DoubleTree by Hilton is in a great location, with many of the city’s famous attractions just a short distance away. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. The staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The breakfast offers a good variety and is delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and a very pleasant experience. I would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Friendly , helpful & efficient Front office staffs. Offered complimentary late check out until 2pm. Thankful for their kind service. Room is clean, modern and with adequate services and amenities. Bathroom is spacious and nice shower room. Bed is comfortable, free WiFi and inclusive buffet Breakfast.The buffer Breakfast spread is very good , serving hot English breakfast and continental breakfast. Within 20 minutes peaceful walk to the town centre. Very convenient. We are truly happy & satisfied with our stay in the Holiday Inn express Bath , highly recommended!

Die Werbebilder sehen erstaunlich aus, aber das eigentliche Zimmer ist ganz anders. Die Einrichtungen sind veraltet, und mein Mann hat die Dusche nicht gefallen, als ob er gezwungen worden sein Haar auch wenn er nicht wollte. Die Drinage im Dusch war extrem langsam, hinterlässt Wasser Pool um unsere Füße. Die Ventilation im Badezimmer war schlecht, was es unbehaglich machte. Zusätzlich waren die Nachtwechselpersonal ziemlich brutal. Das heißt, Bad ist eine schöne Stadt, und wir werden sicherlich zurückzukehren, nicht nur in dieses Hotel.

Es liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, und ohne Auto muss man bergauf laufen. Anfang März fanden im Hotel Renovierungsarbeiten statt, weshalb wir vom Lärm geweckt wurden. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt aber großartig, sehr sauber und die Angestellten waren sehr hilfsbereit. Bibliothek und Lounge waren gemütlich und einladend.

The hotel is an incredible building which must take some maintenance. We booked a double room for one night and arrived at lunchtime with the intention of sightseeing in bath for a couple of days. The hotel was happy for us to park all day both days which was great. The check in process (after 3pm) was very easy and we had a very clean room with plenty of towels, 2 robes and slippers for the spa/pool. The double room had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The hotel pool was crowded and looking a little tired but was as expected. The outside heated pool was very nice and relaxing. We didn’t have any spa treatments or use the gym but both looked well kept and the gym had good modern equipment. We didn’t eat in the restaurant preferring to find a restaurant in bath itself. Breakfast was a bit of a chaotic affair with several hotel staff doing various jobs with no apparent coordination. The wait for a table, then coffee was long and then we had to wait again to order breakfast. The whole process of breakfast took well over an hour which is poor. It was clear that there was no clear process as some tables were getting their cooked breakfast before us even though we were taken to our table 30 mins before them. The little waiter man with his paper pad was a bit useless. When the ‘full English’ breakfast came it was a small plate of well cooked food but not really as described in the menu. In terms of portion size it was more like a kids breakfast. We weren’t served any toast either and had to ask for it unlike other tables who received it with their drinks order which seemed a bit weird. The continental buffet was a bit scarce with no bowls or spoons so we had to use our fruit juice glasses for the yogurt and fruit. The whole thing could be improved with a breakfast buffet under a hot plate if they haven’t got enough staff to serve it.

Und sie stellen ein Waffeleisen zur Verfügung!

The Hotel itself is very dated in decor, but I actually enjoyed this and it felt quite nostalgic to me. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful and you're not overly fussy then this place will do you just fine. After all I wasn't here to spend all day in the room, but to go out and explore. There was coffee and tea, fresh towels, and I was left alone for the 2 nights I stayed which I appreciate. Some people enjoy the maid service, but personally I prefer not being bothered. From all the other reviews it mentioned a fee upon arrival as an insurance for damages, but I got asked for no extra fees, so I'm guessing this is based on the larger more valuable family type rooms maybe. If you are a solo traveler like myself then the location is brilliant, as it's right next to the main beach strip, a cool little local beach front cafe which is reasonably priced, and if you have the legs for it like me, a massive nature trek to explore full of beautiful forestry and greenery. The main shopping town and Italian gardens are only a short 15 minute walk away. If you are on a budget there's a wetherspoons just 5 minutes away which is very decent and has great sea views, staff were all lovely. Staff at the hotel were also very friendly if you approached or talked to them. Only negative I'd say is that you can't book in till 3pm, but there is plenty to keep you busy nearby whilst you wait. If you are fussy and expect the Ritz, this place ain't for you, but if you are there with a fair level head and you just want cheap lodgings, then it'll do you fine for a night or two. I'd definitely stay again for the cheap price of just over 30 quid a night. Thanks and I'll be back down the line 😎

