During my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers. First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture. The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems. My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff. While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats. One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired. In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. While the absence of certain amenities was a minor drawback, it did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would recommend the Anglo American Hotel to travelers seeking a centrally located, well-appointed hotel with a charming ambiance in Florence.

I was there with my wife for 7 days-6 nights. The location is great, we used it as a base for our daily trips by car. The Apartment was ok, the water in the bathroom sink couldnt go throught fast, which was not that nice. The reception in the night shaft was very kind and friendly. The reception in the day shaft was very uncomfortable, he discussed every single word you said and never try to solve your problems in an easy way. As we checked in, the night shaft told us after we have asked that we could get 1 time free cleaning cause we are staying for 7 days. I told the day reception one day before, and the day after we called and asked when they are comming? The answers were like you are asking a politician why he lost in his elections. Welllll we dont knoww, maybe 10, maybe 3pm, we said sir we want to go out, we dont want to do that before we close our door and be sure that no body is comming. Again he started to philosophize every single explanation. Alot of other examples. In general, the employee can be a problem solver, or making it more complicated. Te kind thing was that i asked him to print me two papers, he did (after telling me to go to the website and search for their email during he has a business card in his hands). The breakfast for extra 12 euro per person was not good, unhealthy, and very very simple and cheap. Not even a fresh juice (juice machine full with sugar instead). First day not any kind of egg, we asked why, they said it is sunday we didnt get egg! Only mini croissants, mini butter, jam, toast, bread, little of salad leaves, if you dont catch the first dish of fresh tomato, you will not see it again. I would not pay more than 5 euro for this breakfast. The place itself was very calm, green, big, and beautiful. It is on the top of the mountain, you have a wonderful restaurant nearby, nice area to walk throught. Good connected to the highway (8-10 minutes to the highway). The gym was very old and neglected. The pool was closed as we we were there.

Ho soggiornato all’Hotel Continental per una notte il 16 agosto e ho trovato la mia esperienza mista. Sebbene sia un hotel a 4 stelle, ho notato alcune aree che potrebbero beneficiare di una ristrutturazione. Posizione e servizi: La posizione dell'hotel è sicuramente un punto a favore, essendo direttamente sul mare e dotato di una grande piscina. Tuttavia, ho riscontrato un inconveniente riguardo al servizio in spiaggia. Non mi era stato comunicato che era disponibile solo fino alle 12:00 del giorno seguente. Questo dettaglio è stato svelato dalla bagnina, che mi ha informato che avrei dovuto pagare per una mezza giornata se avessi voluto rimanere in spiaggia fino alle 16:00, quando ho dovuto lasciare la struttura. Camera e pulizia: La camera era piuttosto piccola e ho notato che i vetri delle finestre erano sporchi, il che non ha contribuito a una buona impressione al mio arrivo. Colazione: La colazione era nella media e, sebbene non avessi molte alternative disponibili, l'ho trovata abbastanza buona per iniziare la giornata. Prezzo: Infine, il prezzo che ho pagato per una sola notte mi è sembrato piuttosto elevato rispetto ai servizi offerti, soprattutto considerando che stavo cercando un soggiorno più accessibile. In conclusione, l’Hotel Continental ha un buon potenziale grazie alla sua posizione, ma ci sono aspetti che necessitano di miglioramenti significativi per giustificare il prezzo e le aspettative di un hotel a 4 stelle. Spero che la gestione prenda in considerazione questi suggerimenti per offrire un'esperienza migliore in futuro.

