I stayed the night before I was doing the City2Surf run as it is literally a 5 minute walk to the start line and it was a great price compared to hotels in the city. Once I had booked I received a confirmation stating that bags could not be held and check out was 10am and the code to open my door would be changed. That was a bit of a nuisance as I knew I would probably get back from the race at around 10.30/11. Thankfully I had a friend staying in Sydney so I took my bag to his hotel the night before and wore home just what I was wearing to race the next day. The room itself was very clean and tidy and well presented. The only thing I would like to see done is for them to put in a kettle with tea/coffee. It would be minimal outlay for them but would make someone’s stay just a little more pleasant. Being above the pub you obviously had noise but, honestly, for me it wasn’t that bad and I got a good nights sleep. Shared toilet and bathrooms on each floor and kept clean. I would stay here again for the race if I could secure a slightly later check out 😃

Meine Familie von 4 war in diesem eklektischen Schatz. Freundlich und bequem Personal und eine wunderbare Lage. Es ist im Herzen der Stadt und weniger als ein Block vom Bahnhof zu leicht zugänglich zu jeder Attraktion. Tonnen von Einkaufen und Restaurants blockiert weg und ein wunderschönes Restaurant auf der Website. Das Gebäude ist charmant und schön, renoviert im ursprünglichen Stil und Elegance. Feste Betten und Qualitätsstühle, die eine Besessenheit von meinem auf Urlaub. Es war erstaunlich, die Hügel und Büste der Stadt zu sehen, aber der Lärm aus der Straße hat nicht in unser Zimmer eingebrochen. Dies war eine perfekte Oase, in der Mitte aller! Wir lieben unseren Aufenthalt!!!

Ich war gut, wie in den 80er Jahren war ich arm und lief um Australien, um die ersten beiden Ausgaben meines ersten Romans, Erlaubnis zum Kill, über den Vietnamkrieg. Wenn das Wetter inzwischen war, musste ich in Low End Hotels fahren. Hier bin ich, zurück in Sydney versucht, die Flamme der Berühmtheit wiederzuheben, indem ich meine eBook-Ausgaben aller meiner Romane drückte. So ging ich in den Wynyard. Es hat sich nicht etwas geändert, es ist immer noch ein 2.5 Star Hotel. Kleines Zimmer, mit einem Fenster, das im Wind rutschte und im Regen leckte. Geteilt, Badezimmer. Niedriges Licht, mit dem Lärm von der Innenstadt Sydney ringt wie ein konstanter Alarm. Ahhhh, zu Hause.

I would have rated this 2 stars but the good customer service puts it to 3. Basically the design of the place is terrible. There is only a single shower and a single toilet to share between about 4-5 rooms. And the single toilet is within the same room as the shower! which means if another guest takes a shower you are locked out of toilet access until they’re out (imagine if someone takes an hour to get ready in the bathroom!). Furthermore, if you have to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, you have to go out into the common corridor which is brightly lit 24/7 thereby waking not only you up, but also waking your partner up as the light floods into the room & the door is very loud opening/closing. The room is also tiiiiny. We were initially booked 4 nights but asked to leave after 2 nights because these issues were causing us to have bad sleep and not enjoy our stay. To their credit, they organised a refund for the remaining nights. The location of the place is good, near shops and cafes. But we rebooked at a Meriton suites which was only slightly more expensive but so much more comfortable and better value.

Zimmer 20 Familiensuite rm - Hotel ist wirklich günstig für die Bahnhof und Essen Straße in Strafield. Viel Speiseoptionen in der Nähe. Checkin war einfach. Zimmer war sehr grundlegende. Erscheint sauber, aber sehr müde. Dekor alt (nicht historisch alt), dann ziemlich runter. Fernseher funktionierte nicht und altes Klimaanlage war wirksam, aber ein wenig laut. Betten waren wirklich schrecklich. Wir vermuten sehr alt und günstig (können die Frühlinge fühlen) und extrem unbehaglich. Einige Lärme im Hotel und im Flaschengeschäft, aber verwaltebar. Sie werden nicht mehr hier bleiben.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife as part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner: An elderly gentleman by the name of Andrew, He was welcoming and generous: When we were shown to our room, he then offered us a bigger room. He even offered us a lift to Darling Harbour the following morning and, upon request, arranged a TV for our room. The place itself is rich in history. I always love staying in historical buildings and this one is one of the best. It has the sense of age & place and it there is something to be said to be staying at a place with such a historical feel behind it. The rooms are well furnished and the beds we used were indeed comfortable. Indeed a classy place to stay

The hostel was clean. bathrooms were clean. It was great to have the elevator and very stable wifi.
Good to have a curtain for each bed as to keep privacy, if i were to point out one thing to improve, the door was too heavy that everyone from the room was letting the door closed loudly, it would be great if front desk or any notice could remind travelers to be aware of that.
After all it was a pleasant stay and I enjoyed the activity Pacific house provided. Thank you!

