Booked for two nights to go to Beamish museum . Travelling by train. Walk , part uphill to Castle takes about 30 minutes from the station. Uber £ 8 bus quite complicated.  There is a bus from town centre to the hotel  but it’s quite complicated suggest if unable to walk book a Uber. Bus  from town centre to Beamish entry very easy,  £2.50.  Now for the Castle itself. You can’t help falling in love with the quaint and worn castle the ‘worn’ being part of its attraction. We stayed in the stables in an upstair room. Stairs are quite narrow with small landings so  not suited to those with hip and calling difficulties. Bed , bedding and bathroom immaculate and very comfortable. Room very peaceful with early waking of bird song. Bathroom had a separate magnifying mirror which was very much appreciated. Down side was the dust on the beams over the bed hence the lower score for cleanliness.  Now for the breakfast and restaurant service. Faultless. Food of the highest quality with service to match. Breakfast matches the London 5 star ratings.  Overall this hotel was exceptionally good value and a place we plan to visit again. We highly recommend this for anyone visiting Beamish who appreciates high quality food, something a little different, peace and quiet who enjoys a lovely bath.

We stayed in a deluxe garden room, which was spacious but ultimately disappointing given the high price point. The layout was awkward and not very user-friendly—there were no plug sockets near the bed to charge phones, and the room lacked air conditioning, making it uncomfortably warm and stuffy. To make matters worse, the window/door was broken, so we couldn’t ventilate the room without compromising security. Since it opened directly onto the golf course, guests and golfers were frequently walking past, which also raised privacy concerns. Unfortunately, the room offered very little privacy unless the curtains were drawn—however, the lighting inside was quite poor. Sheer or net curtains would have made a big difference. Surprisingly, for a 4-star hotel, the room lacked basic amenities: no mini fridge, no bathrobes or slippers, no face towels or facial tissues, and the bathroom toiletries were extremely basic. Even the ironing board was old and difficult to use. Staff did attempt to fix the door/window and provided a fan and extension lead, but these were temporary solutions at best. After some back and forth, we were finally upgraded to a better room, which made a big difference. On a positive note, the grounds, spa, food, and overall service were lovely. Just a word of advice: avoid booking the deluxe garden room—it doesn’t live up to expectations.

The size of the room is specious with sufficient space for storing luggage, and the floor is very clean and comfortable to walk on with bare feet, so feel free to leave your shoe by the door. As for the bed, it is very large and comfortable, providing you the high quality of sleeping without any problems. In the bathroom, it is not only very elegant and clean, but also provides unlimited hot water with satisfying water pressure from two types of shower heads. Moreover, there is a mini fridge placed in the lower closet near the wardrobe, feel free to drink the two bottles of spring water prepared by the host or store your own drinks or unfinished meals. In addition, there is a small safe above the fridge for depositing your valuables. In terms of the amenities on the ground floor, there is a high-end restaurant serving traditional English breakfast (e.g. egg benedict) in the morning, and the taste is fine. However, I am not a big fan of their lunch or dinner when you can have better options in nearby restaurants. Furthermore, there is a small bar just outside the restaurant. The Gym, coffee room and reception are at the LG level, and you will receive a 10% discount in the coffee room after check-in. The location is very close to the city center, train station and several main attractions such as the cathedral and castle. Overall, I enjoy my two-day stay very much, the price of the hotel is very cost-effective in terms of the four-star standards, providing an unforgettable experience for both tourists and business travelers.

Große Lage, das Zimmer war sauber und hatte alle wesentlichen Dinge. Fantastische Service, das Personal war unglaublich hilfreich. Ich würde es absolut empfehlen.

一次定了兩間全家出遊，酒店地理位置非常好，就在市中心附近，周圍吃飯、購物都很方便。房間雖然不算特別大，但非常乾淨整潔，佈局合理。床非常舒服，枕頭和被子都很柔軟，睡覺特別踏實。浴室很乾凈，水壓剛好，洗澡體驗非常不錯。 早餐很豐富，有熱食也有冷餐，種類多樣，味道也挺好，尤其是煎蛋和香腸，吃得很滿足。工作人員態度非常好，服務細緻周到，讓人感覺很温暖。入住和退房過程都非常順利，沒有任何麻煩。 總體來説，這家酒店物有所值，特別適合短住或商務出差，下次有機會還會再來。

Amazing hotel, perfect location for shopping at the Metro Centre. Fantastic breakfast with good quality ingredients. Also a steam room and swimming pool. The price was really cheap, considering everything on offer. Highly recommended for a short stay.

Mehr wie ein Club 18-30 Erfahrung. Das Hotel war fantastisch, das Essen war ausgezeichnet und das Personal ging weg, weit über. Allerdings ist die Hauptfunktion eines Hotels, wo man schläft. Das Hotel hatte zwei Hochzeiten in der Nacht meines Aufenthalts und zwischen 12:45 und 14:30 war ich nicht in der Lage, für den Schrei, lachen, Party, die über die Gänge stattfand. Ich habe nie von einem Personal gehört, das versucht, die Situation zu lösen, nur viel Lärm. Ich musste 20 £ für meine Hunde zu bezahlen, um zu bleiben und sie wurden nicht erlaubt In dem Restaurant - das ist sehr vernünftig, aber ich muss sagen, dass sie besser verhalten als die anderen Tiere, die nicht gezwungen waren, irgendwelche Zuschläge zu bezahlen oder nicht gezwungen, zu folgen alle grundlegenden Verhaltensregeln. Beim checkout wurde mir nicht einmal gefragt, ob ich einen angenehmen Aufenthalt hatte. Ich nehme an, das Personal wollte nicht die Bestätigung ihrer Missmanagement. Wenn dies die Art der Einrichtung ist, die verwendet wird, aber Trip.com, dann kann ich nur sagen, dass erste Eindrücke eine lange Straße gehen und ich werde in Zukunft an andere Hotelvermittler halten.

Schönes Hotel um die Ecke von Beamish Standort, sehr sauber, Zimmer gute Größe mit Bad und Dusche, Lebensmittel und Getränke schön präsentiert, Personal superb, Spaziergänge für alle Fähigkeiten von Ihnen eine Wanderung wollen

Hotel in einem historischen Gebäude direkt im Zentrum der Stadt. Es ist ein schöner Ort zu bleiben und hat eine bequeme Lage. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Sehr schönes und historisches Hotel, ziemlich ein wenig zu Fuß zu unserem Zimmer zu kommen. Auch hatte Probleme mit den Treppen in den Hallen, ziemlich ungünstig, um unsere Taschen ins Zimmer zu bekommen
