The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel! We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination! On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient. I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed. The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey. There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times. The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes. A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather! The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains! He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out. The Jiuhua Mountains Julong Hotel, which is conveniently located right at the entrance of the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. It was very convenient to venture around the mountain by foot. As for food, we didn’t quite get accustomed to the flavors, especially with the spices. The breakfast at Julong Hotel was good, but it can get crowded before 8 am. There is no gym in the hotel. It snowed on the 3rd day and it was chilly. The room was equiped with heater so it was ok. The walkway outside the hotel room can be very noisy, especially with kids running and adults talking. Otherwise, the overall experience was good.

A truly exceptional stay on Jiuhuashan I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands. I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of. During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service. But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing. This was not a tourist activity. It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries. My conclusion: This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. Wir hatten zwei Zweibettzimmer gebucht und blieben zwei Nächte. Zunächst: 1. Preis: Da wir außerhalb der Hauptsaison reisten, lag der Preis bei knapp über 200 Yuan pro Nacht, was im Vergleich zu den vielen Hotels und B&Bs in der Umgebung nicht teuer ist. Ich hatte nicht erwartet, dass der Preis sehr hoch sein würde, aber die tatsächliche Erfahrung war unerwartet. Standort 2: Es liegt nicht im belebtesten Viertel der Stadt Tangkou, aber da die Stadt nicht groß ist, ist es eigentlich recht praktisch. Zum Abendessen ging ich in eines der berühmtesten Restaurants der Gegend, Laojiefang Hui Cuisine, und machte nach dem Abendessen einen Spaziergang, um meine Verdauung anzuregen. Zimmer 3: Das Zimmer ist wie auf dem Bild dargestellt. Es ist recht geräumig und, was am wichtigsten ist, sehr sauber. Es ist außerdem mit einer intelligenten Toilette ausgestattet. Auf ihre Empfehlung hin haben wir unsere ursprüngliche Route angepasst, sind vom Nordtor aus nach oben und vom Südtor aus nach unten gegangen und haben uns auf den Besuch des West Sea Grand Canyon konzentriert. Die Landschaft war wirklich schön und relativ entspannend. Allerdings war der Zug eine kleine Abzocke. Es kostete 100 Yuan pro Person und die Fahrt dauerte nur drei Minuten ... Das Frühstück ist relativ einfach und kann nicht mit herkömmlichen Resort- oder Sternehotels verglichen werden. Es ist genug, um Ihren Magen zu füllen, aber das Süßkartoffeln sind gut. Abschließend möchte ich sagen, dass ich mich bei diesem Preis und dieser Art von Zimmer, Umgebung und Service beim nächsten Mal wahrscheinlich wieder für dieses Hotel entscheiden werde.
