Wonderful experience to staying in the important architecture. The site is originally owned the De Saram bros. and given to the Bawa trust then became an accommodation for public. The building is renovated by Geoffrey Bawa, so it’s must visit for architects and designers. The building is in good condition, it’s not for luxury but for indifferent experience. The master staff is really nice and knowledgeable, he kindly showed me other rooms! I had a pleasant and precious experience here. Note: wifi and hot water is really good. Breakfast is international style. (non Sri Lankan) The main entrance is really deep from the street, you just ring the bell of the huge black gate.

I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

Awesome Hostel in Colombo! Das erste, was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Sie sind immer bereit, mit allem zu helfen, was Sie brauchen, und die Rezeption ist offen 24/7, was Sie jederzeit sicher und komfortabel fühlen. Ein weiterer großer Highlight ist das Bistro auf dem oberen Stock. Der Ort ist schön, die Atmosphäre ist großartig, und das Essen ist wirklich lecker. Preise sind sehr vernünftig für die Qualität, und alles, was wir versucht haben, war wirklich schmeckt. Das Hostel selbst sieht stilvoll, sauber und gut gepflegt aus. Das Innendesign ist modern und gemütlich und insgesamt fühlt es sich mehr als ein richtiges Hotel als ein typisches Hostel. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt wirklich genossen und würde sicher wiederkommen!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, everything was perfect. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The reception team especially made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate! this is a great place to stay!

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Kamen sehr spät an und waren trotzdem willkommen D mit alkoholfreiem, frisch gepresstem Saft für mich und meine Kleinste, äußerst zuvorkommend zu so später Stunde, das Frühstück war ein Buffet mit anderen westeuropäischen und traditionellen sri-lankischen Gerichten und wir konnten trotzdem so ziemlich alles bestellen – meine Tochter wollte Spiegeleier nach westlicher Art auf Toast und hat sie direkt vor ihr aufgeschlagen, die Aussicht von unserem Zimmer war unglaublich, man konnte das Meer gegen die Felsen schlagen hören, wünschte nur, wir hätten länger bleiben können, wirklich nette Leute, der Service war außergewöhnlich – ihr seid nett, sie sind nett, kinderleicht, xox

Insgesamt ist es in Ordnung. Der Preis ist in der Hauptstadt relativ günstig. Ich dachte, es wäre kein guter Aufenthalt, aber die Einwegartikel sind etwas grob. Das Badezimmer ist etwas dunkel und heiß. Es gibt immer noch viel Wasser. Auf dem Dach gibt es einen Infinity-Pool, um die Nachtansicht zu genießen🌃. In der Nähe gibt es einen Sportplatz, der sehr lebhaft ist. An der Ecke der Hauptstraße vor der Tür gibt es einen großen Obststand, der sehr interessant ist! Geh nicht

War ein Fan von diesem Hotel, leider hat es sehr nachgelassen!. Internet lief fast zwei Tage nicht, Frühstück musste sofort nach dem Verzehr bezahlt werden, eine Abrechnung mit Zimmer Nummer und Zahlung an der Rezeption war nicht möglich!? Ziemlich nervig wenn deine Brieftasche im Safe liegt. Spagetti in der rooftop bar absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!! Beer aus Dosen, Tonic aus Plastikflaschen….

Die Lage ist genial. Und das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist alt und wird nicht sauber gehalten. Aber das Personal ist freundlich und hat uns sofort ein Upgrade in ein saubereres Apartment gegeben. Das neue Apartment war sauberer. Könnte aber besser sein.
