I stayed for 3 nights. My main reasons for choosing this hostel were 1. it has a kitchen: as I’m going a lot of travelling I cannot afford to eat out for every meal so made breakfast, prepared lunches and dinner. The kitchen was clean,modern, fully equipped. There was free coffee (beans and coffee maker) , tea, sugar. 2. location: needed to be convenient to the bus station (15min walk) and the historic centre (5-10mins walk). The hostel was easy to locate. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around and shops are near by (including Tescos). Right next to tram station, though I never needed to use it. There are also some very interesting second hand / vintage clothes shops in the street. Check-in was easy (24 hour reception). I was offered the opportunity to pay the 10 euro deposit by card or cash. I paid using a 20 euro note, got change ok and the money was left in my key slot thus easily returned on check out. The reception staff smiled and greeted me when walking in and out, perhaps because I did to them. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed form with en-suite. You choose your bed on a first come basis , though have a key for a specific locker that was large enough to fit my carry on luggage. The room felt spacious and even had table and chairs. Room and en-suite were clean. The beds each have a power socket and small shelf fixed to the wall though no individual light. You pick up bed linen at reception, make your own bed and put bedding in laundry basket when checking out. The pillow was lumpy and could do with being replaced. Sleep quality was good except one night with a very loud snorer (reception gives earplugs for free). It is winter and the room was nice and warm. The room has 2 ceiling lights. An area of improvement would be to be able to switch each light on/off separately. The wall of lockers separates the bed area from the entrance and en-suite door and it would be useful to be able to only turn on the light there. The en-suite was clean and warm (it is November). The shower water was not hot enough for my personal taste but it was not cold. There is an additional toilet and shower room in the corridor for additional use. The corridor also had a fridge. The laundry room is free: has washers and driers but need to buy detergent. It was my plan to stay in and do all my laundry on my day of arrival and I was grateful that I decided to do that rather than do laundry at the previous place. It saved me 9 euros. WiFi is free and reliable. When staying in a shared space the experience is greatly influenced by the other people who happen to be there at the same time. Everyone I met was friendly. The people sharing my room were always respectful of each other. Lights out in the room tended to be by 10pm and when coming in later than that it was possible to turn on the en-suite light and open the door to provide some light to get ready for bed without disturbing others. It was quiet in the room and the only ‘noise’ came from some late night loud voices in the corridor from others but it only lasted a few mins. The soundproofing is not sufficient to block noises from other areas, follow the advice on signs and report to reception if necessary. It is nice that the hostel seems to not tolerate noisy people disturbing others. I was traveling as single female. In the 3 nights the dorm room was never fully occupied, had 8 men come and go staying for a day or two, and I never felt uncomfortable in the hostel or neighborhood. This place is good value for money, comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again.

Mein Partner und ich sind nach einer Reise nach Europa nach Großbritannien zurückgekehrt, war das letzte Ziel unserer Reisen im sehr schönen und malerischen Hotel. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen am Fluss und Minuten von der Altstadt entfernt. Das Innenraum ist schön und die Dekoration zeigt deutlich, warum es ein hochwertiges Hotel ist. Unser Zimmer befindet sich im zweiten Stock und es gibt einen Aufzug für diejenigen, die in der Küche übergeben oder berühmte slowakische Weine 😁 das Personal ist in ihrem Aussehen und polit dargestellt, Das Frühstück ist verschieden und es ist Selbstservice sogar die heißen/kühlen Getränke, so bitte nur, dass im Restaurant zum Frühstücksfremden, wenn Sie ’Mobilität eingeschränkt sind, nicht zu vergessen. Das einzige negative, das ich mir erinnern kann, und das ist keine Reflexion auf das Hotel, die Gastfreundschaft oder das Personal, da es „andere Gäste“ war, ohne die Gäste noch im Schlaf oder zumindest versucht zu sein. Die Gäste würden ihre Zimmertüren zu schlamm schließen und die Gäste würden den Korridor ganz am Abend/nacht/morgen laut sprechen. Also nächstes Mal würde ich wahrscheinlich ein Zimmer auf dem oberen Stock beantragen, um die unüberlegten Gäste zu vermeiden 👍

Die Lage ist ok, die Altstadt und die Burg sind leicht zu erreichen, und man kann auch den Hügel hinaufsteigen, um den Panoramablick auf die Stadt zu genießen. Tesco Express ist nicht weit entfernt. Das Zimmer hat beeindruckende 4 Meter hohe Decken und eine riesige Badewanne. Alles wäre gut gewesen, wenn nicht die hauchdünnen Wände oder die schlechte Schallisolierung zu den anderen Zimmern gewesen wären. Ich konnte meine Nachbarn sehr deutlich hören, und sie redeten nicht einmal laut. Zum Glück gingen meine Nachbarn gegen 23 Uhr schlafen.

The staff at the hotel have very limited English ,Additionally, the rooms are mixed-gender dormitories, which was not specified in the online booking, I couldn’t get proper rest all night because I could hear drunk guests snoring loudly. The hotel uses a self-check-in system, and after booking online, I still had to pay 3 Euros to receive the room key card!

Overview: nice and super big rooms! Location: centrally located, 10-15 mins walking distance to most attractions like Bratislava Castle, Old Town Hall, Michael’s Gate etc, tram stations just within 2 mins away! Breakfast: good choice, particularly impressed when they extended the ending time by 10 mins on a Sunday as there were a lot of new guests the night before who might not have been aware of the ending time! Service: nice and friendly staff! Cleanliness: spotless from what I can see which is nice! Rooms: I thought I was staying in a flat for a second, super big and roomy, with sofa, a separate living area, impressive! Facilities: good gym, but the sauna costs a bit which is unexpected (and rare, consider it is a decent 4*…) so didn’t use it, and the lobby was a bit dim when I checked in at night, but not a major issue.

Sehr gute Lage, wenn man per Zug anreist. Wirklich freundliche und hilfreiche Angestellte. Man kann das Hotel guten Herzens weiterempfehlen.

Ich bin mit einem späten Flug am Flughafen Bratislava angekommen, aber die Haltestelle des Nachtbusses (N61) lag direkt neben dem Hotel, was sehr praktisch war. Das Hotel selbst war sauber, komfortabel und sicher. Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen, auch bei später Ankunft. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet mit einer großen Auswahl, und der Sekt am Morgen war eine nette Geste. Mein persönlicher Favorit war der Krapfen; ich habe ihn schon in vielen Ländern und in vielen verschiedenen Läden probiert, aber dieser hier ist der beste. Ich werde dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder wählen, wenn ich wieder in Bratislava bin.

Fabulous hotel, perfectly situated for the airport, rooms and bathroom are big, clean and have everything you need. Staff are helpful and polite. Breakfast was amazing.

I stayed After many yeas, is till rVery nice hotel. Great location, nice staff. Breakfast is nice with outstanding service. Only minus is price of parking, I think hotel guest should be able stay for free, we booked 3rooms,but parking still need be paid. I think is because of ****** in hotel. Regular price 39eur day, weekend was 25euro,that is little high, same price as if you park in city

War nicht schlecht, aber 25€ pro Tag für einen 3kg Hund zu verlangen ist unverschämt. Habe in Hochwertigere Hotels bis jetzt nur 10- 15€ bezahlt pro Tag. Vielleicht sollte sich der Hotel Manager was überlegen für die Zukunft.
