Avogaria 5 Rooms

We spent 2 nights pre-cruise at this lovely place in the Dorsoduro part of Venice. It was the perfect location as we enjoyed being out of the rat race of the San Marcos area. Returning to this quiet quarter of the city was a welcome relief after a day of getting lost in Venice. Located near charming "local" restaurants and piazza's a particular fond memory is walking to the local bakery early and watching the kids off to school with their umbrellas and listening to their chatter. This is the place to experience the Venice of the Venetians. Loved Dorsoduro and the Avogaria 5. Highly recommend!

The breakfast service at this elegantly furnished, small hotel was delightful! The owner and a staff member arrived at our door at our chosen time with hot coffee, freshly squeezed juice, assorted fruit, croissants, and warm rolls, plus select savory foods. The owner took great care in setting a beautiful table for us by our window and was happy to bring a second round of coffee mid-meal. (We also had a dietary request which they kindly accommodated.) We slept very well here. The bed was extremely comfortable, with quality linens and pillows, and the room was quiet with excellent air-conditioning. We looked out on the greenery of a private terrace, which added beauty and daylight, but it was too damp to sit outside. The location of the hotel in Dorsoduro is very convenient -- just a quick walk to the San Basilio vaporetto and Zattere promenade, with very pleasant longer strolls to the Campo San Barnaba, Peggy Guggenheim museum, and Accademia museum and bridge.

Really enjoyed our stay, perfect location with great food nearby, but quieter than the major tourist areas (which are in easy reach). Lovely hosts and great room, absolutely recommend the Italian breakfast. Very clean and comfortable, hope to visit again soon.

Super stylish room in a quite but convenient location. Francesco and the team were extremely friendly and helpful especially as we had a last minute booking with them. Great food and vaporetto all nearby in walking distance.

Hotel da favola.....sotto ogni aspetto! La posizione è strategica e comoda, a soli 12 minuti da Piazzale Roma, a 23 minuti da Piazza San Marco e a 5 minuti da Campo Santa Margherita, luogo pieno di locali caratteristici, dove è facile trovare ciò che si gradisce mangiare o bere. Le stanze sono pulite, ampie e dotate di ogni confort! La struttura vanta un personale gentile e sempre disponibile. Eccellente la colazione! A rendere, infine, speciale il nostro soggiorno sono stati Filippo e Francesco, i proprietari, che sin dal nostro arrivo e per tutto il resto del soggiorno si sono messi a completa disposizione!
