Das Hotel ist sehr komfortabel, modern, chic und sauber Das Personal ist super freundlich und untergebracht. Sie erlaubten uns, etwas früher zu prüfen, da unser Zimmer bereit war und wir hatten eine frühe Ankunft in Merida im Maya-Züg von Cancún (auch sehr empfohlene Erfahrung!). Wir wurden mit einem Glas Eiskühlwasser begrüßt, das perfekt war, da das Wetter viel heißer war als in Merida erwartet. Der Pool war super erfrischend, die Toiletten und Bettwäsche schön und der ganze Ort ist eine Oase in der Mitte einer sehr zentralen Straße, nahe allem noch ruhig und ruhig. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Not sure why this hotel is so highly rated. Nothing about it is terrible, but the devil is in the details. The Good: - Staff is super friendly, incl. the valet - Rooftop pool and bar are really nice and a great feature - Overall layout of the hotel is charming - Great water pressure and genourous rooms The not so good: - Upon check-in, they tried charging us a 240/day ”resort fee”. After further questioning they said it was optional and would pay for the WiFi and the gym. Not a great business practice, espcially for a 5* hotel - Overall the hotel looks a bit dated and would benefit from some more maintenance - We booked a double room but were given a king room - when they showed us to a double room it was quite dirty - dirt on the linens, bathroom counter wasn't wiped down - so we just made do with the king instead - Beds weren't terrible, but I've slept better Location is a bit off the beaten path. Not bad but is was about a 20-30 walk to the city centre and the nicer restaurants.

Wir waren bereits in den 90er-Jahren im Gran Hotel und haben es auch jetzt wieder als Unterkunft gewählt, weil wir den Charme dieses Hotels schätzen. V.a. der Innenhof mit den grosszügigen Veranden ist sensationell. Die Einrichtung ist alt, aber es ist alles sehr sauber. Dass es im Hotel Rattenfallen hat, ist in dieser Gegend nicht aussergewöhnlich: In vielen - auch gehobenen! - Hotels und Restaurants auf Yucatan haben wir solche Fallen gesehen. Das Personal war freundlich - insbesondere die Damen, welche jeweils das Zimmer gereinigt haben. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer ist nicht ideal, wenn man z.B. noch altherkömmlich lesen möchte. Dass es im Hotel laut ist, ist weiter nicht überraschend, da es eben im Zentrum liegt. Schade finden wir, dass vieles vom sehr schönen Mobiliar, das wir in den 90er-Jahren noch angetroffen hatten, offenbar verkauft wurde bzw. weiter verkauft wird und durch Möbel ersetzt wurde, die vom Stil her nicht mehr so gut passen. Dennoch finden wir es toll, dass das Hotel noch seinen eigenen Stil hat und sich von vielen 'fancy' Hotels unterscheidet, welche fast überall in der Welt stehen könnten.

Großer Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Personal ist sehr freundlich und Lebensmittel im Restaurant ist guter Qualität. Wir haben zum ersten Mal 2 Nächte geblieben, reiste um den Yucatán, dann kamen wir zurück zu diesem Hotel wegen seiner Komfort zum Flughafen.

Desk manager Veronica was stunningly helpful and kind. Everybody on staff were friendly and made my stay comfortable and easy. The Hotel is quiet at night, often has a breeze in the broad open areas, and it is very clean. The decor of the lobby and other open spaces is beautiful and calming. You are only two blocks from a great little square, a little corner store to buy refreshments and snacks, several good restaurants very close, and you're only about five blocks to the Plaza Principal. They will also help you set up a tour that will pick you up at the door. [Thanks to ”Sammie” and ”Mario” for the great trip to the Mayapan ruins and especially the three great cenote swimming visits and surprisingly the best lunch during the trip!]

