Excellent services although felt that some mosquitoes were there. Otherwise it was a good stay. Breakfast was awesome and staff is super friendly and helpful. All together highly recommended to stay.

*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience. In conclusion, Kenilworth Hotel offers a reliable and comfortable stay with the added benefit of a good location and useful amenities like the gym. However, the lackluster food options—especially in the set dinner menu—stand out as an area that needs improvement. With a little more attention to dining and guest preferences, the hotel could elevate its overall appeal. For now, I would consider it a decent option for short stays, especially if dining isn’t your top priority.

Das Hotel war sauber und schön. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frau Kusum war sehr nett und professionell und hat sogar das Zimmer entsprechend unseren Bedürfnissen geändert. Das Frühstück war mit guter Verbreitung wie üblich für JW-Standards. Nur Rückkehr, zu viele Gäste. Während des Frühstücks und der Lobbys wurden durch Hochzeiten und Veranstaltungen mit Menschen gefüllt. Andernfalls waren Service, Einrichtungen und Pool-Gebiete alle schön. Everything was perfect; except the dinner buffet. We will come to that later.  I quote four memorable experiences.   1. The reception staff was well-trained and professional and any problems such as a billing confusion was resolved effortlessly, and more, the manager suggested me to relax in my room while they sort out the issue; no need to stand at the reception. What a nice gesture!   2. There was some drainage issue in one of the rooms (I had booked several rooms). A call to zero resolved the issue within 10 minutes. The service was ultra-fast for a hotel of this size.   3. They have shown a bold move by placing specially challenged (speech and hearing) individuals at public facing roles such as the butler, the restaurant waiter, etc. They are all well-trained and were able to communicate with my parents, my kid, and us effortlessly. Of course, none of us are trained in sign-language but somehow they managed it extremely well; hence this was a unique and amazing experience. 4. While we were checking in, there was some confusion with some of our guests who hadn't arrived yet. So, we decided to drop the bags and come back later for checkin. When the manager noticed that my elderly parents were in the car outside, they sent a couple of bottles of water to the car. Costs nothing but left a lasting impression!  The dinner buffet was fine in general but the management could work on the menu and taste better, given the spotless nature of all of their other amenities and services. The breakfast buffet, however, had amazing taste. Moreover, in any other city, I would not have this complain but in Kolkata, the locals are typically foodies and the cheapest to the most expensive places in the city cannot compromise on taste. I would like to give the hotel a benefit of the doubt- I stayed during a (better: the) major North Indian festival. That might explain the main cooks on leave and backup options turned on, who tried their best but did not quite get it right.

Elegant und luxuriöses Hotel in einem schön renovierten Palast der königlichen Familie Kolkata. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, schön mit alten, Holzmöbeln eingerichtet. Das riesige Badezimmer und alle Etagen sind aus Marmor. Das Hotel befindet sich in mehreren Gebäuden des Palastkomplexes. Gemütliches Frühstück kann außerhalb in einem schatten Patio oder in einem klimatisierten Restaurant gegessen werden. Jeden Abend gibt es eine Live-Show von Volksdanzspielern. Einer der besten Hotels, die ich jemals gehabt habe.

Dear Trip.com Team, Ich habe vor kurzem meinen Aufenthalt in Fairfield von Marriott Kolkata abgeschlossen, reserviert durch Ihre Plattform. Obwohl der Buchungsprozess und die Aufenthaltserfahrung zufriedenstellend waren, möchte ich eine bezüglich der Preisunterschiede hervorheben. Der Preis, der auf Trip.com zitiert wurde, war etwa 40% höher als der Preis, der direkt vom Hotel für die gleiche Zimmerkategorie und Aufenthaltsdaten angeboten wurde. Dieser Unterschied ist beträchtlich und ehrlich gesagt unerwartet, vor allem angesichts der Tatsache, dass ich ein Diamantmitglied mit Ihrer Plattform bin. Als geschätzter Mitglied erwartet ich von Trip.com, dass er wettbewerbsfähige oder Präferenzsätze anbietet, die nicht höher sind als das, was das Eigentum selbst anbietet. Ich bitte um eine Überprüfung dieser Preisunkonsistenz und eine Erklärung darüber, wie eine solche große Variation stattgefunden hat. Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

Hospitality was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, which is really commendable as now a days hotel staff are usually found to be inefficient.

Belegen in einem sehr besetzten Bereich, wo die bustlinge Straßen mit Kleidungshändlern verbunden sind. Es wurde in eine große 2-Zimmer-Suite aufgerüstet. Es war jedoch neben den Sitzungsräumen, wo es ein Dutzend sitzende Studenten warten, ihre Interviews für alle 4 Tage wartete ich dort. Zu meinem Zimmer zu kommen bedeutete, eine Reihe von sitzenden Studenten zu gehen.  Obwohl das Zimmer sauber war, war der Duschekubik nicht. Die Kanten waren mit schwarzer Moll gefüllt.  Die Mitarbeiter waren hilfreich und freundlich.  Insgesamt habe ich meinen Aufenthalt genossen.

I just caming first time in holiday inn Kolkata. But, my breakfast experience was very good and food quality also good. Because Food temperature was very good. Mafijul Islam is very good server. His behavior was just amazing & taking way as well. If I get this kind of service then definitely second time will come.
