupt- und Köstlichkeiten. Das Hotel-Abteilungsgepäck ist sehr aktiv und bequem zu nehmen. Das einzige schlechte ist, dass das Bett in Doppelbettzimmer zu klein ist, geschätzt wird, dass es nur 90CM breit ist.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was perfectly allocated for our needs on this visit. With all the construction going on around the hotel, we were a bit overwhelmed but the hotel staff directed us perfectly to the security parking as well as to our destination the next morning. Breakfast was very good and the staff was once again very friendly and helpful.

Wenn einer von uns ausging, mussten sie den Schlüssel verlassen, dann rufen Sie an, wenn sie zurückgekommen sind, weil sie einen Schlüssel brauchen, um den Aufzug zu fahren. Wenn wir länger bleiben, hätten wir einen zweiten Schlüssel gefragt. Es gibt einen Komfortladen über die Straße und viele Restaurants innerhalb eines oder zwei Blocks.

Insgesamt war das Zimmer in Ordnung. Es war wie von anderen Reisenden beschrieben bis 3 Uhr morgens extrem laut, da sich direkt neben dem Hotel eine Kneipe mit Open-Air-Balkon befindet. Ich hatte in den 3 Nächten, in denen ich blieb, Probleme beim Schlafen und wachte jede Nacht auf. Es gab auch einen schrecklichen Geruch, der beim Betreten des Zimmers nie wegging. Ich hatte das große Glück, einen Balkon zu haben, der das Lüften des Zimmers ermöglichte. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Ein guter Zwischenstopp in Auckland, wenn es um das Budget geht.

The main advantage is the location, just off the main shopping area of Queen Street, less than 10 minutes walk to the Viaduct and Britomart areas. Supermarkets less than five minutes walk, SkyCity just up the road, etc. The building itself is nothing flash with a small reception area and two small lifts. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the 7th floor and the apartment was quite comfortable and had plenty of space to relax. The WiFi worked well. The small kitchen had the basics we needed to have breakfast and prepare a light meal and snacks. One bathroom was an en suite off the main bedroom whilst the other bathroom was larger and contained the washing machine and dryer. Unfortunately we suffered from the construction noise in the street outside which of course is nothing to do with the hotel, but meant we had to sleep with the air conditioning on rather than have a window or sliding door open. There was less noise on the weekend but there was still some construction taking place.

Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotels during my 2-week stay in New Zealand. It is located in the heart of Auckland’s cbd area and close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, harbor). It is a 6-minute walk to the Sky Tower where you can pick up the Airport Express bus for $17 nzd. The hotel entrance is on a significant incline. The reception is on the 2nd floor which you can take either an elevator or escalator up. The cafeteria and small lounge are to the right of the reception desk. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruits, muffins, and other pastries. Due to the high volume of clients the 2 coffee machines were usually low on milk to make certain coffee drinks. I love the room set up. The closet is across of the bathroom and had plenty of room for your luggage. The shower is enclosed in a glass cube with wave designs. A nightlight in the bathroom saved on electricity if you need a little light to move around the room. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked. The reception staff was kind to let me stay an extra hour past the check-out time for the room that I had with my tour. The room that I booked after the tour was ready early and I got to settle in at 11 am before my afternoon tour. Construction is happening around the hotel with the streets being torn up and a new building under construction next to the hotel. The hotel is well insulated that I couldn’t hear any of the construction.

A centrally located hotel within walking distance of the harbour and other attractions. Stayed here for two nights to recover from a long flight before setting off on our New Zealand odyssey. Check in is efficient and our room was on the 23rd floor which afforded views across the city. The room was spacious and clean and the king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with good quality accessories and the shower was powerful and hot. Ideal. However, we were close to lift and the whooshing noise when it was in use would annoy some. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The buffet is expensive for what’s on offer and the quality of the food we found average at best. At the time we stayed there was major construction work in progress outside the hotel although we were out during the day so it didn’t bother us.

I will try to be as constructive as possible with my review, but before all that, I will say this was probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed in! If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have stayed in many hostels around the world, and I understand that not all hostels are perfect. You get what you pay for with hostels. But I've never stayed in a hostel so bad that I checked out 2 days early! The roof of the rooms was absolutely disgusting to look at. The ensuite bathroom was filthy as well. I arrived late in the evening on my 1st night, and there wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom! I had 2 horrible nights of sleep on a horrible mattress, a wafer thin pillow, and a blanket that you wouldn't throw over the back of a couch! On my last night, I actually had to wear a hoodie to keep warm! And when you climbed into the top bunk, if there wasn't somebody lying in the bottom bunk, the bunk beds nearly leaned over! Not exactly safe! You couldn't relax on the bed either it was so uncomfortable! There is no breakfast provided! At the very least, the most basic of hostels will provide cereal and toast! Not here, unfortunately. There are only plugs on the bottom half of the rooms as well, which means you have to plug your devices into a plug on the floor in the middle of the room! In a room full of strangers! And while there are lockers available, they're light, so if someone wanted to pick it up and steal it, they could. A few tips for this hostel: 1: Comfortable mattresses, proper sheets and duvets, and proper pillows. 2: Deep clean the rooms every so often. 3: Charging points that are easily accessible to people on top and bottom bunks. 4: No lights out at 10 pm! While this didn't affect me as I stayed away from the hostel as long as possible until I wanted to go to bed, lights out at 10pm is a load of b******s! Remember, it's a room full of adults. 5: Clean the communal bathrooms and showers! They weren't exactly the cleanest places in the world. Do a deep clean on them every so often. And fix some of the doors on the communal toilets because some of them don't lock. 0/10 guys, unfortunately. This place really needs to get its act together.
