We stayed in the Keele Courtyard for 3 nights 27-30 December 2025, close enough to the village of Woore where our son hosted a large family gathering - 15 in all of which we are the parents of 3 and grandparents of 7. We found most aspects of the hotel to be very good - very helpful and obliging staff, a spacious and well-appointed room with a large very accessible bathroom. The generous bed was perhaps a little soft for our taste, with pillows that were too large/over-filled to be completely comfortable, again not to our taste, however we slept without too much 'distress'!! Our main disappointment was breakfast. We dined at 7.45am on our first morning as we had a 9am church service to attend and there were few others in the restaurant. The 'heated' plates were cold, and without exception, every cooked item (an acceptable selection available) in the chafers was tepid if not cold and greasy. The fried egg yolks were solid and unpalatable. The generic plain yoghurt was of thin consistency and tasteless. The unlabelled marmalade, (if that was what it was?!) had no flavour and might even have been apricot jam ... There were plenty of cereal, pastry, Danish, roll, fruit, cold cut options etc. and the fruit salad and compote were delicious! The bread for toasting was basic and there were no uncut options to enable a choice of thickness. There was a seeded loaf, already sliced, available near the pastries, etc. which made delicious toast but could perhaps have been available for individual guests to cut more thickly? The coffee from the machines was good, with a varied selection of choices. In order to have a cup of tea, it was necessary to 'dunk' a teabag in a mug - yes, very much what many tea- drinkers do in their daily lives, but surely the availability of small stainless steel tea pots near the hot water is not beyond the imagination of an organisation like Marriot? Tea tastes so much better if allowed to brew in a teapot before being poured into a cup or mug! Perhaps these comments will allow Marriot to review some of their Buffet Breakfast practises and improve the quality of the experience. May I conclude by saying that we have had worse and better - but are still looking for perfection ... ! Thank you for this opportunity to air my feelings. ************.

Staff is friendly and make us feel welcomed. Hotel’s facility is Morden and nice. Breakfast hot item isovercooked a little bit but all others is ok.

Room was on the small size, but had everything needed. Bathroom was clean and neat.  The only thing that let this trip down, was that the aircon is not working, and hasn’t been working for months. I previously had left this hotel as it was far too hot in the room, and all they offered was a fan. I called reception before booking, and they said how the air con was working, but then when I arrived, they said it “may be working, in some rooms”, but wasn’t working in ours.  But overall, this was a nice and comfortable hotel. Would book again once aircon is working.

Beste Bits Das Schloss ist ein wunderschönes altes, modisches Hotel, perfekt für Einkaufen, Flusspromenaden und IMHO, das beste Pub in Tamworth, das Old Bank House gerade über die Straße. Es ist auch nur etwa 6 Minuten zu Fuß vom Jolly Sailor lange Aufenthaltsparkplatz, wo 24 Stunden Parkplatz kostet nur £2. Der Mann auf dem Vordertafel war sehr hilfreich und zeigte uns ins Zimmer. Als er herausfand, dass wir ein paar Mal im Hotel verblieben wären, bot er uns sogar an, in ein Zimmer zu verbringen, das wir vorher verblieben hätten. Wir haben das Standard-Doppelzimmer mit einem sehr komfortablen Bett und Tee-/Kaffee-Herstellungseinrichtungen gewählt. Es gab auch ein großes Flachbild-TV (nicht versucht). Bei der Rückseite des Hotels bedeutete es, dass es keinen Lärm von der Straße. Das Zimmer sah einen kleinen Innenhof mit den Feuertreppen und in der richtigen Ecke konnte man nur die Krenellationen von Tamworth Castle selbst ausmachen! Wir haben das Hotel nicht gegessen, aber am nächsten Morgen sprachen wir mit anderen Gästen, die über das fantastische kochene Frühstück raubten, so dass wir es vermutlich probieren, wenn wir nächstes Mal kommen. Leichte Nebenwirkungen Das en-suite Bad hatte ein Bad mit Dusche, das sehr wirksam war, als das heiße Wasser endlich durchkam. Dies könnte durch Drehen auf das heiße Wasserbad gedreht werden. Ein wenig neben dem Bad mit einem Fan anstelle der natürlichen Belüftung war, dass es Zeiten dauerte, um den Dampf so waschen und Inhalte ein wenig Dampf. Es gab keine Sitze im Zimmer.

