Stayed here for a week’s skiing, we were a mixed group of two couples, a single gentleman, and a mum and daughter. So impressed with this hotel - rooms very spacious, fabulous food and a great spa area with treatments. The boot room was bigger than many with room numbered, heated boot racks making everything very organised. The hotel is about a 10-15min walk from the gondola but the ski bus stops outside and is fairly regular. Coming back at the end of the day, you can cut across and ski back to a road opposite the hotel! The staff really made this hotel. First the dining room: Giuseppe runs the team and is truly excellent. Very polished with every little detail covered. Some of us are vegetarians and our food was tremendous. The courses are many but small which was lovely. There was also a buffet with great fresh salad, fish, meats etc. our main server was Lisabeth - charming and again, very attentive. Breakfast was also fabulous - all the staff were very happy to bring fresh coffees and make sure that the plentiful buffet was replenished - no excuse for going to the slopes hungry! In the bar, which is a lovely room, Daniel (and another chap whose name I can’t remember) was excellent. He kept drinks and free snacks coming and the wine drinkers in the party tasted some lovely local wines. The spa area has to be booked so they can limit the numbers, but it was easy to do. The area is spotless and includes whirlpool, sauna, steam room, Turkish bath, aromatherapy room, ice room, showers and relaxation area. We had a few massages and Maria was both friendly and incredible at providing massages….the mauri sports massage was amazing for easing our tired legs! All in all, I cannot fault this hotel. Everything was lovely and it was a great base for skiing in the area. We’ve stayed elsewhere in the Dolomites but this gave us a new perspective. In addition to the resorts on the Sellaronda, we were able to ski new areas (new for us) such as Alpe de Suisi and Ortesei. We will be going back to Oswald!
