This motel is located a very short drive from great restaurants and large grocery stores. The grounds and pool are immaculate, very friendly staff everywhere. Rooms are spotless and our deck was large with a table and 2 chairs. Lower floors have covered patios. Very nice! We would stay here again.

Bleib fo 1 nite. Im Allgemeinen genossen wir nicht viel von dem Hotel, als wir am späten Morgen überprüfen und verließen. Die einzige Erfahrung war ein Erdbeben, das uns bei 8.06am wachbrachte. Es war ein sehr windiger Tag und Regen und ein Sturm war in Brühen für uns.. aber wir areaxh sicher trotz Straßenschließung und Landschleifen und Blitzüberschwemmungen Gott sei Dank

I always stay here in Hamilton. It's such good value. It's a classic hotel, it means it's a bit old...but it has enormous comfortable rooms and it's right in the city.

I arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

I had a great stay at this hostel, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The common areas were clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. I ended up making some new friends here, and we realized we were planning to visit many of the same places, so we explored together. That really made my trip even more memorable. The hostel itself was very clean and well-maintained, and I was impressed with the overall experience. The only issue I encountered was with late check-in. My bus arrived much later than expected, so I wasn't able to arrange an after-hours check-in in advance. I understand that the instructions were provided by email, but I did have a moment of panic because I was asked to call the hostel's phone number. Since I was traveling with only an eSIM and didn't have a New Zealand phone number, I wasn't able to make the call. It would be great if there were an alternative way to contact the hostel for late check-ins, such as WhatsApp, email, or an online messaging system. Overall, this hostel went beyond my expectations, and I'd definitely recommend it to other travelers.

We stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch.All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel. The service was second to none. Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay. We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people. We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel

Das Hotel ist recht groß und der Service dem Preis angemessen. Der Pool Bereich hat uns gut gefallen. Sauna und Fitnessbereich sind aber absolut unzureichend. Insbesondere die Sauna ist sehr heruntergekommen und renovierungsbefürftig, fast schon eklig. Hier haben wir uns sehr unwohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war zwar schön groß aber leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen, abgewohnt und steril eingerichtet. Im Erdgeschoss war es außerdem sehr dunkel durch den darüberliegenden Balkon und die Vorhänge müssen geschlossen bleiben, da direkt davor der Fußweg verläuft. Also leider kaum Tageslicht. Das haben wir als sehr unattraktiv empfunden. Das Restaurant lässt uns zwiegespalten zurück. Die Qualität des Essens war herausragend, der Service war okay, leider war der Geräuschpegel, insbesondere beim Abendessen, unerträglich. Das Hotel wird offensichtlich überwiegend von Gruppen (meist Golfern) genutzt, die alle entsprechend in großen Runden zusammensizten. Das Hotelrestarant ist darauf eingerichtet und bietet entsprechend viele große Tische. Diese vielen großen Gruppen sorgen leider für die erwähnte unerträgliche Lautstärke beim Essen. Das war sehr unentspannt. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise, würde ich das Hotel wieder in Erwägung ziehen, aber erste Wahl wäre es nicht. Für längere Aufenthalte definitiv nicht geeignet.

Our stay was fast but very good. The staff was kind and considerate. Breakfast was simple and delicious and room was big.

The accommodation was modern, immaculately clean, and provided a high level of comfort. The cleaning staff excelled, delivering service that surpassed expectations. Overall, the experience was positive. However, it would have been beneficial to be informed in advance that the check-in office is located offsite, requiring approximately a 4 minute drive from the main premises. This information would have streamlined the arrival process.

Wir blieben eine Nacht auf dem Weg nach Hobbiton und genossen es so sehr, dass wir 2 weitere später auf unserer Reise blieben. Große Lage, und Cambridge ist eine relativ einfache Basis, um an andere Orte zu kommen. Schöne Dekoration überall, schöne Fertigstellungen und wirklich friedlich. Es war sehr besetzt während unseres Aufenthalts (um Weihnachten/NY) so ein wenig auf Essen/Trinken warten, aber das ist zu erwarten. Wir hatten positive Interaktionen mit allen Hotel- und Restaurantpersonal. Meine einzige Rückmeldung ist, dass die Schalter in den Zimmern blaue Lichter auf sie haben, die für Leute, die wie ein schwarzes Zimmer, Schlaf stören können. Hoffentlich eine einfache Korrektur!
