The pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean. The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season. The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages. Local food is excellent. I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

Sehr sauber, sehr gut. Drei Betten sind auch gut, wenn Sie wohnen. Es ist etwas weit von dem berühmten Bar-Gebiet entfernt, aber es ist leicht, mit dem Bus zu kommen. Das Hotel umgibt einen Supermarkt und eine Bar, ruhig und reich. Und als ich ihm sagte, dass es mein Freundes Geburtstag war, hat er Schokolade gelassen.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this location might just suit you — provided you’re comfortable with being quite far from anything of note. That said, it’s not entirely cut off; there’s a bus stop directly outside with services running roughly every 15 and 30 minutes, which does make getting around manageable. The setting is quiet and relaxing, with a pleasant bar on-site and a decent selection of tapas, which added a nice touch to the evenings. However, there were a few drawbacks during our stay. The television in the room didn’t work at all — unsure if it was just the batteries in the remote or a more serious issue, but we couldn’t get any power to it, which was a shame. Breakfast was tidy and kept us going, but it did become repetitive after a couple of days. The pastries in particular were a bit disappointing — rather dry and not the freshest. Overall, it’s a good spot if you value tranquillity and can cope with a bit of isolation. With reliable transport links it offers a relaxing base, albeit with room for improvement in a few areas. There is a confidence shop and a bar that does food about 10 mins walk away and playground for children mostly in neighbourhood of homes though.

Allerdings gab es einige enttäuschende Aspekte des Aufenthalts. Die Lage ist nicht sehr zentrale, was bedeutet, dass Sie auf Busse oder Taxis häufiger zu verlassen, als erwartet, um die Altstadt und die wichtigsten touristischen Gebiete zu erreichen. Die größte Enttäuschung war, dass das Telefon im Zimmer nicht während des gesamten Aufenthalts funktionierte, trotz der Berichterstattung über das Thema. Leider war es nie behoben, was Kommunikation mit der Empfangsunterbrechung machte. Ein weiterer Enttäuschungspunkt war die komplimentäre Wasserpolitik. Wasser wurde erst am ersten Tag, auch während eines 4-day Aufenthalts, bereitgestellt, was für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie unnötig schädlich fühlte. Das Hotel verfügt über gute Design und komfortable Einrichtungen, aber die Serviceerfahrung und die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Gästekomfort können definitiv verbessert werden.

At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed. However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded. I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day. Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better. The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room. While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests. In the end, we ended up paying the €25. **Beware of the 'Upgrade.'”**

La estancia fue agradable en general. Las habitaciones son bastante sencillas y el aislamiento acústico podría mejorar, ya que se escucha con claridad lo que ocurre en las habitaciones contiguas. El hotel está bien ubicado, en una zona muy tranquila. Eso sí, si planeas moverte a pie, ten en cuenta que el regreso puede ser algo exigente por las cuestas. La gran ventaja de su localización es el fácil acceso desde cualquier punto sin necesidad de atravesar el centro de la ciudad, ya que está muy bien conectado con autopistas y carreteras principales. El desayuno merece una mención especial: muy completo, con gran variedad y productos de calidad.