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Komfortable Aufenthalt und große Lage Ich blieb im Holiday Inn Taunton und hatte eine sehr bequeme Erfahrung. Das Hotel ist einfach zu erreichen, nur von der M5, wodurch es eine bequeme Basis für die Erforschung von Somerset oder die Unterbrechung während einer längeren Reise. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, mit allem, was ich ein komfortables Bett, eine gute Dusche und ein Desk-Raum benötigt. Wi-Fi funktionierte gut, und ich schätze die Tee-/Kaffeestation. Obwohl die Dekoration in einigen Bereichen etwas datiert ist, war alles gut gepflegt. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und das Restaurant hatte auch eine schöne entspannte Atmosphäre am Abend.

Wir reservierten 2 Nächte für ein entspannendes Spa-Wochenende. Basierend auf der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein Spa-Hotel handelt. Wir planen, für das gesamte Wochenende im Hotel zu bleiben.  Als wir ankamen, wurde uns gesagt, es gab kein Restaurant oder Bar, das wir nur für Veranstaltungen verwenden können.  Wir hatten dann ein Mittagessen im Spa-Café. Das Essen war ok. Der Service war schrecklich.  Wir gingen dann ins Zimmer, als wir inchecken konnten. Der Reiniger war noch da. Sehr entschuldigend sehr freundlich und wunderschön. Das Zimmer war absolut wunderschön. Großes Schlafzimmer Badezimmer und Wohnzimmer.  Wir gingen raus und fanden ein Pub fürs Essen. Als wir zurückkehrten, um in dem Zimmer zu entspannen, fanden wir die Party direkt unter uns und in voller Schwung. Sehr laut und laut und das Rauchen war direkt außerhalb unseres Fensters. Wir riefen Rezeption, aber sie wurden vollständig reserviert. Ich freue mich, es alles um Mitternacht zu sagen.  Wir gingen zum Frühstück bei 9.30. Nicht viel übrig und das gesamte Frühstück war kalt. Als wir es fragten, wir wurden gerade gesagt“gut es ist seit 7” es hatte gerade auf der Seite in Silber-Taschen für 2.5 Stunden sitzen, keine Heizung oder Option zum Wiederheizen. Es war nicht essend.  Wir haben das Frühstück überschritten, das wir am zweiten Tag bezahlt haben.  Wir dachten, wir würden etwas Zeit im Spa verbringen. Ha! Nun ist der Pool klein, kein Ort, um nur ein paar Kunststoffstühle zu entspannen, keine Spa überhaupt. Es hatte eine sehr kleine Sauna und Dampfraum. Der Jacuzzi funktionierte nicht, es war nur ein Pool von wolkenfreiem Wasser mit wenigen Blasen.  Es scheint, als wäre es gewöhnt und könnte ein wunderbarer Ort zu sein, aber er wurde übernommen und verloren seine einzige. So schämlich wie das Gebäude und die Boden sind wunderbar.  Ich muss die Reinigungspersonal hinzufügen und die Lady auf der Rezeption waren wunderbar, willkommen und freundlich.

Amazing value for money; simple selections of food, compact no frills chalets: could do with a bit of attention to detail with deep cleaning; decent bedding and towels, fantastic and varied entertainment generally throughout the day and late into the evening; most acts are really good. Nice to be able to set up to work remotely in the ballroom during the day and take in the fun that holiday makers are having. The Blue Coats are an engaging team. Drink prices are OK for a setting like this. We are 53 and 58 and on the younger scale of most holiday makers but whatever age, this adult only holiday park delivers quality for money hands down. Bus travels from the road outside the site to Weston Super Mare hourly during the day; beach is just a walk away down the site entrance. Taxi's are affordable if a comfi trip into town is wanted. Can imagine how amazing this establishment will be in summer (and they don't seem to hike the prices to eye watering levels during the warmer months). The range of themed weekday stays (4 days Mon-Fri) and weekend (Fri-Mon) are varied. We need to be in the WSM area for a couple of months - staying at various hotels / establishments, but now we have found Sand Bay, we have chosen to book here for several weeks back to back. For that reason, we have brought our own bedding with us, to personalise our chalet and make it more homely for our extended stay. Reception team are generally welcoming and efficient and Jade the holiday booking team member is ever so helpful. Well done Sand Bay!
