Nice warm welcome, Plenty of parking. Room was a good size with massive bed and a good size flat screen TV.
Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom could have been a bit more spacious and the shower had very low water pressure and only just hot enough.
Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was good all laid on to help ourselves with plenty to choose from.
Would have no problem staying here again.

We have been to this hotel several times, it has the basis of a fab hotel, great amenities etc but its not rub particularly well.
The pool/billiards room closes in the evening when you would assume it would be open to use for residents in the hotel, noone could ever quite tell me what time it didn't close but it was basically part of the swimming pool and gym and closed when that did. Again noone actually knew what time that was!
Paid for my puppy to stay but got no puppy treats, or puppy pack as promised!
All in all would stay again but it doesn't quite live up to its stars the way its currently being managed.

Niggling bad points
no plug sockets by the bed. Couldn't charge my phone overnite.
A hook in the curtains was broken letting too much light in
I didn't pay for breakfast, to expensive. A fellow guest did and says it wasn't worth the money.
My main bad point. Quality of sleep was ruined by the guest in the room above pacing about very early in the morning. I understand the hotel can't control the guests actions but it seems to me some sort of noise dampening between rooms is essential, i cud hear this person walking. Shouldn't be the case.

We were in old part.
A little run down but acceptable.
Food and bars were good.
Nice walks.
Was a shock seeing casualty filming !
We left our headphones. Phoned the hotel two weeks later and they sent them too us !

The walls in the bedroom were not the best stains all over the bedroom walls. Been there twice for food and both times have not been great with the prices we have paid. How ever a party of us went to the abba night and all i can say that is was absolutely fantastic

We've been staying here on and off for years but never again. Breakfast used to be included but now has to be paid for, and it's not worth the money at all. The pool is also extra when it was previously included. Pool area had broken and missing tiles. No double room available, had a suite which was in an awful state, mould and condensation, tired furniture, small bed, room very cold so had to keep my coat on. Staff didn't want to know, very dismissive. The whole hotel is run-down and needs updating, it has gone downhill since the new owners took over.There are other hotels in the area, I will be using them instead