Das Zimmer war recht sauber, das einzig schlechte war, dass sich das Fenster nicht öffnen ließ. Natürlich können öffentliche Toiletten und Toiletten unbequem sein, aber man braucht sie nicht immer. Der zweite Laden auf der linken Seite, wenn Sie das Haus verlassen, ist die Wäscherei, was sehr praktisch ist. Zum Sydney Opera House laufen Sie etwa 40 Minuten. Great hostel in a perfect location close to everything (transports, attractions, supermarket, restaurants). The dorms are spacious with huge lockers, the beds are very confortable and give you privacy with the curtains. The kitchen / lounge / laundry area is well equiped and very nice and modern. The numbers of showers / toilets is enough for the size of the hostel. And the most important : everything is super clean and tidy ! The staff is really nice, helpful and friendly and keep the place absolutely spotless. I've rarely seen an hostel this clean, comfy and well organised! Clearly it's a great place to stay in Sydney either for a few days to visit or even for a longer stay while working. I 100% recommend the Pod Sydney !

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Sydney. We stayed in room 2, and whilst it was a smallish room, it was compact and nicely decorated and everything felt clean. In our room we had a TV, a modern bathroom with a rain shower, and space to hang a few things. We had an aircon unit that we didn’t use as the weather was very cool. The linen was clean and fresh, but the bed was a tad small and not the most comfortable. We liked the communal kitchen area and it was nice to help ourselves to tea / coffee, cereals and bread and preserves. In this area, there was also a communal fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The rooms were made up daily, and there is the option to change out your towels. The location is convenient for the North Sydney train stop, and there are lots of frequent bus routes near to the hotel, so the hotel is in a great location. Given that this hotel has a popular pub area below, the sound proofing below was excellent but we did hear our neighbours in the adjacent room which did disturb our sleep temporarily. The food in the hotel is excellent and we had the best fish and chips here. This hotel is fantastic value for money and a great place for a short stay in Sydney.

GGuest UserClean hostel with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with large lockers for each occupant and personal plugs and bed side lights in a great position. Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

GGuest UserSie blieb dort 9 Nächte, sah nur die einsexigen Badezimmer einmal gereinigt und die Hausaufbewahrung kam zweimal. The blankets they give is for the beds are disgusting, there is literally a note saying don't use the blanket without the flat sheet as ‘do you really want the blanket on your skin from the last person...ew’ so they clearly never wash them which is so Groß!! Ich wollte es nicht mal berühren und es auf dem Boden verlassen, den ganzen Aufenthalt!! Die Küche ist zu klein für das ganze Hostel und nicht gut ausgestattet, die Badezimmer waren so unhygienisch und immer stumpf, sind nicht einverstanden, einsex Badezimmer in einem Hostel zu haben, besonders für Mädchen, da ich nicht in dem Zimmer wechseln konnte, da ich keine Privatsphäre hatte und so die einzige Option war, in schmutzige Dusche Kubiklöcke wechseln Nur gut über dieses Hostel ist die gemeinsame Fläche, die einen TV kann man verwenden Würde nicht wieder in Eile bleiben

SstefffishAbsoluut schrecklicher Service. Ich habe diesen Ort vor einem frühen Flug von Sydney am nächsten Morgen reserviert und es war eine letzte Minute Reise wegen der Regenstorme in NSW am Wochenende. Während einer 5-Stunden-Züge vom Albion Park (das sollte eigentlich 1.5hrs dauern) wurde klar, dass wir nicht die Mitternacht-Check in der Zeit machen, da Landslides bedeuteten, dass wir einen Bus-Ersatzdienst nehmen müssen. Ich habe versucht, das Hotel mehrmals zu kontaktieren, aber ohne zu verfüge, und ich habe eine kostenlose Stornierung beantragt. Ich habe nichts anderes bekommen, bis fast Mitternacht am Tag der Buchung, womit ich offensichtlich einen anderen Ort für den Aufenthalt gebucht hatte. Die Antwort sagte, dass ich nicht kostenlos stornieren konnte, da es innerhalb von 24 Stunden nach der Buchung war. Die Antwort fehlte an der Adresse, die ich innerhalb von 15 Minuten nach der Buchung gefordert hatte, zu stornieren und dass ich nur auf der Grundlage, dass ich nicht in der Lage war, dort für ihre Kontrolle in den Einschränkungen aufgrund des ungünstigen Wetters zu kommen. Schön genug sieht es aus, als hätten wir einen Vertrag mit der Menge der Bewertungen, die über die Betten schlagen, die Hexen erwähnen!! Ich habe schon etwa 10 Mal versucht, diesen Ort zu kontaktieren und habe keine Antwort dazu. Wirklich schrecklicher Service & so eine Schande, dass es unsere Ferienerfahrung gefährdet. GEBEN NICHT Dieser korrupte Geschäft GEBEN EI! F**k Sie Cambridge Lodge.

GGuest UserReinigkeit ist sehr wichtig für alle Hotels und Unterkünfte. weil es Krankheiten verursachen kann. Staub aus dem Fan und Klimaanlage kommt, wenn es läuft. Ich zeige, wie die Kluft auf den Wänden durchdringt. Besonders der Lärm von den Türen und Klimaanlage muss ersetzt werden. Aber obwohl ich mir bewusst war, ist es, wie wir es alle enden, wenn wir nach dem Raum der Wirtschaft. Management ist sehr freundlich, aber mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf Reinigung und vielleicht ist es Zeit, Renovierungen zu machen.

AAnonymer NutzerThe wooden floor is very noisy. Every Time someone walk down the stairs it makes sound.other than that very nice room and bed and clean toilet too.location is very convenient. 7min from the train station.close to supermarket and some nice restaurants.

AAudrey ExplorerFriendly customer service and hotel guests. Clean and tidy. Only the fridge is too full, and no laundry machine yet. The big plus is the location, next to the King Cross entrance at Darlinghurst road.
