"We had a lovely stay for a couple of days while attending my sister’s wedding. We stayed in the family room and arrived a few hours early as we were travelling from Essex. Kim, the manager, was absolutely brilliant. She could see we were a little stressed when we arrived and kindly suggested we go and get something to eat while she worked on getting our room ready. Within half an hour, the room was available for us, which was a huge help. Nothing was too much trouble for Kim. When we needed extra pillows, she sorted it. When we needed an iron and ironing board, she sorted that too. She even gave my boys some biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Premier Inn is very lucky to have a manager like Kim—she provided outstanding customer service throughout our stay. The room was clean, the food was good, and overall we had a great experience. We would definitely stay again and would happily recommend this hotel to others. My only minor suggestions would be that family rooms could benefit from a larger bin and a bit more storage space, especially when staying with children. Thank you to Kim and the team for making our stay so enjoyable! 😊"

"We stayed for two nights as our bathroom is being replaced at home. This is a former Premier Inn which retains the 'footprint' and build/comfort standard of a PI. The rooms have showers instead of baths which is perfect for me. I rang ahead and requested a ground floor room which was honoured- we were given room 2 which met our needs and requirements. Bed was really comfortable, tv had limited channels but I was able to log into my Netflix. There is hanging space for your clothes, a hair dryer and plenty of sockets, none by the bed though. The WiFi was adequate for our needs. There is free, secure parking provided at the rear of the hotel - you need a code to exit so as safe as can be. No noise considering the M4 motorway and main A48 sandwich the hotel. There is a restaurant for food but we didn't use it. Menu was a bit pricey but has good reviews. All the staff that we met were friendly. The Receptionists were lovely and a big shout out to Alice who sorted our return visit next week when we get back from holiday. For the money it's excellent value for a clean, friendly place to stay."

"Das Hotel selbst war trotz einiger Fragen beim Einchecken schön - nämlich dass das Zimmer nicht bereit war. Als wir erzählten, dass wir einchecken konnten, entdeckte ich, dass mir das falsche Zimmer gegeben wurde. Das Hotel-Rezeption-Personal war hilfreich und fand endlich das Zimmer, das ich ursprünglich gebucht hatte, und wir bewegten uns ohne viel Schmutz. Das enttäuschende Element des Aufenthalts war, dass ich 10 £ pro Erwachsene für das Schwimmen zahlen musste - ich hatte nicht für meinen Sohn zu zahlen, aber nachdem ich schon fast 150 £ gezahlt hatte, war ich nicht am besten beeindruckt von diesem zusätzlichen und unerwarteten Gebühren."

"Rooms are tiny. Think of a ferry cabin with bunks and shoebox shower and bathroom. Windows didn't open so ventilation was poor and noisey. Stood waiting for 10 mins at check in no staff answering the call button and paid premier for early check in. Breakfast was naff. Go to morrisons next door twice as much food and better quality for the same price. Overall only good point was access to main roads and parking."

"The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, has old world charm yet modern. Breakfast is good though sometimes a long queue is formed outside the restaurant. But my check in was very disappointing. First the time it took for that staff to process it led me to think either their computer is not working or there's a problem with my booking (but I have received reminder from Trip.com. Worst, that staff asked me to pay a sum which is about £100 more than the stated sum on my hotel voucher ( he even said specifically "For the first night the amount is xxx, and for the second night, the amount is xxx, with a security deposit of £50, the total is £4xx."I told him he made a mistake as the sum stated in my printed voucher is only £3xx. That staff is either incompetent or not trustworthy, and should not be working on front desk. ALWAYS CHECK THE PRICE ON YOUR VOUCHER."
