Family of 4, 2 Adults & 2 Children, arrived late on a Wednesday evening to only one person on reception, she was an older lady and very rude (I let it slip as she was on her own and there was a lot of people checking in) but no, she was as miserable and rude throughout the rest of the week. The other lady and gentleman were a lot more pleasant. check in took forever, when we finally got to the front of the queue she just passed us the keys, gave us a map and another piece of paper with AI times and shooed us off. I had to ask where we were to go and she said out there turn left, that was that, if you have ever been you will know how lost you get trying to find your room for the first few days. The hotel grounds are very dark and not much lighting. Our beds were made about 5 times through the week but probably cleaned twice throughout our stay. No clean bedding was put on and our bins weren’t emptied much. My son was sick on the 2nd night there, I cleaned it up and tied the bag and stripped the duvets off both beds and one pillow case as a little had got on each. They were never replaced, when we arrived back later that day, the bed had been made but no covers replaced or a pillowcase even left! I had to ask 3 times over 3 days! And twice was told there was a problem with the laundry and they had no replacements !! The smell of sewerage from the bathroom was something I absolutely could not stomach! And it seemed worse 1st thing on a morning, the stench would wake me up and that was with the door closed and the toilet lid closed 😳. If you did not get up and put towels on sunbeds by 7am each morning you had no chance of getting by the pool the whole day! Sorry but I don’t go on holiday to have to wake up for 6.30am so I can lie by the pool 😳. The pools were freezing cold, one pool was meant to be heated but wasn’t. The jacuzzi was absolutely filthy with stuff floating all over it the first 2 days but this was cleaned while we were there and was much better, the other jacuzzi was closed the whole time we were there. I have never known a hotel to have such a bad monitoring of sunbeds. The restaurant was absolute carnage, sometimes you couldn’t get seated! I don’t think I’ve ever been to an AI that you just wander in without having to give your room number. You had to go early or it was scraps! the food was never hot even if you were first in. Morning pastries were mini and only one tray of croissants were put out once gone they were not replaced. Absolutely no monitoring system in place so just walk in and help yourself! There was SC eating in the restaurant most nights as there was just no one monitoring anything. 2 people sitting on tables for 4 or 6 as no where else to sit resulting in people not being able to be seated. I asked for some Nutella one morning as it wasn’t yet out and was screamed at by one of the staff, she stormed off and someone else brought the bowl full out about 30 minutes later. We have been coming to this hotel for 18 years and have visited over 20 times last time in June of this year and have always left a positive review and have Never left a bad one but not this time. I am not sure if it has changed hands since June but has gone down hill massively. We always request a room along the road which there are about 20 + but was put in a room facing the total oppisite direction and away from the road which they said is because the rooms were full which if fine but then we see 3 other couples that day get one of the many rooms on the road which we had asked for and when we got speaking to them they had not requested any room. We also was told we could not check in until 3 pm when we arrived at 11 am but then see others check in from 11.30 for the rest of the week, so was lied too and requests are not looked at or they do the opposite to what you have requested. Anyway our aircon leaked and had to put towels down on bedroom floor, freezer door had been broken off inside fridge so couldn't use, had a army of ants crawling along kitchen worktop from the moment we got in room, every night when we got in we would have 10- 15 cockroaches in kitchen area and would run back under fridge when lights went on, even see 3 in the fridge, our beds were not changed the whole week and 5 nights in asked if they could be changed at reception but 1 bed sheet was left on the sofa the next day folded nicely with a cockroache bedding down on it so never got changed and ended up washing bedding myself in kitchen sink.People obviously smoke in the rooms as the fabric sofa stunk of smoke so we used blankets in wardrobe to put on sofa so we could sit on it and not smell like a ashtray but they also smelt and had what looked like half a dinner stuck and dried onto it so they are not cleaned either,. Sitting in the room this morning at 5.55 am with door open and a boy of around 18 years old walked in, don't think he see me sitting in corner and when I said to him what are you doing he kept putting his had to his mouth like a smoking action so think he panicked and made out he wanted a cigarette as he did not speak English or Spanish, i don't smoke so told him no. People were out waiting for sunbeds at 8. 50 am and beds are not unchained until 10 am with only a handful of umbrellas so if you stood a chance of getting a sunlounger you were waiting for a good hour before the padlocks were unlocked!!! Caleta itself now feels very unsafe and was approached many times for money, cigarettes and if I wanted to buy ***** which has never happened before, we are only in our 40's so would feel very intimidated if i was older. Definitely will not return as gone down hill so much especially the hotel, shame. Going home today luckily and never felt like that before in 18 years.

