Wellnesshotels in Kathmandu

Thanks to the whole team who makes my stay so great: Airport pick up & drop off; the room, the pool, the food… The breakfast is AMAZING!!! Especially the little cake for my birthday impressed me much. Will definitely come and stay again

Ich blieb insgesamt fünf Nächte. Ich war von der Reise zu müde, um das Hotel zu wechseln, aber das Hotel war voller Enttäuschungen. Ich kaufte in der Lobby einen Kuchen, der drei- bis fünfmal teurer war als die frischen Kuchen draußen. Ich wusste nicht, wie lange er schon da war, als ich ihn aß. Ich schätze, es war mindestens eine Woche. Nach Rücksprache mit dem Restaurant scheiterte ich. Nach einer erneuten Kontaktaufnahme durch Ctrip entschuldigte man sich und zahlte den Schaden. Das Personal hielt mich wegen eines Fehlers an der Tür zum Frühstück auf. Nach nochmaliger Überprüfung kam nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Nach dem Auschecken aß ich im Restaurant und bestellte die Pasta, die ich zuvor bestellt hatte, aber sie roch nach Spülwasser oder Lappen. Das einzig Positive ist der Service des Personals. Kathmandu und das Hotel insgesamt sind nicht zufriedenstellend.

Da der Flug spät am Morgen ankam, waren die jungen Leute an der Rezeption sehr enthusiastisch und boten einen guten Service. Obwohl die Hoteleinrichtungen nicht sehr neu sind, ist die Umgebung sehr komfortabel und hat einen anderen exotischen Stil. Nach zwei Tagen Aufenthalt war das Frühstück in Ordnung, aber das Mädchen, das für das Frühstück zuständig war, begrüßte die Europäer und Amerikaner nur und reichte ihnen Kaffee, drückte aber ein Auge zu und ignorierte mich.

Die Sauberkeit und der Service des Hotels sind unübertroffen. Es gibt auch eine Buddha-Statue im Hotel. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr gut, eher auf den chinesischen Appetit abgestimmt. Es ist in der Tat eine gute Wahl für Geschäftsreisen. Ich werde dieses Hotel auch beim nächsten Mal wieder wählen.

We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for their warmth hospitality & comfort during our stay.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff mit wenigen Verbesserungsbedarf. Der Schwimmbad ist völlig enttäuschend. Besser zu schließen, als zu laufen und nicht schwimmen, Energieverlust. Das Wasser ist schmutzig, keine Stern überhaupt. Die Lobby, das Zimmer und die Ghurka-Bar sind noch großartig. 2 Stromausfälle in einem Tag, ich glaube, sie kämpfen mit Stromknappheit aufgrund dunkler Lounges. Frühstück war so, Kaffee oder Tee sollte keine Herausforderung zuerst servieren, manchmal genommen die Hälfte der Mahlzeit, bevor sie kommen. Viele Tische sind nicht stabil und abgestimmt, Eier können leicht auf die andere Seite rollen. Mindestens 3 Tische auf meiner Erfahrung. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel, schönes Bett und immer frisch. Nur geräuschlich von AC , Wartungsteam kam zweimal auf meinem Zimmer zu reparieren, obwohl der Transfer wurde auf meine letzten 2 Tage angeboten. Manager sollten nicht im Buffet-Line stehen, entweder sollten sie die Mitarbeiter der Line helfen oder das Team leiten, sprechen in der Öffentlichkeit ist nicht unsere Gäste Sorge. Front Desk Trainee, hat gute Präsenz, ich dachte zuerst, er ist Manager. Das Hotel verfügt über ein großes Potenzial, ein schönes Design, große Einrichtungen und großes Personal. Ich wünsche mir, dass die Geschäftsleitung alle sich selbst schaut und diese kleinen Details überprüft.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the service, as well as the food is excellent. The rooms however, are very old and small (we were able to change rooms after bringing this up with reception). The location is in Thamel and getting to nearby attractions is convenient

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and transportation. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay!

酒店服務非常專業，早餐豐富，前台服務熱情周到。説要水，很快就送來了。而且酒店裡面有電吹風，洗澡熱水非常舒適。 很多中國人到其他地方找中餐吃，結果發現最正宗的中餐在酒店樓上九層。而且這裏的巧克力布朗尼，非常正宗。原本應該是和冰淇淋一起吃，我提出來要吃熱的，酒店立即做了熱呼呼的冰激凌。酒店旁邊有個加德滿都最大的農貿市場，6個大蘋果，衹要不到20元人民幣。這裏什麼蔬菜水果都能買到。 因為加德滿都經常堵車，如果銜接航班，酒店離機場很近，這又是一大優勢。
