The conditions are average. I think it is no exaggeration to say 5 marks in the 10-point system. Good

As soon as we artived the owner met us and took us ti our topm. Explained the entry procedure. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable and more than acceptable for the price of the accomodation. The only slight doenside we were led to believe there was a bar and food but it is currently being reurbushed.

Terrible experience. Poor accommodation, Stank of dampness. £110 for uncomfortable beds, no food and no-one available in the am for any assistance

Jacqueline is wonderful! Family feel, treated terrifically during our two night stay. Pub was a great place to wind down after a day of travel and touring. Arrived in advance of taking a cruise from the port in Southampton and were pleasantly surprised. Easy to take the bus to downtown for 2 pound per trip, 13 pound taxi ride from the bus port, Highly Recommend!

While all the other hotels at Southampton were very expensive during our stay, The Swan Inn was only 90£ for a room with an on suite shower. We usually stay at big chain hotels so weren’t sure what we’ll get, but decided to give it a shot and don’t regret it! The rooms have everything you need and a great TV, very quiet (especially considering the location), and the owner is absolutely lovely. Thanks a lot to her. We’ll come back if we are in Southampton again.

Overall, it was a nice stay. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and recently updated, with a small fridge. The only one, that we had in England. Bonus. It's not really a negative, depending on your needs or expectations, but there is no food available. I wrongly assumed, that being a pub, that they might have food. The nearest takeout, was closed and it required a long walk to find restaurant. Perhaps we should have planned in advance, for that. We didn't want to drive, because parking there is limited and being a pub, we would probably lose our parking. But, it was as advertised, so no real complaints.

Landlady is very friendly. The room and ensuite were spotless. Unfortunately, the pub was closed unexpectedly so didn't get to relax as much as we'd have liked.

The Swan Inn is located in Sholing and is a short downhill walk away from Sholing station. Woolston station is around three quarters of a mile distant on foot. The rooms are located in a block adjacent to the pub and I was able to acquire the room with en suite facilities. It contained a large double bed, a decent shower and tea & coffee making facilities. I spent a comfortable night here although there is no facility for breakfast. I had a complimentary night courtesy of ********** so only paid £14 for tax for one night.

Just a night stop over for a cycling event over at Gang Warily. Very light and airy room, very comfortable bed. Everything spotless. Great price