Das Hotel an sich ist sehr schön und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das beste war der Spa-Bereich. Schöne Atmosphere, gutes Angebot und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, nettes Personal. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, hätte aber im Badbereich besser geputzt werden können. Wir hatten 'all inclusive' gebucht, jedoch war nicht alles inklusive bzw man hatte nur eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken die es ohne Aufpreis gab. Man darf dann gerne das 'all inclusive Plus' extra buchen, dass steht aber auch nur im Zimmerschlüsselkärtchen drin. Die inclusiven Getränke sind sehr einfach und zB der Gin & Tonic war ungeniessbar, Wir haben oft den Aufpreis gezahlt um bessere Qualität bei den Getränken zu erhalten. Das Enttäuschendste war jedoch das Essen. Obwohl es natürlich jeden Tag etwas anderes auf dem Büffet gab, hatte man nach ein paar Tagen das Gefühl man isst immer das Gleiche, da sich das Angebot einfach sehr ähnelte. Das Essen war wenig gewürzt und somit fad und langweilig. Oft waren die Speisen auch nur lauwarm oder manchmal sogar kalt. Am letzten Abend sind wir dann sogar ausserhalb Essen gegangen.

Es ist sehr sauber, das Personal sind freundlich und glücklich zu helfen. wo wir Kühlschrank und Kettle brauchen doppelte Plug, sie waren schnell und gab mir eine Erweiterung führt zu verwenden beide zusammen. es eine schamige Bar inne nicht geöffnet, wie wir Windige Nächte hatten und wir saßen Pool Bar mit Patio-Wärmegeräten, auf denen ich nichts getan habe. Schön, dass Sie in Ihrer Unterkunft über die Handtücher runter dem Pool setzen, dass sie entfernt werden, wenn sie nicht verwendet werden, so keine Sonnenbäder blockieren. kann mit einigen Papierarbeiten, um Sie auf Ihrem Besuch zu halten, wann Sie für Mahlzeiten wählen und auch wann Snacks auf dem All inclusive verfügbar. Es ist ein schöner Touch, dass Sie ein Handtuch für Sie zu benutzen im Pool ich nicht im Hotel war, das Ihnen sie gibt.. Das Essen ist gut für eine 3Sterne nur etwas wäre ein Problem in der höheren Saison ist nur 1 Toaster im Essensraum. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt hier voll genossen. Ich würde hier nochmal bleiben.. Du solltest für deine eigenen Interessen arbeiten. Ich weiß, dass die Leute die Straße draußen gelegt haben, aber das Hotel kann nicht verantwortlich für das, weil es nach dem Rat..