Ich habe kürzlich in diesem Hotel übernachtet und fand es eine gute Wahl für preisbewusste Reisende. Der Preis war sehr angemessen und bot ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Zimmer war geräumig, modern und makellos sauber, was angesichts des günstigen Preises eine angenehme Überraschung war. Es wirkte frisch und gepflegt, was meinen Aufenthalt angenehm machte. Das Frühstück ist im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen, was eine nette Geste ist, aber die Auswahl war enttäuschend. Dem Essen mangelte es an Vielfalt und Qualität, mit begrenzten Optionen, die nicht für jeden Geschmack etwas boten. Es war ausreichend, um in den Tag zu starten, aber erwarten Sie kein herausragendes kulinarisches Erlebnis. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool, was eine tolle Annehmlichkeit ist, aber er ist recht klein und kann überfüllt wirken, wenn mehrere Gäste ihn nutzen. Er ist okay für ein kurzes Bad, aber nicht ideal zum Schwimmen oder Entspannen. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, was für manche Reisende unangenehm sein könnte. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, insbesondere Busse, sind abends eingeschränkt. Planen Sie daher entsprechend, wenn Sie die Stadt spät erkunden möchten. Für abendliche Ausflüge kann ein Taxi oder eine Mitfahrgelegenheit erforderlich sein. WLAN ist im gesamten Gebäude verfügbar, die Verbindung ist jedoch manchmal langsam und unzuverlässig, was frustrierend sein kann, wenn Sie arbeiten oder Inhalte streamen müssen. Für gelegentliches Surfen ist es zu verkraften, aber erwarten Sie keine Hochgeschwindigkeit. Der Service war zufriedenstellend – die Mitarbeiter waren höflich und entgegenkommend, wenn auch nicht übermäßig herzlich oder proaktiv. Check-in und Check-out verliefen reibungslos, und einfache Anfragen wurden effizient bearbeitet. Insgesamt ist dieses Hotel eine gute Wahl für alle, die Wert auf ein erschwingliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und saubere, geräumige Zimmer legen. Wenn Sie jedoch Wert auf Stadtnähe, stabiles WLAN oder ein hervorragendes Frühstück legen, sollten Sie andere Optionen in Betracht ziehen.

Great Hotel. Excellent location and accessible to most attractions. Pleasant check-in and can state that all staff were extremely nice and helpful. Amazing room provided (complementary upgrade). Kitchenette with sitting area, large bedroom with comfortable bed and pillows. Large bathroom with a massive spa bath. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near the central station. But the street is too narrow and noisy when there were traffic. The staff are not friendly nor helpful. The only time you feel you are welcome was you booked tours through them. The breakfast room is small and in the basement. There is no view throughout the whole hotel.

Die Lage ist günstig, nur 5 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt, und angenehm ruhig. Mein Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich als neu eröffnetes Hotel der IHG-Gruppe sehr enttäuscht war. Zuerst fand ich einen gebrauchten Verband an meinem angeblich sauberen Handtuch, und das Badezimmer war schlecht gestaltet. Durch die halbhohe Duschwand spritzte beim Duschen garantiert das Wasser überall hin, egal wie vorsichtig man war. Das Hotel und das Zimmer sind zwar stilvoll, aber für ein erst zwei Jahre altes Hotel (laut Internet wurde es 2023 eröffnet) ist das Badezimmer schlecht instand gehalten: ein kaputter, provisorisch reparierter Wasserhahn, Rost und Flecken überall. Ich vermute, das liegt an der minderwertigen Materialauswahl bei der Gestaltung. Dadurch wirkt das Hotel wie 20 Jahre alt. Am ersten Morgen frühstückte ich sehr früh. Es war angenehm ruhig, und das Angebot war gut, sowohl geschmacklich als auch qualitativ. Am zweiten Morgen, als ich gegen 9 Uhr dort war, waren die Tische nicht abgeräumt und die Rösti steinhart. Wir sahen auch andere Gäste, die Speisen aßen, die nicht im Buffet waren. Deshalb fragte ich das Personal nach Alternativen. Erst dann erfuhren wir, dass jeder Gast kostenlos ein Gericht à la carte bestellen kann. Wir waren darüber nicht informiert worden, und ich finde, Gäste sollten wissen, dass sie Wahlmöglichkeiten haben. Ich vermute, so werden Touristen behandelt … oder eben Asiaten. Wenn Sie also hier übernachten, fragen Sie unbedingt nach der Speisekarte, falls Sie Alternativen zum Frühstück wünschen.

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich

Das Zimmer war fantastisch – wirklich wunderschön und sehr luxuriös. Die beiden Gastgeber, mit denen wir gesprochen haben, gehörten zu den nettesten Menschen, die wir bisher in Italien kennengelernt haben! Die Lage ist ideal: ca. 20–25 Gehminuten von den Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zentrum entfernt, und ein Bahnhof ist in der Nähe. Es war wunderschön, und ich würde jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.
