Ordentliches Hotel. Kein 5-Sterne-Hotel, aber ein ordentliches 4-Sterne-Hotel. Es fehlen ein paar Kleinigkeiten, um als 5-Sterne-Hotel zu gelten. Ein großes Lob an Fernando und Marcio, die hervorragende Mitarbeiter am Pool waren. Sie sorgten dafür, dass unsere Getränke voll waren und hatten immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Auch Monique, unsere Reinigungskraft, war ausgezeichnet und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Das Personal an der Rezeption, das unseren Check-in und Check-out erledigte, war ebenfalls sehr gut. Ich fand es etwas seltsam, dass alle Verkäufer im ganzen Hotel versuchten, Timesharing zu verkaufen. Das Frühstückspersonal war großartig und glücklich. Das Abendpersonal nicht so sehr. Insgesamt war es ein guter Aufenthalt und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Das Hotelschwimmbad war außer Betrieb und ich habe miterlebt, wie einer der Mitarbeiter an der Hotelrezeption dem Gast sagte, dass er, wenn er nicht warten wollte, bis der Kerl sein Handtuch bekam, einfach ohne das Handtuch an den Strand gehen konnte ...

I’d describe this hotel as utilitarian. No decor or warmth at all. The common areas are spacious and quite bare.Table and chairs at the restaurant are plain brown wood, The lobby is sparsely furnished with some worn , drab and very uncomfortable seats. Bathrooms are the same. Just the very bare essentials, not even a box of tissue paper ( and thin toilet paper) We travelled long hours,  arrived at 22:00 looking forward to a good shower …not to be. We were up for a bad start. There  was just a trickle of water not enough to bathe or properly brush teeth either. That could have been a whole area problem as we were told that water pressure can sometimes drop in some areas of the city. We changed rooms , water pressure  wasn’t much better the next day either, the water flow improved just a little and remained as such the whole week. We had paid for 5 nights and ended up staying as the city was packed that week . To go looking for another hotel during the G20 summit which Rio was hosting that week of November 2024 would not be an easy task.  On the positive side, staff was pleasant and accommodating, bed was comfortable and from our perspective, the breakfast buffet was the best feature of this hotel offering abundant variety of  food to meet all tastes- cereal, fruits and cheeses, cold cuts, several hot savory breakfast  dishes - incl. some Brazilian regional dishes as well, a huge selection of breads, cakes, good coffee, and more. Very satisfying. Including breakfast in the booking is highly recommended.  The good fare offered at the hotel at lunch and dinner not good at all. However, there are also three of four restaurants lined up on a small stretch within 5 min walking distance of the hotel- one of them is a very good authentic European Portuguese cuisine and wine. Aprox. US$ 52 for a meal for two. On the same cluster of shops there is a well established Brazilian cuisine restaurant with a good menu where one can eat well for anything  between US$ 12  to US$ 15 and a steak house similar to the Australian Outback steak house.  There are also other eateries snd convenience shops, a pharmacy on the same stretch ( 5 min walk ffrom the hotel) including a 24 hr laundromat where one can expect to wash and dry a load for about US$ 7.  As for location, this hotel is not close to the most well known districts of Rio - places like Copacabana, Ipanema , Leblon - but Barra da Tijuca is a special area in itself and arguably has the best beach in town. The hotel is just a 10 - 15 min taxi ride to Barra Shopping-  the largest and best shopping mall in the whole state of Rio de Janeiro where one can find anything,  including restaurants (recommend trying Jappa all you can eat Japanese food spread for US$ 26 as in Nov 2024). On the whole , when compared with the fashionable and pricey districts of Copacabana , Ipanema Leblon  this hotel is good value for money . I’d stay there again if they fixed the shower situation b’cause this feature matters for me.

Das Hotel war schön und sauber und das Zimmer wurde täglich mit frischen Handtüchern gereinigt Wir hatten ein Eckeszimmer im Turm 2 großes Zimmer mit komfortablem Super King Bett auf dem 10. Stock Wasserdruck zum Duschen war schlechte Empfanger bot ein anderes Zimmer und Druck war besser, aber das Badezimmer fühlte sich ein bisschen datiert Windows we’re not sound proof this was a little in convenient as there was a major construction site opposite and the hotel is on a main road to the beach Frühstück hatte viel Wahl Es gab kostenloses WLAN im Zimmer, das war ein großes, sehr schlechtes Signal.

Não é a primeira vez que fico nesse hotel, dessa vez fiz minha reserva pela trip minha diária estava com a data errada. Por parte do hotel, gerência, recepção, chefe de cozinha… equipe geral. Toda a situação ficou amena e acolhida por eles, mais uma vez me senti perfeitamente acolhida com a hospitalidade deles. Vir em Búzios e não passar pelo Greco não faz muito sentido pra mim! Lage ist topp- direkt an der Copacabana- mit dem 30. Stock der höchste Pool an der Copacabana ; leider Pool sehr klein, manchmal keine Handtücher; keine umkleide- duschen und umziehen in der Sauna geht 😉 empfohlen Upgrade auf super Luxus darin ist ein Frühstück im Restaurant im 30. Stock mit Blick auf die Copacabana drin - super. Leider ist WLAN eine Qual 🥹 ständig neu einwählen- das können auch viel billigere Hotels besser 🙄

This property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality. The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good. The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age. I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view.

Um excelente hotel, recomendo de olho fechado. Ótimo atendimento, quarto maravilhoso, café da manhã maravilhoso também. Tudo perfeito.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel, sehr modern und groß, das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel und mit ausgezeichneten Aussichten. Das Frühstück ist super komplett und komfortabel. Die Lage des Hotels ist vor dem Meer und nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto von verschiedenen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Gegend.

Sehr gutes Hotel, Standardservice, freundlicher Service, Sauberkeit ist ok, einziges Detail ist das Fehlen eines Bügeleisens... diese Hotelgröße. Ich schlage vor, Sie haben eine großartige Erfahrung.
