Das Apartment ist relativ neu und liegt am Rande des Geschäftszentrums von Canberra. Restaurants befinden sich im Erdgeschoss, und Einkaufszentren und Supermärkte sind in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, die Ausstattung jedoch eher einfach; Klimaanlage und Heizung, insbesondere im Wohnzimmer, sind praktisch nicht vorhanden. Am frustrierendsten ist der Service. Der Zimmerservice ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden, es gibt zu wenige Mitarbeiter, und die Zimmervergabe ist für chinesische Gäste ungünstig. Ich hatte bei der Buchung ausdrücklich angegeben, dass ich kein Zimmer in den unteren Stockwerken möchte, bekam aber trotzdem bei meiner Ankunft ein Zimmer im zweiten Stock. Als ich um ein Zimmer in einem höheren Stockwerk bat, tat der freundliche Rezeptionist so, als würde er im Computer nachsehen, und sagte mir dann, das Zimmer sei bereits gebucht und könne nicht geändert werden. Ich habe dann auf Ctrip nachgesehen und gesehen, dass der gleiche Zimmertyp noch verfügbar war! Unglaublich! Ich hatte zuvor Bewertungen von chinesischen Freunden gelesen, die diese unfreundliche Zimmervergabe für chinesische Gäste erwähnten, und dachte, es sei ein Einzelfall, aber anscheinend stimmt es. Für alle, die einen Aufenthalt hier in Erwägung ziehen, möchte ich folgende Warnung aussprechen: Diese Wohnung ist in Canberra nicht gerade billig, und die Diskriminierung chinesischer Gäste ist widerlich!

I recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

Stayed at Crowne Plaza Canberra and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is very clean, including the room and common areas, which we appreciated. However, the hotel does feel a bit dated, particularly the bathroom — the shower and bathtub would benefit from an upgrade. The reception staff were friendly, polite, and professional, with smooth and efficient check-in and check-out. Breakfast was acceptable but had limited variety (see video). The location is a plus, right in the city and next to Holey Moley and the entertainment arcade, making it convenient for families with kids. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel, though showing its age in some areas.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean room, comfortable bed, wifi, aircon and as a bonus they have a buffet breakfast. Great location with on-site parking included and the German pub right next door for dinner within walking distance

My wife and I spent 3 days at the Ramada-Diplomat while celebrating our 42yr anniversary We could not fault anything about the whole experience. The information desk staff were friendly and pleasant and all our requests ( meals, extra pillows,etc) were promptly actioned.

Wir reservierten ein Zimmer für drei Personen, aber zunächst fanden wir, dass das Zimmer nur zwei Sätze von Einrichtungen hatte, darunter Flaschen Wasser, Schläuche und Teebecher. Nachdem wir das Frontdesk angerufen hatten, wurde das Problem schrittweise gelöst. Es gab Spider-Webs außerhalb der Fenster, die uns davon abhalten, sie zu öffnen. Die Toilette machte gelegentlich ungewöhnliche Lärme, möglicherweise, wenn die Gäste in den benachbarten Zimmern flossen. Mein Vater ging schwimmen, aber der Schrank würde nicht öffnen, wenn er versuchte, seine sauberen Kleidung zu bekommen. Wir riefen den Front Desk für Hilfe. Ein Mitarbeiter kam endlich, aber die Interaktion fühlte sich ziemlich kalt und fehlte irgendeinen Sinn für Entschuldigung, trotz der Unannehmlichkeiten, die mein Vater erlebt hatte.

Very clean, chic hotel with a popular restaurant and bar. It is conveniently located on Northbourne Avenue , Elouera St and Mort Street which is directly the line of Canberra's night clubs if you are coming on a weekend. There's only two sets of lifts for Hotel Clients which isn't a problem for an Asian ( moi) who is used to very crowded areas. But this can be a bit inconvenient for locals who are used to express service. Pool, gym, sauna. Major plus points. And the best part of all is the free bar fridge in the room. (Not sure if it was a promotion but my friend and I could drink all of what was offered for free!) We didnt because we are massive alcohol fans. The only major downside is the 25 dollar parking fee. No, no no. You can raise the price a bit higher for the quality of rooms but it's a bit offputting to have that as an additional fee. Overall, a pretty great experience from service to aminities.

Hotel is in a very good city location with access to light rail, coaches, restaurants and shopping mall within walking distance. Free breakie for kids too which was good and breakfast offer itself was acceptable. Apart from that you'd have to turn a blind eye to the state of the room itself (need to lower your expectations by a lot) , run down bathrooms ( needs major renovation), dusty bedsides and snack bar table, very crowded pool and lack of hotel car spaces.

The room was spacious and bed big and comfortable. The view was right to the pool area. The pool was heated nice and warm, big gym with great selection of equipment . The breakfast was good, but the coffee included was nothing special no barista coffee.
