It's overall a good option. They have free food and drinks in the upstairs lounge, and free booze every night. Typical for Japan, the place is immaculately clean and the service from the front desk is great. The location is good, about 10 minute walk to the yamanote line. Shinbashi is close and has lots of bars and restaurants.
From the perspective of a foreigner:
--Only some of the front desk agents spoke English, but they are all extremely patient. I was always able to communicate with the help of a translator app, so be prepared to be patient on your end too.
--The shower situation was different than what I am used to. There are no private shower stalls, but instead it is Japanese bath house style, where you sit on a plastic stool with pretty minimal privacy. If you are not comfortable with this, I recommend staying elsewhere.
--The clientelle is primarily Japanese businessmen. If you are a foreigner looking for a social experience, this is not it. It is VERY quiet (which may or may not be a good thing) including in the lounge. The general vibe is noone talks to each other and noone will talk to you either. I ran into only a couple other foreigners who I talked with for a bit but that was it.
--Keep in mind this is basically a hostel, so bring earplugs and a face mask.
