"The room we had, which was Coach House 2, we found to be very noisy. Lots of creaking floors from above and also right next door to the delivery area for the kitchens so I would advise to avoid this room! We had booked a 2-night stay and asked to be moved for the 2nd night, which we were. Assisted by Maria, who was extremely helpful and apologetic regarding our disturbed night - we were then moved into the main hotel to the top floor and had a very good night's sleep."

AAnonymer BenutzerI stayed in the Zara room on the ground floor of the Farm Cottage, and it was absolutely beautiful. The room was decorated so thoughtfully and was equipped with everything I could have needed, including robes, a selection of teas and coffees, and biscuits.
The bathroom was equally stunning, with a lovely freestanding bath and a separate waterfall shower. The White Company toiletries were a really luxurious touch, and the room itself smelt beautiful from the moment I walked in.
I also loved having a Smart TV in the room, which meant I could relax and watch Netflix during my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the duvet was so lovely and plush. I genuinely had one of the best nights’ sleeps I’ve had in a long time.
Whilst I didn’t dine in the restaurant for my evening meal, breakfast was included with my stay, so I visited the restaurant the following morning. I enjoyed a teapot of tea and the pancakes with fresh fruit and Chantilly cream, which were lovely.
The staff in both reception and the restaurant were polite, friendly and attentive throughout my stay. There was also plenty of on site parking very close to reception, which was really convenient. The grounds were beautiful and clearly very well looked after, and it was lovely seeing the horses in the nearby field too.
Everything felt so well thought out, luxurious and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely love to return!

GGastnutzerThe location is beautiful, in the middle of the countryside no other houses in sight and stunning grounds, just what we wanted. check in was quick and easy and staff were lovely. as you walk through the building its beautifully decorated. The room (119) was a little tired, marks on wall as you enter, cobweb on ceiling, wardrobe only had 1 mirror door not two and wasn't clean, 1 bulb out in bathroom, extractor fan not working, tiny bit of shower gel in bottle, had to ask for more, hole in carpet, and very threadbare in parts, windows not cleaned. Bed was comfy and clean and towels were clean. room was nice I just expected little more attention to cleaning and to maintenance. We used the pool area, again its tired, all the facilities are there and working fine just feels like it needs a lick of paint and good clean. We had good nights sleep, excellent blackout curtains. Breakfast was in beautiful room with views over the garden, service was excellent, the cold buffet was fine, nothing special all the basics, English breakfast was again ok, 1 of everything, was £48 for the two of us which felt a lot for what we were served. Overall a nice stay but certainly no WOW for your money.

GGastnutzerA simply amazing stay. Firstly Ian and his team helped us remedy an error made by ******* on booking rooms at the Bowes hotel. Really friendly and interpersonal staff along with extensive knowledge of the area and further beyond particularly Hadrian's Wall path along with the Roman Museums and Forts. The food served was amazing aswell, better than some other independent restaurants, also the Thai-cakes are a must try! The room is clean and tidy with a great buffet breakfast to boot, they also make lunch for your journey ahead.
If you are staying at Bardon Mill, this is the place to be, just a walk away from the station that connects back to Newcastle. Friendly neighbourhood and locals that shares stories from their journeys and also fellow travellers from around the world mostly doing the Hadrian's Wall walk. I cannot fault this wonderful and cosy hotel and pub that is the Bowes Hotel!

GGastnutzerI had a very pleasant stay here. It’s a solid choice if you are looking for a reliable and affordable base in the area.
The price is very reasonable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are well-maintained and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay.
While the hotel itself is great, please be aware that the location requires some planning. It is a bit of a distance from both Alnmouth Railway Station and Alnwick Castle.
Public transport (buses) in this area is very limited and infrequent. I highly recommend checking the timetables in advance and leaving plenty of buffer time to ensure you don’t miss your connections.

PPat fooPurdy ist wirklich ein einfaches Geschäftshotel mit großem Parling entlang der Hihway sauber effizient. Lage weise ist es ausgezeichnet , in der Nähe der Heiligen Insel Newcastle Alnwick, Berkwick und Bamburg. Es gibt eine Tankstelle in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind sauber Waschräume sind Gut, funktionierend. Die Überraschung ist das Personal und die Pflege und das Restaurant anschließend, die so gut sind. Essen ist fantastisch. Während des Abendessens waren die Fische und Chips erstaunlich wie die Schweinebärmutter. Frühstück war erstaunlich. Ich würde hier wieder bleiben, wenn ich zu diesem Bereich gehe. wunderbar . ruhig in der Nacht . schöne große Fenster, die die Wellenwindgrasland übersehen. wunderschön bleiben

YYuanzuoyitiaoredaiyuEine sehr charakteristische Aufenthaltserfahrung ist das wahre Mittelalters Schloss und die Wahl ist die Josephine Suite, die eine der wenigen Zimmer im Schloss ist, besonders wie die mittleren Fenster im Zimmer und Fotos sind sehr erscheinend. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück war großartig, das allgemeine Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut, die Nacht war sehr ruhig, es gab kaum Lichtverschmutzung und man kann man die Sternen von Manchu sehen. Die empfohlene ist die Burgtour, es gibt ein spezielles Personal, das Sie den ganzen Schloss besuchen und auf den Spitzen steigen wird, die Landschaft ist einzigartig. Es gibt auch 🦚
Wenn Sie das einzigartige Schloss erleben wollen, ist es sehr zu empfehlen.

GGastnutzerKomfortable Zimmer, schöne Auswahl an Toiletten mit angenehmem Scent. wunderschönes Essen. Battlesteads konnten einen Haustierhund ( auch tierpack) beherbergen . Große Auswahl für Frühstück und Geschmack Ringtons Kaffee. Dies war ein Geburtstagspause, so dass nur eine Nacht Aufenthalt , Bucht Bett und Frühstück, beschlossen, Abendessen hinzuzufügen. Das Dorf Wark ist schön zu Fuß, über die Brücke zu Fußballfeld auf eine Weise und der Hund zu Fuß, das Wetter half, den Aufenthalt zu machen, wie es warme Herbstsolar. sah Grey Heron an der Flussbank. Würde empfehlen und würde wieder gehen.

The staff were super friendly .
I saved my bag before check. They did me a breakfast takeout as needed to be out early. They also helped me when i got stranded there as made a mistake with the buses. When i realised there are no buses on a sunday they helped me by chatting to a couple of guests who on leaving were going my way and kindly said they would drop me off.
I loved the stay. Top tip.. check buses if going by bus.