I arrived at Castillo in the early evening of October 2nd 2023 as a solo traveller. Having left home some 8 hours previously, I felt tired , hungry , and thirsty and was therefore looking forward to being welcomed to my apartment quickly and efficiently as a holidaymaker. Instead I found myself face to face with a surly and charmless young man who ran through the check in procedure in a bored and disinterested fashion before thrusting a grainy and badly photocopied map into my hand in order to find my apartment myself amongst hundreds of similar white bungalows in the complex At this point I might add I’m the only traveller checking in at that point. Some 45 minutes later I find my apartment after walking round the complex umpteen times , if the check in guy had removed himself from behind the desk and simply pointed to a gate 50 yards up the road all this could have been avoided. The apartment was tired looking , sagging curtains , broken sofa bed , the main beds were uncomfortable metal frame affairs with a mismatched wooden headboard jammed up between them and the walls No air con , simply antiquated ceiling fans/lights which were hard to figure out to keep running without the lights on. Kitchenette appallingly equipped . Something scuttles when I open a cupboard Blocked drains emitting foul odours in the bathroom The roads around the complex are shocking , featuring broken manhole covers , broken electrical boxes , discarded rubbish lying around , and oh watch out for cars randomly crossing your path without warning from the strange little mini roundabouts which allow cars to zoom in front of people in a pedestrian zone. Also beware the electric scooters hacking around everywhere I think I had 3 room service visits in a fortnight , and despite paying for late checkout on my last day I then had a cleaner wondering why I was still there at 12 , I had to google the words paid late check out to get rid of her , obviously someone hadn’t done their job! Finally if you come here and are not particularly fit , it’s approximately 1 1/4 miles to the nearest beach , despite saying beach resort and a steep uphill climb on the return I’m sure Castillo will give the standard reply to this review , but you need to revamp your rooms , employ staff that are good with people , repair your roads , look after your grounds properly , including using the irrigation system in order to avoid the eyesore of dead plants everywhere, last but not least some general information given to guests and proper signage around the place would greatly help!

Excellent Service , however be aware that i purchased through trip.com the hotel did try to charge me an extra £100 euros , because the deal i paid for wasn’t the price set by the hotel, however after the Receptionist spoke to the manager , they honoured the price i paid , all in all from start to finish took about 20 mins , the Room with a sea view was absolutely stunning, i thought the room had no electric , however a quick pop to the desk explained that the key card you use to get into the room goes into a slot in the entrance way to turn it on , ( quick suggestion to the hotel maybe explain this when you give out the room cards ) Having stayed in a different hotel previously i didn’t know what to expect , i’m happy to say i will be back , its at least 2/3 minutes walk to the beach , has disabled access which is great , lifts are in the lobby to allow higher floors, they have a chill out zone thats open from 9am which has rooftop jacuzzi’s ,sauna and stunning views over the sea , it also has two pools one inside the complex and another outside, The breakfast while inconvenient at times having to go downstairs to eat, ( they do have room service however at €10 was not something i wanted to pay personally it was a nice touch though ) was plentiful to say the least they had a large variety to cater to everyone . The receptionist were brilliant even with a slight language barrier , some are multilingual in any event , my advice learn some words in Spanish helps a lot ! The Room itself was absolutely spotlessly cleaned , fresh towels and bedding changed daily by the cleaners , with little heart chocolate’s was a nice surprise one slight issue for me unless you want to be woke up at 8/9am with the drinks bar i would fully use the do not disturb sign , The hotel has a massage and therapy i used the 2 hour service and both the husband and wife are an excellent edition to the hotel , they cater to a range of injuries , we even joked that my back was as hard as wood , they worked in tandem and gave one of the best massages i have ever had and i’ve had quite a few over the years. There are quite a few places to eat , however the restaurant which is about 1 minute walk from the hotel has the most amazing staff and the food is great, the prices are reasonable to. Now i know this is an adult only hotel so i was expecting the hotel to be loud in the evenings until the early hours , and while this was at the end of June 2024 i heard little in the way of noise passed 1am. Being the night owl having the sea view and listening to the sound of the waves at 1/2/3 am in the morning is the most peaceful i have felt , thank-you Ezra Mar for the Wonderful Memories. All in all it was an Excellent stay , I Will be back thats for sure , Thanks to all the cleaners and staff at the hotel , what a pleasurable experience.

