Für zusätzliche 400.000 Rupiah erhielt ich ein Upgrade auf ein Zimmer im neuen Gebäude. Das Essen war köstlich. Leider rochen die Kissen auf dem Bett und dem Sofa sehr unangenehm. Vermutlich wurden sie nicht oft gereinigt oder ausgetauscht, sodass der Geruch hartnäckig war. Es gab eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer.

Wir suchten irgendwo zu bleiben in Bontang für ein paar Nächte. Hier schien es der einzige Ort, der für die gewünschten Termine verfügbar zu sein schien. Letzte Zeit, dass wir in Bontang waren, war vor 21 Jahren. Das Hotel ist sehr ein Sportort/Unterkunftsort Typ-Platz. Bontang ist daher nicht wirklich eine touristische Lage, die begrenzten Wahlen zum Aufenthalt. Wir waren hier aus einem bestimmten Grund, so brauchten wir nur einen Schlafplatz, während wir hier waren. Die beste Art, das Hotel/Zimmer zu beschreiben ist 'typisch indonesisch'. Alles funktionierte, aber hatte bessere Tage gesehen, sagen wir. Hatte keine Sorgen um die Reinigkeit oder Sicherheit und die Lage ist wirklich schön. Es ist ein bisschen aus dem Weg, so dass Sie brauchen Ihr eigener Transport oder bereit sein, die Gebühr für Taxis zu zahlen etc. Frühstück ist Ihr üblicher indonesischer Preis und es gab viele Variante. Ich würde nicht zögern, wieder zu bleiben. Nur einen Punkt zu klären, wenn ich die Buchung gemacht, Es wurde gesagt, dass es keine Front Rezeption so telefon voraus zu bestimmen, wie man im Voraus Check-in. In der Praxis gibt es eine Front Rezeption, wie man in jedem Hotel erwarten würde, so dass es keine Notwendigkeit, sich Sorgen zu machen, was man bei der Eincheckung tun. Wenn Sie ankommen und es niemand auf dem Desktop war, würde jemand bald auftreten, sobald Ihre Anwesenheit bekannt war. Alle Mitarbeiter, die wir getroffen haben, waren so freundlich und hilfreich. Nichts war zu viel Problem. Wir hätten gerne länger bleiben können, wenn wir die Zeit hatten.

Hotel was tired and staff are inexperienced in the hospitality industry. Room: stayed on 8th floor. Pillows had strong sweat smell and looked like they havent been changed in a while. Room decor was pretty basic with basic laminate flooring. In the bathroom there was complimentary shower gel and shampoo but when the bottles were pressed, it was very watery and seemed like the staff had simply topped it up with regular water. Room internet was also extremely poor and I gave up after half an hour of trying. Breakfast was a big spread but not of high quality. The bubur was lumpy. Fried chicken was tasteless (possibly indicating being frozen for some time) and the chefs cooking the indomie simply threw the noodle cake into a half filled water bath and did not stir or monitor the cooking resulting in half cooked indomie. Breakfast section also smelled like a massive cigarette factory as there were smoking sections. Upside: Great location as part of a mall development. There is a comfortable lounge in the lobby conducive to meetings and afternoon catchups. Staff at the lobby lounge were very pleasant and efficient and went out of their way to clear our cups quickly and take new orders. Always smiling. This hotel is a very stark contrast to the mercure semarang where we spent the previous night.

Compared to other hotels in Balikpapan, Ibis is very affordable. Nevertheless, this hotel offers good amenities, such as a nice, clean room with a comfortable bed. However, the shower cabin is too small. You can barely move around in it. I also miss a refrigerator. The Indonesian breakfast is excellent. Many Westerners stay in this hotel, but strangely enough, the breakfast is geared exclusively towards Indonesians. For Westerners, there's only cheap white bread with sweeteners like jam and chocolate spread. I miss good-quality wheat bread, rolls, cheese, and sliced meat. Strangely enough, the hotel isn't geared towards Western tourists at all. FO doesn't know where to rent motor cycles and they don't have any information about tourist attractions. They foist overpriced excursions with a guide and car on every tourist. Dear Ibis personnel, please understand that many Western tourists want to rent motor cycles and find their way to excursions via Google Maps. In short, Ibis management, do some research on Western tourists, provide brochures with excursions to FO, and make sure FO has information about motor cycles and car rentals. In summary, Ibis is a fine hotel for a reasonable price, but unfortunately not sufficiently focused on Western tourists.

Grand Tjokro Balikpapan is a comfortable and modern hotel, suitable for both business travelers and families. The location is quite strategic, offering easy access to the airport, city center, and various dining and business areas in Balikpapan. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and designed in a modern style. The bed is comfortable, the lighting is good, and standard amenities such as air conditioning, TV, and a tidy bathroom make the stay pleasant and relaxing. The hotel offers good facilities, including a swimming pool, restaurant, and meeting rooms, which are ideal for business events or casual stays. Breakfast provides a decent variety of dishes with good taste and neat presentation. One of the highlights of this hotel is the staff service. The team is friendly, responsive, and helpful from check-in to check-out. Overall, Grand Tjokro Balikpapan delivers good value for money and is a reliable choice when staying in Balikpapan.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer es war ziemlich sauber (Könnte vielleicht sauberer sein), aber das Zimmer Durchschnitt war gut. Wir hatten ein Spaß am Wochenende im Aqualand nur ein wenig enttäuscht, dass während Wochentage die Schleifen während des Tages nicht funktioniert. Das Frühstück war gut mit einer ganzen Wahl. Im Allgemeinen kann ich sicher wieder zu einem Ort gehen.

A big modern hotel in Samarinda. The location is a bit far from the city centre (20 mins driving while the traffic low and 30-35 mins in the rush hour). Although it’s located just above the Big Mall, the hotel has poor accessibility, especially for pedestrians and online food couriers because they have to go through the car ramp to get into the hotel’s front door! The room is modern, clean, and have great amenities. But, the noise from outside the room could be heard easily since it has poor soundproofing. When i checked in, it took more than one hour since i have to lined up into the queue and the process itself took a long time. It was the longest time i spend for check in! The queue is only five person in front of me and they opened all the check in counters.

The check-in process was smooth and quick, with professional and friendly staff at the front desk. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities — including a minibar, air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of Indonesian options, and the taste was good overall. I’d gladly stay here again on my next trip to Balikpapan.

pertama dapat kamar ada kecoa, bau dan super lembab😢 padahal dah 2x nginap disini dpt unit yg aman tapi minta ganti resepsionis dan untungnya bisa diganti terus kamar yg sudah di ganti bermasalah di ac kamarnya yang ga dingin sama sekali😢😔 tapi untungnya lokasi apartemen strategis jadi mudah kalau mau kemana mana

This is my second time staying here, and once again, I had a pleasant experience. The room and bathroom were clean, and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast offered a good variety of food, though I hope to see improvements in flavor in the future. Additionally, I noticed that some of the beds are a bit worn and no longer as firm as they should be—hopefully, this can be addressed. Overall, it's still a great place to stay