Ich war kürzlich in diesem Hotel und leider fällt die Erfahrung unter die Erwartungen. Von Anfang an schien das Personal nicht so aufmerksam wie sie sollten. Obwohl sie bei direkter Annäherung freundlich waren, gab es einen bemerkenswerten Mangel an Initiative, und manchmal fühlte es sich, als ob die Gäste die Dinge selbst herausfinden lassen. Das Zimmer selbst hatte mehrere Fragen, die wirklich nicht übersehen werden sollten. Der Toilettensitz war nicht richtig ausgestattet, und oben war der Toilettenfluss schlau und funktionierte nicht so reibungslos wie es sollte. Die Dusche hatte auch eine Form auf dem Silikon, das enttäuschend war und Bedenken hinsichtlich der Instandhaltungs- und Reinigungsniveaus hervorgehoben. Ein weiteres Problem war die in dem Zimmer gelieferte Kuchen. Es war schmutzig bei der Ankunft, was sofort Zweifel an den allgemeinen Hygienestandards geschaffen. Kleine Details wie diese machen einen großen Unterschied in der Zuversicht und Komfort eines Gastes. Während das Hotel in Form und Ausstattung potenziell ist, haben diese Fragen den Aufenthalt viel weniger angenehm gemacht. Ich hoffe wirklich, das Management löst diese Bedenken, so dass künftige Gäste eine viel bessere Erfahrung haben können.

We booked to stay here as we had a daytime function nearby. We had a few hotels as options and chose here as it was a special occasion and this felt like a treat. We all arrived at different times to get changed before leaving and said we all felt like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. The staff weren't friendly or very helpful. We arrived back from our function at 7.30pm and checked in, there was a change in staff but not a change in customer service. We asked if we could get food from the restaurant and was told we couldn't because of ”everything else going on” which we assume was a wedding nor could we order room service. We asked if we were allowed to go for a drink in the bar and they said we could if we ”could find a table”. We weren't informed of where breakfast was, the times or when check out was. We went out for food in the end, but be mindful there isn't anything particularly nearby so it was a challenge with taxis but we found somewhere to eat easy enough (and had a lovely time). The hotel itself is beautiful as are the grounds so we were really disappointed that the service didn't match it.

We really like staying here, if only for a single night to break up the evening drive from the south to the north west, picking our trip up again the following morning. Our most recent visit was the first using our new (to us) EV, so charging on site proved anxiety calming and very effective - albeit pricey! Das Hotel ist in der Nähe von Parkplatz und ist in der Nähe von Parkplatz. Es hatte alles, was ich für einen 3-Nacht-Wohnwohner benötigt hatte und war geräumig, obwohl das Badezimmer ziemlich klein war. Zimmer sind nicht serviert und ich hätte nicht eine Ersatz-Wäscherolle hinterlassen. Als ich einen von der Rezeption bekam, schien es nicht ein Lager zu sein, so wurde mir eine vom öffentlichen Waschraum genommen. Auch die Dusche konnte nicht angepasst werden, so war eine konstante, sehr heiße, Temperatur. Viele Orte in der Nähe für Nahrungsmittel und Getränke. 

A great little place with a lovely swimming pool. Enough activities to keep our 8 year old daughter happy. Lovely family time together in a very clean and well equipped lodge.

Back ina time it was really great hotel and now it is till they need little bit renovation but trust me it’s a great hotel nice swimming pool you have to have swimming cap and googles to swim which was not told before and I don’t think k this is right but service rooms breakfast location is all great another thing I do t like they took deposit which didn’t make sense and they haven’t returned yet