We have been coming to this hotel for 18 years and have visited over 20 times last time in June of this year and have always left a positive review and have Never left a bad one but not this time. I am not sure if it has changed hands since June but has gone down hill massively. We always request a room along the road which there are about 20 + but was put in a room facing the total oppisite direction and away from the road which they said is because the rooms were full which if fine but then we see 3 other couples that day get one of the many rooms on the road which we had asked for and when we got speaking to them they had not requested any room. We also was told we could not check in until 3 pm when we arrived at 11 am but then see others check in from 11.30 for the rest of the week, so was lied too and requests are not looked at or they do the opposite to what you have requested. Anyway our aircon leaked and had to put towels down on bedroom floor, freezer door had been broken off inside fridge so couldn't use, had a army of ants crawling along kitchen worktop from the moment we got in room, every night when we got in we would have 10- 15 cockroaches in kitchen area and would run back under fridge when lights went on, even see 3 in the fridge, our beds were not changed the whole week and 5 nights in asked if they could be changed at reception but 1 bed sheet was left on the sofa the next day folded nicely with a cockroache bedding down on it so never got changed and ended up washing bedding myself in kitchen sink.People obviously smoke in the rooms as the fabric sofa stunk of smoke so we used blankets in wardrobe to put on sofa so we could sit on it and not smell like a ashtray but they also smelt and had what looked like half a dinner stuck and dried onto it so they are not cleaned either,. Sitting in the room this morning at 5.55 am with door open and a boy of around 18 years old walked in, don't think he see me sitting in corner and when I said to him what are you doing he kept putting his had to his mouth like a smoking action so think he panicked and made out he wanted a cigarette as he did not speak English or Spanish, i don't smoke so told him no. People were out waiting for sunbeds at 8. 50 am and beds are not unchained until 10 am with only a handful of umbrellas so if you stood a chance of getting a sunlounger you were waiting for a good hour before the padlocks were unlocked!!! Caleta itself now feels very unsafe and was approached many times for money, cigarettes and if I wanted to buy ***** which has never happened before, we are only in our 40's so would feel very intimidated if i was older. Definitely will not return as gone down hill so much especially the hotel, shame. Going home today luckily and never felt like that before in 18 years.

Family of 4, 2 Adults & 2 Children, arrived late on a Wednesday evening to only one person on reception, she was an older lady and very rude (I let it slip as she was on her own and there was a lot of people checking in) but no, she was as miserable and rude throughout the rest of the week. The other lady and gentleman were a lot more pleasant. check in took forever, when we finally got to the front of the queue she just passed us the keys, gave us a map and another piece of paper with AI times and shooed us off. I had to ask where we were to go and she said out there turn left, that was that, if you have ever been you will know how lost you get trying to find your room for the first few days. The hotel grounds are very dark and not much lighting. Our beds were made about 5 times through the week but probably cleaned twice throughout our stay. No clean bedding was put on and our bins weren’t emptied much. My son was sick on the 2nd night there, I cleaned it up and tied the bag and stripped the duvets off both beds and one pillow case as a little had got on each. They were never replaced, when we arrived back later that day, the bed had been made but no covers replaced or a pillowcase even left! I had to ask 3 times over 3 days! And twice was told there was a problem with the laundry and they had no replacements !! The smell of sewerage from the bathroom was something I absolutely could not stomach! And it seemed worse 1st thing on a morning, the stench would wake me up and that was with the door closed and the toilet lid closed 😳. If you did not get up and put towels on sunbeds by 7am each morning you had no chance of getting by the pool the whole day! Sorry but I don’t go on holiday to have to wake up for 6.30am so I can lie by the pool 😳. The pools were freezing cold, one pool was meant to be heated but wasn’t. The jacuzzi was absolutely filthy with stuff floating all over it the first 2 days but this was cleaned while we were there and was much better, the other jacuzzi was closed the whole time we were there. I have never known a hotel to have such a bad monitoring of sunbeds. The restaurant was absolute carnage, sometimes you couldn’t get seated! I don’t think I’ve ever been to an AI that you just wander in without having to give your room number. You had to go early or it was scraps! the food was never hot even if you were first in. Morning pastries were mini and only one tray of croissants were put out once gone they were not replaced. Absolutely no monitoring system in place so just walk in and help yourself! There was SC eating in the restaurant most nights as there was just no one monitoring anything. 