The hotel is located on a mountain with beautiful scenery. However, the facilities are spread out across different areas of the mountain. In particular, the restaurants are mostly located downhill, and guests need to walk long distances using stairs or escalators. This layout is not very suitable for elderly guests or families with young children. The male staff member who handled our check-in was clearly unprofessional. He was unable to answer basic questions or properly introduce the hotel facilities. Our booking included both breakfast and dinner, but when we asked which restaurant we should go to for meals, he simply told us to make a reservation online. When we explained that we were unable to do so and asked for his assistance, it turned out that he did not know how to use the system himself. He also did not seek help from his colleagues, resulting in a long delay. Eventually, he told us that only one restaurant accepted walk-in guests. After making our way down to that restaurant, the staff there informed us that dinner was not included at that location. Fortunately, the restaurant staff helped us by making a phone call and discovered that the hotel had already arranged our dinner reservation at a specific restaurant in advance. This made us question whether the check-in staff had provided incorrect or careless information. The breakfast arrangements were also very disappointing. The breakfast menu listed around ten options, but almost all of the Japanese-style breakfast slots were already fully booked. We had checked in at around 5:00 p.m., which made this situation even more unreasonable. Afterward, we noticed similar complaints in other reviews regarding the hotel’s poor dining arrangements. The bathing area was visually appealing, but the amenities were very limited. There was no water dispenser, facial cleansing products, or skincare items provided—only a hair dryer. In summary, the hotel’s hardware and design are quite good and tasteful, but the service quality and overall management are extremely poor.

Es gibt einen Shuttlebus am Ausgang 1 des Bahnhofs Toba. Der Weg zum Hotel dauert etwa 13 bis 15 Minuten, ohne einen Bus zu nehmen. Our stay at Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and impeccable hospitality that made us feel truly special. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of Toba Bay. Waking up to the peaceful ocean scenery each morning was incredibly relaxing. The onsen was equally impressive—immaculately maintained, soothing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Every dish showcased the freshness of the local seafood and seasonal ingredients, with each course thoughtfully presented. Dining here wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from the seamless check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our visit. You can genuinely feel the pride they take in providing outstanding hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic luxury ryokan experience with amazing food, stunning views, and unforgettable service, Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato is absolutely worth the visit. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning someday.

Ich habe am Vortag kurzfristig reserviert, weil noch ein Zimmer frei war. Ich war etwas nervös, aber das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel. Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, dass es unbegrenzt Kaffee gab. Die heiße Quelle war besser als erwartet, und Shampoo und Lotion waren von Mikimoto, was super war. Der Saft nach dem Bad war köstlich. Es gab verschiedene Veranstaltungen, unter anderem Marshmallow-Grillen, und ich denke, es wäre schön, dort etwas Zeit zum Entspannen zu verbringen. Ich möchte unbedingt die Kopfmassage und die Gesichtsbehandlung ausprobieren. Nächstes Mal möchte ich meine Enkel und Kinder mitbringen. Der Sonnenaufgang von der nahegelegenen Aussichtsplattform am Morgen war auch wunderschön.

Die Geräte sind relativ rückständig, die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und die Lage ist auch gut. Es ist sehr bequem, neben dem Parkplatz zu zahlen, und es kann auch in wenigen Minuten an der Station ankommen. Im Nachtflug, wohnt er nur eine Nacht. Es gibt keine besonderen Wolken in der Nähe.

During my recent stay at Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu, I had a mixed experience, resulting in an overall rating of 3 out of 5. While the hotel was generally acceptable, there were some notable drawbacks. One major issue I encountered was the cleanliness of the rooms. I was disappointed to find a significant number of insects on the walls, which was quite unpleasant and off-putting. As a result, I had to deduct points and give it a rating of 3 out of 5 for cleanliness. Additionally, compared to my previous stay at another Hotel R9 location, the price at Yard Tsu was slightly higher. However, it was still within an acceptable range considering the overall quality of the hotel. Despite the drawbacks, I must mention that the hotel's staff were courteous and attentive, providing decent service throughout my stay. In conclusion, while Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu has some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, its reasonable price and satisfactory service make it an acceptable choice for a short stay. However, I would recommend management to address the cleanliness issue to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.

Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta. Tunsimme itsemme todella tervetulleiksi, vaikka olimme läpi märkiä pyöräiltyämme 40 km vesisateessa. Hyvin pohjoismaalaisen oloinen sisustus. Valtavan siistiä ja kaikki näyttää uudelta. Omaa ravintolaa ei ole, mutta pikkupurtavaa on tarjolla ja ilmeisesti myös joku aamiaisboksi. Käytiin kuitenkin läheisessä ostoskeskuksessa hakemassa aamupalaa ja siellä olikin tarjolla jokaisen makuun ja halvalla. Ikävä tulee japanin kauppoja, kun tänään lähdemme takaisin Suomeen. Lähellä on myös Izakaja-ravintola, jossa kävimme illalla syömässä. Ruoka oli todella hyvää, palvelu ystävällistä ja myös englanninkielinen menu pienem etsinnän jälkeen löytyi.

Долго выбирала отель в Тобе - остановилась на Izumigo Hotel Altia Toba и не разочаровалась. Есть трансфер от/до станции Тоба. Снаружи здание очень красивое и необычное, внутри всё тоже весьма достойно. Номер нам достался слегка ”уставший”, но это с лихвой компенсировалось очень вкусными завтраками/ужинами (завтраки были европейские, ужины - кайсеки, в обоих случаях кормили ”на убой”), а также совершенно фантастическим видом с балкона.)) Онсен довольно просторный и приятный, есть сауна. В ротенбуро на улице не была, но такой вариант есть. Классно провели тут три дня!

The hotel is easily reachable by car, but if you are using the train, it’s 30/40min by walk or you should jump on a bus. Nearby there are konbinis and a supermarket, which is super useful if you want to eat at the hotel and take advantage of the microwave (there are not a lot of restaurants nearby). The hotel is clean and comfortable—if you want, you can also book a private bath room for free, which is great. On top of the usual amenities, you can also find different options for shampoo and conditioner (ex. one for damaged hair, etc..)

The hotel is very nice and the room is very clean. The staff was friendly but didn't speak English. However, they have a small translation machine, so communication was manageable. The location is great, with many restaurants nearby and a convenience store just a few meters away. I will definitely stay there again.
