The hotel itself wasn't that bad. Pleasant staff.
My room was not cleaned properly. We foumd a birthday card from the previous people . I stood on a bottle top that was from the previous guests. The net curtain had blood on it we think . The bathroom was not grear either. Cracked tiles missing grout onthe floor tiles. Noisy toilet and the shower head had never been cleaned by the looks of things. Creeky floor boards of which you can see in the carpet the pattern of the boards .
Bed was comfortable.

What made our stay special was the staff, so friendly and always willing to help. We all thought that having a mixed age group in the restaurant as staff was excellent, seeing the retired people still respected and given work is becoming rare and we fully applaud the hotel for this policy.

Perfect for my needs spa is a bonus but some parts look tired and need some extra attention ( tiles in the pool stained long hair floating in pool and pipes of the water jet very oxi dated) sauna need fixing and cleaning . food very good and room modern comfy and spotless . Extra touch the lovely house kitty that was roaming around super cute and friendly. I love the fact there are charging point so next time I will benefit of it ! Ease advertise it in the website as it’s a massive selling point!

The staff were nice, the spa and grounds of the hotel are lovely and the restaurant was good. However, We paid extra for an executive room which said we would have a garden view but we had a terrible view over the roof, when we asked to move the staff said there were no other rooms available. The bed was uncomfortable with hard pillows and the room was very dark and small. We ordered room service and the only options were sandwiches, the man on the phone was rude and when the sandwich arrived it was extremely dry. The hotel looked outdated and unclean in some parts. The walls were paper thin and the hotel was very noisy with weddings happening each night. Overall it didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel and for what you get we thought £400 for 2 nights was very expensive.

Comfortable room, excellent food, prompt service in restaurant. Good base to explore surrounding countryside.
Reception and Spa staff overstretched at times, so longish waits to be attended to. Spa staff much better at switching up a gear in this situation then reception. Background music in the restaurant at right volume but incredibly bland and boring.

Lovely hotel, very welcoming. Spa was stunning although steam room was out of use and has been for sometime. (Would have been nice to know prior to booking).
Room was very clean and fresh, drinks reasonably priced at spa area.
Nice time for check in 3pm and check out 11am, which was a bonus comparing to other hotels.
Great stay overall and would recommend

Quiet (even though there was a wedding), attractive property with good parking. Restaurant staff (esp maitre D') initially seemed rather disinterested but saved by upbeat positive and helpful attitude of wine waitress. Bedroom was rather plain but the bed was v.good and v. good bathroom. The £25 extra for 2hrs spa access was steep when only needed a 30 min swim, so didn't bother. Food good and wines excellent. Would go back but would shop around first.
