4-Sterne-Hotels in Colombo

Ich kam um 12 Uhr mittags im Hotel an, um mein Gepäck abzugeben, konnte aber schon früher einchecken, worüber ich sehr dankbar war. Lage, Sauberkeit, Service und Ausstattung waren für den Preis absolut zufriedenstellend. Das Gallery Cafe ist in der Nähe, daher würde ich bei einem erneuten Besuch in Colombo definitiv wieder hier übernachten und es auch Freunden empfehlen.

I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, ist sehr sauber und gut organisiert. Leider bat ich um einen späten Check-out für den Tag meiner Abreise und wurde zunächst um 10 $ pro Stunde gebeten (d. h. 60 $, ich hatte 55 $ für das Zimmer auf Trip.com bezahlt...), dann wurde der Preis auf 35 $ korrigiert Und schließlich boten sie mir, da ich die Abgabe am Flughafen storniert hatte, einen kostenlosen späten Check-out bis 15:00 Uhr an. Für 12 Dollar bekam ich ein „Daily Use“-Zimmer im gegenüberliegenden Gebäude, bei dem ich auch den Transfer zum Flughafen buchte (für 25 Dollar statt 40 Dollar, wie von Zest Metropole verlangt ... schade, wenn das nicht der Fall wäre). So unehrlich, es wäre ein tolles Hotel!

The hotel is clean and 15 minutes to the train station. But the SERVICE here is the worst. My room was opposite the restaurant. In the restaurant they sing every day until the morning. I felt like I was at a concert in the front row. The noise of drums and electric guitar did not let me sleep. I called the reception, they said they would call me, but they didn’t it.The next day, after check out. They didn’t apologize and didn’t even say goodbye. Cause they didn’t care, since my reservation had already ended. I really regretted staying there. It does not even pull 3 stars

Da ich einen Kunden treffen muss, wollte ich vorab im Hotel einchecken und mir bei der Bewältigung tatkräftig helfen, was mir jedoch zu keinem Zeitpunkt gelang. Die Landschaft ist unendlich schön, aber es ist einfach zu feucht, hahaha, ich werde es in Zukunft wieder wählen

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Insgesamt ist es in Ordnung. Der Preis ist in der Hauptstadt relativ günstig. Ich dachte, es wäre kein guter Aufenthalt, aber die Einwegartikel sind etwas grob. Das Badezimmer ist etwas dunkel und heiß. Es gibt immer noch viel Wasser. Auf dem Dach gibt es einen Infinity-Pool, um die Nachtansicht zu genießen🌃. In der Nähe gibt es einen Sportplatz, der sehr lebhaft ist. An der Ecke der Hauptstraße vor der Tür gibt es einen großen Obststand, der sehr interessant ist! Geh nicht

Dies ist das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich je übernachtet habe. Obwohl das Servicepersonal eine sehr gute Einstellung hat, ist das Zimmer selbst alt und veraltet. Ich war 10 Tage dort. An 5 Tagen gab es ein Problem mit dem Schalter im Schrank und es machte ein summendes Geräusch. Das Wartungspersonal hat mich bereits kontaktiert. Ich verstehe, dass es aufgrund der häufigen Wartung nicht empfohlen wird, in diesem Hotel Urlaub zu machen

Also das Foyer glänzt wirklich überall, ebenso wie die Korridore, aber das Zimmer das wir hatten… naja. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hatte sogar unser Visum für Indien ausgedruckt, doch das Restaurant kann ich nicht empfehlen. Wir hatten eine Rechnung von ungefähr 6000 Rupien erwartet, doch wir fielen aus allen Wolken als dort dann mehr als 8000 drauf standen wegen den Servicegebüren und so weiter. Das war sehr unverschämt wie wir fanden. Wenigstens durften wir dann kostenlos Billard spielen.

Excellentw location next to many great restaurants including Chilax. Nice uninterrupted view of the Indian ocean. Good aircon and ample hot water in the bathroom. Good WiFi throughout. It’s a bit loud from the passing trains even after the windows are closed. Rooftop view of the Indian ocean is really relaxing. Staff is nice and relaxed. We recommend.
