Den bezahlten Preis nicht wert (wahrscheinlich war er wegen des Rugby-Spiels an dem Tag sogar noch höher). Die Lage im Stadtzentrum ist sehr praktisch; ich hatte ein ruhiges Zimmer gebucht und auch bekommen. Es war sehr geräumig, aber die Ausstattung entsprach nicht meinen Erwartungen. Die Aussicht war wunderschön, aber die Eleganz und Qualität entsprachen nicht dem Preis (die Handtücher wiesen deutliche Gebrauchsspuren auf, die Sauberkeit war akzeptabel, aber mit einigen Mängeln, das Waschbecken war unerklärlicherweise unbequem und niedrig, und die Duschkabine überflutete das Badezimmer). Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend! Eine Preisanpassung ist wirklich übertrieben.

I like to book Holiday Inn when I travel because it's usually reliable, although some branches can be a older/more worn out than others, but I expect would be up to standards. Room was comfortable and very spacious. Had a Big screen tv ehich was great to watch the match.The night team went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay and responded to my request.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut. Das Personal war sehr hilfreich. Der einzige Nebenteil war der Lärm von einer lokalen Bar, der nicht aufhörte, bis 4.30am! Ich weiß, das Hotel kann nicht viel darüber tun, aber sie könnten vielleicht die Fenster zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt trippeln..

I extended for a late checkout, since it’s the night after concert. So I went back to bed after breakfast, and DONG!!! Fire alarm! VERY LOUD that every sleepy soul would wake up frustratingly. Turns out it’s just a test? And the reception said it’s the policy to do every Monday 10am? But that time was 11.30! Anyway if they have planned for it they should tell guest upfront so I don’t have to wake up panicly and rushed out to the fire exit, needed to go to the reception to restore the keycard cause everything will be reset after the alarm(as they told me). This is ridiculously unacceptable. It’s overpriced too but this subject is known and accepted since it’s the concert night.

The views here are exceptional. The service and staff were all of the highest standards. Would definitely return and recommend.

Gute Lage nicht weit vom Zentrum von Cardiff entfernt. Service war schlecht, Rezeptionisten schienen, sie wollten nicht dort arbeiten und Frühstückspersonal wie ihre Familie war gerade gestorben. Das sagte, das Frühstück war gut Qualität und das Zimmer war gut. Erforderlich einige Cobwebs entfernt und Form aus dem Badezimmer gereinigt

Großer Ort für eine schnelle Getaway

I have a really mixed feeling about this hotel. I booked the superior room with tree lined view and asked for a quiet room: the receptionist gave me an extremely cold and noisy room right next to the motorway and above some nightclubs. My watch has identified the noise level is over the normal limit. I couldn’t fall asleep due to the loud noise even at midnight. I called the receptionist to change a room. Unfortunately, they first gave me a standard room that the heating system was not working and much smaller than I have paid for. The two maintenance officers who came to check the heating system are very helpful and suggested to change to another room. Only by then, I was able to change to another room that matched the similar sized of a superior room, but without tree lined view. I must say that all the receptionists were friendly and polite but behind their friendliness, they are not really helpful at all. I had my dinner, a sea bass meal, at the restaurant - see the photo. The dinner and the service was both outstanding. The kettle in the room was not very clean; it could easily be cleaned by using small spray to remove the calcium. The gym and swimming pool are excellent. If you are not used to live in really loud room, please double check with the receptionists. It is also not worth to pay an extra 10 pounds per night to get a so called tree lined room with extreme loud noise. I also wonder the reason for the hotel to give customers rooms that the heating system are not working. It would helpful to check before they allocate room to customers. It would also helpful that the hotel ensure that the room has reasonable temperature before admitting guests, esp on a very cold winter night. Overall, this is not a very good experience. I was not able to sleep for a whole night. I paid extra in the hope of getting a better and quiet room but ended up with one of the worst room without getting any compensation.
