An excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall. Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy. We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub. Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills. Thank you for hosting us and giving us good value for money in an excellent location to explore the Peak District National Park.

War für mich ein ideales Hotel, um an einer Hochzeitsfeier teilzunehmen: ich hatte ein Bügelbrett und -Eisen auf dem Zimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig. Da ist für jeden (europäischen) Geschmack etwas dabei! Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt gleich neben dem „Innenstadt-Ring“- also nicht direkt in der Altstadt, aber sehr nahe.

The room was spotless, well-appointed, and offered a perfect mix of comfort and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like complimentary water, toiletries, and fast Wi-Fi.

Excellent location, booked for a few days break, stayed in one the lodges which was cosy .Food was also excellent plenty of choice on menu, all staff were polite and made you feel welcome, if your not into golf, there’s plenty of footpaths to follow ideal for walkers. And if you like shopping Derby is not to far away.would recommend.

We booked a cosy double for two nights in February. The first room we were given on the ground floor was not clean, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned prior to our check in. The reception staff quickly changed our room which was much better. The general facilities were good, good bar service, pool / gym area was good. Only downside was the sauna wasn’t working.  We would recommend the hotel due to its excellent location, beautiful communal areas and grounds. Opting for a higher price room, overlooking the front of the property would be our choice if we stay again.

Awesome 1 night stay over, used the gym facilities in this occasion and were of an excellent standard all round. As always, cannot praise the staff enough and the beautiful room once again! 10 out of 10 ☺️

Das Hotel ist ein tolles Hotel. Jedes Mitarbeiter, den ich traf, war gut ausgebildet und wusste genau, wie man Gäste einbinden und sicherstellen, dass ihr Besuch genau so war, wie sie es wollten. Von dem Eintritt in das Hotel und der Atmung in den schönsten Duft, um gut konzipierte Zimmer - Plug und USB-Socken in den Bettrahmen gebaut! Ich wünschte, ich hätte es versuchen können - nächstes Mal! Ich sollte früher zum Hotel kommen und einen Tisch reserviert haben, aber ich wurde verspätet, so dass ich es brechen musste - das Menü sieht erstaunlich und sicherlich einen Besuch wert für das allein. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig mit den üblichen britischen Frühstücksartikeln, einer Reihe von kontinentalen Optionen (Frucht, Salami und ähnliche) und Tee und Filterkaffe, die von dem aufmerksamen Restaurantteam wiedergefüllt wurden. Ich wünschte, ich lebte näher, so dass ich einige der besonderen Veranstaltungen, die sie hier aufnehmen konnten. Bitte überprüfen Sie die Hotel-Website, um zu sehen, was ich meine.

Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.
