Sameer Kapoor, General Manager at the Marriott Courtyard in Colva, Goa, runs a tight ship. We were warmly greeted by Nilesh, the hotel’s driver, at the airport in a spotless vehicle and driven safely to the hotel. Upon arrival, Sheetal and Kichu at the front desk made us feel welcome and immediately upgraded our room. As Elite members, we were treated to a delectable selection of appetizers and cocktails of our choice, with Vignesh and Sabyasachi ensuring we were well taken care of. The hotel is situated in a peaceful location, surrounded by lush greenery, and just a short distance from the beach. We’re only on the first day of our 10 day stay in Colva, and we’re plain loving it. Sameer Kapoor is hands on - who greets guests at breakfast and looks to their comfort and need with grace and courtesy. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of fresh options. Executive Chef Manoj stopped by several times to offer suggestions, including dishes prepared fresh off the stove too. To top it off, Sameer Kapoor personally upgraded our room again, promising a suite in the near future. We declined the suite as our room had an excellent view of the fields and offered a stunning sun set. Shout out to Akshat who continuously ensures are stay is comfortable and our needs are met. The room we were given is in a quiet corner of the top most floor, it is spotlessly clean, with a sitting area that comes with a huge L-shaped sofa, I find it a cozy spot to read and or watch TV. However, the bed is the highlight as it is Snow White, firm, and cool, just right. The bathroom requires special mention as the glass enclosed rain shower hits you with great force, the double sinks give us ample arm and elbow room, whilst the tub allows us to soak our tired bodies. The outdoor pool is wonderfully clean and offers respite from the sun via a verdant plant wall that is well maintained. Absolutely superb! The bar service by the pool is simply impeccable. I truly wish we could mentioned every staff member whom we’ve interacted with: Security and bell boys; house keeping; cleaning staff; restaurant, bar and front desk personnel - all really know how to treat their guests. Thank you for a most memorable stay. I find that Marriotts worldwide, in general, can learn a lot from the Marriotts in India, having travelled around the world and stayed at Marriotts - nothing compares to the service and hospitality provided by the Marriott Bonvoys in India.
