Ordentliches Hotel. Kein 5-Sterne-Hotel, aber ein ordentliches 4-Sterne-Hotel. Es fehlen ein paar Kleinigkeiten, um als 5-Sterne-Hotel zu gelten. Ein großes Lob an Fernando und Marcio, die hervorragende Mitarbeiter am Pool waren. Sie sorgten dafür, dass unsere Getränke voll waren und hatten immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Auch Monique, unsere Reinigungskraft, war ausgezeichnet und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Das Personal an der Rezeption, das unseren Check-in und Check-out erledigte, war ebenfalls sehr gut. Ich fand es etwas seltsam, dass alle Verkäufer im ganzen Hotel versuchten, Timesharing zu verkaufen. Das Frühstückspersonal war großartig und glücklich. Das Abendpersonal nicht so sehr. Insgesamt war es ein guter Aufenthalt und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

This property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality. The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good. The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age. I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view.

Die Erfahrung war unglaublich! Wunderschönes Hotel, gut organisiert, Personal äußerst höflich und freundlich. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und super sauber, gemütlich, das Bett, die Kissen und die Bettwäsche waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Der Pool hat eine angenehme Temperatur, eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, auch die Poolbar ist toll. Das Frühstück ist unglaublich, das Essen ist köstlich und bietet viel Abwechslung. Der Aufenthalt war 10/10. Wir lieben es!

Das Hotel war sehr angenehm zu bleiben. Das Frühstücksklasse gut genug. In 10 Minuten zu Fuß können Sie zu Einkaufs- und Busshalte erreichen.

L’hôtel est bien, un peu vieillot comme la majorité des hôtels de Copacabana. Literie confortable. Excellent petit déjeuner. Par contre la piscine sur le toit c’est une « baignoire «  3x 6 m, avec 10 bains de soleil…jamais de place. Chambre vue partielle mer, vous voyez juste l’arbre devant l’hôtel, pas la mer. On demande le matin si on peut avoir un Check out tardif, à 16 h (on avait un pickup prévu à 16:30) on nous dit oui est on vous l’offre, c’est gratuit. A 14 h on nous appelle pour nous dire qu’il faut partir si non c’est payant 107 euros, et qu’on nous a jamais dit que c’est gratuit…Pas agréable.

Das Personal war durchweg ausgezeichnet. Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool und die Bar auf dem Dach waren ein besonderes Highlight. Der einzige Nachteil war die Lage. Man muss zu so ziemlich allem außer dem Einkaufszentrum nebenan ein Taxi nehmen.

O hostel é lindo, mas o banheiro do quarto fedia bastante, e os outros hóspedes do quarto pediram limpeza e não veio. O espaço é gostoso e aconchegante, e boa estrutura. O restaurante deixa um pouco a desejar no atendimento e nas opções, mas é agradável de ficar.

Hotellage ok. Etwa 30 Minuten von Copacabana entfernt ohne Verkehr. Solides vier Sterne Hotel ohne besonderen Luxus. Pool wurde nicht getestet. Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber bestenfalls gehobener Durchschnitt.

This hotel is a great stay in Barra. Like a lot of hotels in Rio, this one is old. The place has some relics of the last century: the phone is old, the furniture is old, etc. However, it makes up for it in other ways. The service is excellent at this property. The breakfast is very good, the room service is great and cheap, and all of the staff from doormen to bellhops to reception are attentive and professional. The breakfast attendants are more professional than most local waiters. You will get excellent service here. The hotel is also very pretty despite its age. The hallways and lobby are large, and it looks premium. The location is incredible if you like Barra. We only stayed one night, but we had a decent side view of the ocean from our room, and we easily had enough time for a nice walk on the beach before check-out. Windsor Barra Hotel is a great value; stay here if you value service and excellent access to Barra’s beach.