2 people sitting on tables for 4 or 6 as no where else to sit resulting in people not being able to be seated. I asked for some Nutella one morning as it wasn’t yet out and was screamed at by one of the staff, she stormed off and someone else brought the bowl full out about 30 minutes later. Das Hotel an sich ist sehr schön und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das beste war der Spa-Bereich. Schöne Atmosphere, gutes Angebot und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, nettes Personal. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, hätte aber im Badbereich besser geputzt werden können. Wir hatten 'all inclusive' gebucht, jedoch war nicht alles inklusive bzw man hatte nur eine kleine Auswahl an Getränken die es ohne Aufpreis gab. Man darf dann gerne das 'all inclusive Plus' extra buchen, dass steht aber auch nur im Zimmerschlüsselkärtchen drin. Die inclusiven Getränke sind sehr einfach und zB der Gin & Tonic war ungeniessbar, Wir haben oft den Aufpreis gezahlt um bessere Qualität bei den Getränken zu erhalten. Das Enttäuschendste war jedoch das Essen. Obwohl es natürlich jeden Tag etwas anderes auf dem Büffet gab, hatte man nach ein paar Tagen das Gefühl man isst immer das Gleiche, da sich das Angebot einfach sehr ähnelte. Das Essen war wenig gewürzt und somit fad und langweilig. Oft waren die Speisen auch nur lauwarm oder manchmal sogar kalt. Am letzten Abend sind wir dann sogar ausserhalb Essen gegangen.

Es ist ein etwas abgelegeneres Hotel. Nichts desto do trotz ein schönes Hotel.Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt,das Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich. Man muss keinen Hunger schieben. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und ständig darauf bedacht es den Gästen Recht zu machen und immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Die Anlage selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und eine Klimaanlage wäre auch nicht schlecht, aber alles in allem können wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbringen. Die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sowie Einkaufsmärkte sind breit gefächert, gut zu erreichen und zu empfehlen. Über die Matratzen können wir auch nicht klagen, wir können sehr gut schlafen. Hätte so manch ein Gast ein Maß an Anstand würde die gesamte Anlage vor Sauberkeit glänzen,denn das Personal ist den ganzen Tag über beschäftigt mit sauber machen. Es wird täglich den Gästen im Hotel einiges geboten so das auch da keine lange Weile aufkommen kann. Für uns ein unvergesslicher Urlaub und vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Touristisches Hotel etwas abseits gelegen. Während meiner Anwesenheit waren fast ausschließlich britische Touristen im Hotel. Check in erfolgte rasch und reibungslos, ich wurde in deutscher Sprache begrüßt. Die Zimmer im Poolbereich sind etwas kleiner als die Appartements hinter den Tennisplätzen. Eine kleine Küche steht im Appartement zur Verfügung. Das Hotel liegt in Flugplatznähe und ist etwas hellhörig. An den Appartements läuft eine Strasse entlang die übliche Geräusche verursacht. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Bett sehr bequem und nicht hart. WiFi steht zur Verfügung und das TV - Angebot entspricht dem, was man von Hotels her kennt. 80 Kanäle, bunt international zusammen gewürfelt und die paar (4-6) deutschen Sender muss man suchen und sich merken. Das Essen vom Buffet ist vielfältig aber sehr einfach und günstig gemacht. Das Buffet am Abend bestand hauptsächlich aus Fingerfoot und Salate sowie etwas Fleisch und eine Schale mit Fischgericht. Es herrscht etwas Gedränge. Alternative Restaurants sind mit dem Taxi für weniger als 10 Euro zu erreichen, zu Fuß mehr als 30 Minuten. Der Poolbereich ist sauber, etwas eng und wird beschallt. Das Wasser ist sehr gut und sauber. Sehr gut sind auch die Sportmöglichkeiten für Tennis oder Badminton. Es gibt frei zugängliche Plätze die gut genutzt werden und in einem guten zustand gehalten werden. Es wird den ganzen viel Tennis gespielt. Entsprechende Geräusche im Zimmer deutlich wahr zu nehmen. Das Baden im Meer ist vom Hotel aus nicht möglich und auch nur mit einem Fahrdienst zu erreichen. (Taxi, Fahhrad, Bus etc..) Vorm Hotel gibt es ein Fahrradparkplatz. Zur Nutzung ist die entsprechende App zu laden. Die Appartements hinter den Tennisplätzen verfügen nicht über Klimamanlagen. Insgesamt ein Hotel das meinen Anforderungen genügt und auch gerne wieder genutzt wird.

