The Ripon Inn - the Inn Collection Group

Great hotel, staff were friendly and loved the ale house bar. One thing that could be improved is the Lift speed, it is painfully slow! I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again

Stayed at the Ripon Inn for 2 nights as we were at a Wedding at Grantly Hall. Absolutely lovely hotel, the staff are really friendly and happy to help, we had breakfast in the morning which was lovely. The room was perfectly sized for 2 people, kingsized bed and a huge bathroom! Will definitely return!

Excellent hotel, clearly had a lot of money spent recently. We booked last min onky 1 night, and got the basic room, lovely king sized bed and big bathroom. Bar a bit pricey but nothing more than most hotels and had live music on Friday night. We missed the alehouse but looks good, it's not the same as the bar, it's left as you go in the main entrance. Breakfast was buffet, we weren't expecting that but nice and obviously you got what you wanted, usual selection. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks.

One night getaway stay. Room was a good size overlooking the grounds and terrace. Large comfortable bed, nicely decorated, modern but most of all clean. Friendly helpful staff and amazing food. Will definately stay again. The only tiny negative, and being really picky here, reception was at the bar so initially wandered around, case in hand looking to book in.

4 day stay with 2 adults & 2 kids. Brilliant family rooms (bunk beds) the layout is very well thought out. Rooms were spotless. I did buy a shower mat though (which I forgot to take with me sorry) as our little one kept slipping and falling in the shower as he doesn't stand still. Excellent breakfasts, presented lovely every morning and all staff friendly and polite. Chef was happy to accommodate my little boy (3) with a bowl of porridge as an evening meal because that was all he wanted bless him. Thank you chef you saved the day for us. They seemed to be short on numbers staff wise at the bar but we weren't in any rush and enjoyed the lovely surroundings. Decor beautiful and kids said they want to go back so win win in our eyes. Thank you Ripon Inn and all staff for a brilliant stay we will all be back for another stay soon. Bartletts (room 38) the ones who hung the bag on the door handle :)

I booked our visit because the old Spa Hotel came up on an email, newly renovated and part of a group of hotels I’ve used before. It was even more special because there were so many photographs of ‘old’ Ripon on the walls. Check in was easy. We’d arrived early and my GF husband was delighted that he could have a delicious cranberry and chocolate flapjack with his coffee. He was also given a complete GF menu too. His food choice really was superb and his steak on our 2nd evening was superb despite the chef having a large party to cater for at the same time. My meals were really tasty too but the steak he had was probably one of the best he’s had in a long time. Our room was very clean with a very comfortable bed. Our bathroom was bright, light, very clean & spacious with two strong showers and a bath. The room was quite warm for me so I used the large table fan which was part of our room. All the windows opened so it was easy to regulate the overall temperature. What really impressed me was the hotel staff. They were very much a supportive team. On our first evening there was a new member of staff starting work in the bar - she was being taught about drinks, techniques for pulling different beers, cocktail making etc and the staff advising her were calm, informative, modelling how to do things but letting her learn and experiencing her job by doing it all herself. Every member of staff was a good role model. I observed a similar attitude from everyone at The Ripon In. the following evening when a situation could easily have been handled in a different way but every member of staff dealing with this issue was efficient, polite and calm. It was unusual to see a complete hotel staff from the manager to the kitchen staff to the cleaning staff all so friendly and clearly proud of working together. Well done to you all the Ripon Inn. You made our stay memorable.

Have stayed a number of times at the Ripon Inn and this was another enjoyable trip. The hotel is lovely with ample parking, and superb grounds to walk in. The room was nice and clean, although a little compact - and the breakfast was absolutely superb on both days. It is a buffet rather than table service, but whilst I prefer the buffet approach I appreciate some may see this as a disadvantage. It was very quiet the nights we stayed and I suspect there were some staffing shortages - service in the bar could have been better. Dinner wasn’t brilliant - prices are cheap but maybe charge a little more for higher quality food. Well definitely be back as we really like the place - hopefully will be a bit (but not too much) busier next time

Last minute break. What a lovely place to stay. Check in was so easy using the electronic system after being welcomed. Rome was extremely clean with the biggest pillows we have ever had. Plenty of information about the surroundings and the hotel. Couldn’t fault the service in the Inn bar or the hotel bar. Though we didn’t eat in the restaurant the food we saw looked well prepared and served. Breakfast had a lot of choice and the staff were again welcoming and friendly. Special treat was free drink if you didn’t need your room serviced. Thank you every staff member you are a love team

We both enjoyed our stay but was surprised to see dogs in the bar at evening mealtimes . One of the staff seemed very reluctant to pleasantries , or any eye contact which gave the service not a comfortable or friendly feeling both my friend and I decided one night dining there was more than enough . Not a happy experience .