We used HIT Merida as headquarter point while visiting Mayan ruins. Small but very clean. Free coffee in lobby. Walking distance several blocks to main square but otherwise the aesthetics of area leave a lot to be desired. Very nice restaurant for lunch or dinner directly across street—hidden gem. Bathroom super small. Hotel not generous with towels. We were 3 and only received two bath towels, one hand and zero washcloths. We did receive another bath towel when we requested. First night was street side room and so noisy we had trouble sleeping. Therefore, check your room location prior to unpacking. Requested change and were accommodated with much quieter room. Bed comfort was average. No hot water in shower or sink. Sink very slow draining in both rooms. Staff was great and hotel parking was a plus since we had a vehicle. The hotel is ok if you don’t plan to stay in the room long so for us it serves the purpose. Very inexpensive.

Dieses Hotel war sehr komfortabel. Wir genossen wirklich unseren Aufenthalt hier. Ich empfehle es jedem. Es ist sehr nah an der Busbahnhof Progreso.

Cute, safe, and comfortable little hotel in the middle of the Centro. Staff were super helpful & friendly, able to answer our questions. The inner courtyard that all rooms face is sooo pretty. Our room was comfortable, cool, & quiet. The pool is the perfect temperature after long hot sweaty days! I was able to store my luggage there for our return. And it's a perfect location! Easily walkable & accessible to everything in the Centro. We loved it here & would return if we find ourselves in this super cool city again!

Ich war sehr beeindruckt von meinem jüngsten Aufenthalt im Hilton Garden Inn in Merida. Neuer designierter Generalmanager Gerardo Moreno ist das Epitom eines Teamleiters. Seine Gästefreundliche Initiativen wurden während meines Aufenthalts umgesetzt und ich muss bleiben, er ist einer der besten Hotelleiter, mit denen ich jemals mit dem Vergnügen interagiert hatte. Er kümmert sich wirklich um seine Gäste. Eduardo war auch sehr unterstützend während meines Aufenthalts, der mich bei vielen Gelegenheiten unterstützte. Er war schnell und unterstützend, wenn Hilfe benötigt wurde.Die Assoziierte des Front-Desk Daniela war auch mit ihrer Hilfe eine echte Profi und ihr Verhalten war überaus beeindruckend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr vielfältig mit vielen interessanten Optionen, darunter lecker gemacht, um Omelette zu bestellen. Das Restaurantpersonal war während meines Aufenthalts sehr aufmerksam, immer bereit, zu helfen. Ramiro hat eine gute Arbeit mit Raumwartung geleistet, wie ein anderer Associate, der in Sicherheit/allgemeine Hilfe arbeitete. Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Merida, nur eine kurze Uberfahrt von allen Attraktionen, die Merida anbieten muss. Eine Reihe von Restaurants und Malls ist nur eine fünf bis zehn Minuten Uberfahrt entfernt. Ich freue mich auf einen weiteren Aufenthalt in diesem gut geleiteten Hotel unter der Führung von Gerardo.

Charming hotel in a great location in Barrio Santiago. Wonderful and helpful staff. They had no issues storing my insulin and retrieving as needed. I would much prefer the room (Jr Ste with plunge pool) had it's own mini-fridge. Keeping drinks cold is essential in the hot weather, and for those with meds to be stored, it would be awesome to have the option to have in-room. Staff was helpful at all times, very sweet and friendly! Even helping me book a MUCH needed massage on my last day there, with sore muscles and swelling from heat. Best massage in years! Breakfast was continental, but great fresh fruit, juice, coffee, toast, yoghurt. The place is affordable, clean, great service and charming decor all around. Small and boutique style, just my preference. A little bit of noise with barking dogs (but not severe), and the bathroom shower comes out with a LOT of pressure, and faucets were 'reversed' - you can adjust water amount but it still spills over into the bathroom, so the shower rug/towel would get soaked and then some. Maybe a little ledge would help prevent it. The bathroom door is best kept closed, as it has a window (screened) opened for ventilation, but you would lose all your AC in room. No big deal though. Couldn't figure out the safe. A little small, but enough storage room with desk, dresser, etc. Would definitely return! Highly recommended. It made my stay very special, gracias Art 57!!