Castillo Beach Es hat nunmal 2 Sterne. Freundliches Personal. Das erste Appartement war feucht, starker Schimmelgeruch, Viele schwarze Schimmelflecke an der Badezimmerdecke. Wir bekamen auf Verlangen sofort ein neues Appartement. Hier reichte gutes Lüften nach längerer Abwesenheit. Mängel, wie defekter Wasserkocher, keine Kaffeemaschine, fehlende Küchenausstattung, Handtücher, Decken wurde umgehend behoben. Selbst ausfegen war mit vorhandenem Besen möglich. Das Sofa war durchgelegen. Das Bett OK. Das Appartement sonst OK. Mikrowelle, Backofen, zwei Herdplatten. Heißes Wasser durch außen angebrachten Boiler. Das Appartement ist sehr hellhörig. Bei lauten Nachbarn und neben der Straße liegend an Oropax denken.i Frühstück für 6€ und Abendbüffet für 11€ pro Person nachbuchbar. Das Frühstücksangebot ist überschaubar und gleichbleibend. Weißmehlbrötchen, Toastbrot, Cerealien, Pancakes, Bohnen, Spiegelei, Pilze, gekochtes Ei, Speck,also englisches Frühstück. Kaffee- und Safttautomat. Mikrowelle vorhanden. Das Abendessen nahmen wir nur einmal ein. (Die Getränkeautomaten waren wie beim Frühstück in Betrieb.) 1mal Fisch, 1mal Hühnchen, weicher Rosenkohl, 2 Kartoffenvariationen, Nudeln, Gemüsereis, panierte Scheibe aus Käse und Wurst (für mich nicht genießbar), Zum Dessert Dosengemüse, Apfelsine, Banane. Salat, pp. Für 11 € satt geworden. Der nahe gelegene Hyper Dino Supermarkt ist recht teuer. Der große Sparmarkt in Caletta bzw der Mercadona Rtg Flughafen bieten bessere Preise, und viel mehr Auswahl. Den Weg zum Busbahnhof kann man abkürzen, indem links auf der Straße vor den Häusern über die freie Fläche der Bahnhof bergab von der Rückseite betreten wird. Rechts ist der Zaun durchlässig. Über die Rezeption buchten wir einen Leihwagen, Fiat 500 für 54€ den Tag. (Panda für 48 € war ausgebucht.) Das Fahrzeug wurde zum Hotel gebracht. Den Schlüssel gab ich an der Rezeption abends ab. Vom Flughagen fährt die Linie 3 für 1,45€ incl Gepäck zum Busbahnhof in Caletta d F. Zum Hotel ist der Weg mit Rollenkoffer machbar. Eine Alternative zum gebuchten Transfer, vor allem wenn man, wie wir, 90 min auf die Abfahrt warten müssen.

Ein sehr schönes, zentrales Hotel. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber. Reception, , lifeguard und Hausmeister sind freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Wir hatten nach einem Stromausfall in der ganzen Stadt den Warmwasserboiler defekt. Der Schaden wurde innerhalb von nichtmal einer halben Stunde repariert. Am Pool ist den kompletten Tag immer ein Lifeguard anwesend, der aufpasst… egal wie wenig los ist. Die Anlage und die Appartments sind definitv nicht die neusten und müssten bald mal renoviert werden. Aber alles funktioniert einwandfrei und ist sauber. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.
