We just came back from our 4 nights stay. The Inn looked clean and offered a good breakfast, although in a different building. That is pretty much it. Our stay was not the most pleasant though. We booked a room for 3 people (we were traveling with our teenage kid) and at the time of booking I specified that I needed a room large enough for three people and an additional bed for our son. I called the Inn twice in the week prior to our arrival to make sure we had the room we needed and to let them know that we were arriving late in the evening. We arrived on Thursday night at 9 pm to find out that the room we were given was incredibly small and there was no place for an additional bed. The receptionist, a foreign student, called the manager who told her to add a cot to the already small room. We asked for another room and we were offered a room on the third story that was identical to the one we were given but with an awful smell and we declined it. The receptionist told us to either take the room we were assigned or leave. Little caveat, we had already prepaid a non refundable rate and at this time of the year there are no rooms available on Old Orchard Beach without a reservation. The receptionist did not seem to understand the conundrum of the prepaid non refundable stay and did not want to call the manager a second time to try to help us out. We did not want to lose the money we had already disbursed for our vacation so we had no choice but to take the room we were given, move the furniture around to fit a cot bed between our bed and a bureau (which then we could not use because his bed was right against the drawers). Every night we had to move all the luggage against the door to have enough space for the three of us to get to the tiniest bathroom you can think of (a closet repurposed as a bathroom). I do not understand why they accepted the reservation and ended up messing up with our vacation. They could have rejected the reservation saying that they did not have a room for us and I would have booked a room somewhere else. This small room could have worked for a couple but did not work for a family. The room service is offered every other day which meant leaving wet towels from 3 people's showers on the bathroom for an entire day. On one day, I asked for a garbage bag and put the wet towels outside the floor for someone to pick up. Same for the garbage. They sat there in the hallway until the next day. How do they expect people to shower every day, without a change of towels, especially after spending a day at the beach? There are a lot of things that could have been done better. We have been at OOB several times and other motels offer a much better service. I think there is a lot of potential but they need better management. Will not stay there again.

Wir blieben im Zimmer im Anhang und unsere Gruppe blieb in zwei Zimmern. - sehr sauber und neu! Das Zimmer ist sauber und geräumig und das Bett ist komfortabel! Das Badezimmer ist klein, aber sehr sauber! Wir schliefen sehr gut! Das Frühstück war graben und gehen - gut für Wanderer! Sie haben Waschbecken und Innenpool. Wir haben den Pool nicht benutzt, aber es sah groß und sauber aus. Wir haben nicht viel Service benutzt, aber das Personal am Front Desk war schön, als wir Fragen gestellt. Das einzige ist, dass ein Zimmer einen Geruch von neuen renovierten Zimmern hat - Glücklich haben wir einen Sack gekauft und nicht viel im Zimmer geblieben, so dass es annehmbar war. Das andere Zimmer war jedoch Geruchsfrei! Abhängig davon, welches Zimmer Sie bleiben denke ich. Es gibt eine Walmart in der Nähe und die Tesla-Supergebühr, jedoch ist die Route eine einzige Route vor dem Hotel und etwa 40 Minuten Fahrt zum Acadia Nationalpark so nicht sehr bequem, aber wir sind sehr dankbar für die letzte Minute Buchung d/t Plumbing-Frage an der anderen Stelle wir blieben! Gesamt gut Aufenthaltserfahrung und ich würde das jemandem empfehlen, der in einem sauberen und schönen Inn bleiben möchte - das Zimmer, das wir definitiv besser als ein Motelzimmer geblieben!!

Das Hotel befindet sich am schönen Meeresrand, es gibt private Häfen und Meeresstraßen, das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, die Landschaft des Restaurants ist auch sehr gut, das Parken ist bequem, das Bett ist sehr groß, sehr geeignet für Familien- und Freundenurlaub?

Very clean, accommodating staff. If I could suggest anything, it would be that they would explain when asked about being pet friendly that they don’t allow pets to stay in the room while you’re not there and charge a $250 fine if you leave the room. We were confused because in other hotels that we stayed, we were allowed to leave the dogs. This makes it rather difficult when you arrive at the location and you’re an hour and a half away from your house that you have to now find a dog sitter or a dog daycare while you go out of your hotel room to me it defeats the purpose because I know I would’ve left them with the dog sitter at home either that or they clarify their stance on such issues like “do you have a dog here well as long as he stays quiet, it’s OK“ something to that effect.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Ellsworth/Bar Harbor! The hotel was spotless, our room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to start the day, and the location was perfect for exploring Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor. It was nice to come back each evening to a clean, relaxing room after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the friendly service and how well the property was maintained. If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay while visiting the Downeast Maine area, we highly recommend the Hampton Inn Ellsworth/Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was great. We had a little maintenance issue with the room but the maintenance staff came right up to resolve our issue. Front desk girl was very professional and courteous. She was on the phone with what sounded like a previous guest who was clearly complaining about something regarding the sales tax and a reservation with the previous private owner prior to Quality Inn taking over. She handled herself very well, calm professional and respectful even though the person on the other end of the line was not reciprocating those same qualities. She got off the phone and helped me with a great smile and very attentive to my questions. Great job!!

Sehr bequem gelegen im Acadia National Park. Es ist sehr sauber, geräumig und modern. Plus es hat nur einen Stock, was den Aufenthalt ruhiger macht. Ich habe in besser bekannten Ketten wie Marriott verblieben, und diese Erfahrung hat meine Vorurteile für Motel verändert.

Old and not maintained (spiderwebs all over the lawns in between the various buildings; our room came ‘equiped’ with a leftover flosser and socks on the floor from the previous occupants, sink was clogged, ancient air conditioning unit). Sie sagten, sie haben einen Pool, Zugang zu Kayaks, Paddeln und was nicht, wir blieben nur eine Nacht und es regnete, so dass wir keine von ihnen nutzten. Wird die Arbeit in einem Pinch (da es nur 2 Hotels in Southport gibt, nicht viele Optionen zu wählen; würde sicherlich Neuwagen über diese oder wählen Sie etwas in Boothbay).

Hat alles gepasst. Liegt nicht schön aber praktisch: nahe Schnellstraße und viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nebenan. Zimmer war gut, Frühstück nichts besonderes. Bad relativ klein, Waschbecken im Schlafzimmer

This one has seen better days. A lot of maintenance issues that had gone unreported for a long time. Shower/bathtub would not drain at all. Washbasin was very slow. AC filter was in need of a good cleaning. A side door is supposed to be locked from the inside but stayed open and unsecured all night. This was just as expensive as a really well maintained Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Freeport. Your dog is welcome but it will cost you a 15$ fee. The breakfast was good and had options for a take out box. Location seemed very odd, and seems far from Bangor proper.
