We had a lovely stay at the PDE Hotel during our first visit to Santander. The hotel looks basic from the outside but it's clean, quiet and we loved the location (the entrance is on a side alley just after the wee Arc), not from the bar on the main street!. The staff is very attentive, polite and helpful (we had a slight issue with the aircon which was resolved in no time!). The room was comfy, good size, lots of storage, bathroom was clean, generous size, nice shower. Again the staff was very good replenishing the room on a daily basis with toiletries and complementary water. Breakfast was downstairs in the bar: you only have a choice of a sweet and a savoury, coffee and a juice but the portions are generous. Any extra you would need to pay. We did not eat in the restaurant but the food seemed nice (plus you have a 10% discount if you stay in the hotel). Plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes nearby... spoiled for choices. Santander is lovely, definitely going back!

Great experience at this centrally located hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful during the checkin process. The hostel is centrally located in Santander, and has a nice atmosphere inside. There is plentiful space to hang out and work, with great kitchen facilities and also a vending machine and coffee machine for guest use. The hostel was very clean, and the bunks had privacy dividers which I personally find very valuable for a good nights sleep. Overall I would definitely recommend this location to family and friends!!

Wenn Sie eine einfache Pension in der Nähe des Bus und Bahnhofs suchen, könnte dies der Ort für Sie sein. Die Zimmer sind etwas benutzt, aber noch funktional. Gute Punkte sind die Lage, gute Internetanbindung, ,reiches warmes Wasser und freundliches Personal vor allem Nachtporter, der bei der späten Ankunft sehr hilfreich war. Allerdings ist das Problem hier der Preisverhältnis /quality nicht wirklich steck up. Ich habe 60 Euro für einen einzigen ohne Kühlschrank oder Klimaanlage und ein Innenfenster gezahlt. Es gibt keine internationalen Fernsehkanäle und das Teppich in den Gemeinden benötigt kaum Ersatz. Ich habe in 3 und 4 Sternenplätze mit weit überlegenen Einrichtungen für einen ähnlichen Preis auf der gleichen Reise gehalten. Obwohl Santander Hotels zugegebenermaßen insgesamt scheinen teuer . Die Wände (und Decken) im Gebäude sind sehr dünn und Lärm reiten leicht. In der Woche war das nicht so viel von einem Problem, sondern am Samstag Abend / Sonntagmorgen mehr so.

Elegí el hotel Faranda Alisas de Santander porque en las imágenes parecia un buen hotel acompañado de un precio adecuado. Al llegar al Check ing a la 13:00 nos dice el empleado Jorge que hasta las 14:30 no podemos entrar porque estaban a falta de personal de limpieza. A las 14:30 nos hace entrega de la tarjeta para acceder a la habitación, pero al llegar nos damos cuenta de que no era una tarjeta la que abre la puerta sino que una llave bajamos para solicitar aquella llave y con tal desaire me dice que tengo que esperar ya que esta atendiendo a un cliente, después de un rato me hace entrega de la llave de la puerta. Al entrar a la habitación si se le puede llamar así porque era un zulo con una única ventana que daba a un patio el cual estaba repleto de heces de palomas. Os podéis imaginar nuestra sorpresa al ver tal asquerosidad. Bajo a decirle que eso no era lo que habíamos contratado ya que ese lugar no valía 104€ la noche. Nos ofreció otra habitación la cual era totalmente igual la única diferencia es que en esta habitación si tenía una ventana que daba a la calle y por lo menos no te daba la sensación de estar en una cárcel. Por cierto volvió a confundirse en esta última habitación era una tarjeta la que abría la puerta y no una llave. Bajamos para decirle que ya que no nos ofrecía otra solución pues que nos conformábamos con ella. La misma empleada de la limpieza le sugerio que nos podía dar una habitación mejor a lo que Jorge respondió que NO con gran rotundidad y pasotismo, el cual me indigno y por tanto solicite una hoja de reclamación, porque si no te apasiona tu trabajo no te da derecho de ofrecer un trato pésimo a las personas que acuden allí para desconectar porque yo había reservado para pasar una noche increíble con mi pareja, ya que, era su cumpleaños y lo que recibimos fue un mal trato. Las demás empleadas tanto las recepcionistas como las empleadas de limpieza fueron muy educadas y agradables y solo por ellas volveríamos pero mientras siga el empleado quita ilusiones no volveremos a posar ese hotel. Por eso le doy una mala reseña porque personas como Jorge no pueden trabajar cara al público si no eres una persona profesional para realizar bien tu trabajo. No hemos tomado fotos de la primera habitación donde había heces de palomas porque queríamos irnos de allí y encontrar otro hotel pero nos dijo Jorge que no nos devolvía el dinero, por lo que no nos quedó otra opción que pasar la noche allí.

This was a great little find! We stayed at this hotel on a Wowcher deal and couldn’t be more impressed. It’s everything you need for a couple of nights away. Room was spotless and bed were comfy! The supermarket across the road was perfect for snacks! There are plenty of nice restaurants in the local area to walk too if you don’t want to go into Santander. The sports bar across the road is perfect for an afternoon beer! Easy to get into Santander … we hired a car but also got Taxis in the evening.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. The parking is free which is unusual in northern Spain. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The best thing about this hotel, however, is the staff. Wally and Eveline are awesome. They were always smiling and so helpful and accommodating. We requested a small fridge for our room and it was delivered immediately and also free. They also froze one of our water bottles so we could use it in our cooler when we traveled on. And their English is excellent. If Management reads this review, you have 2 superior staff people!

Wir hatten das Hotel eher zufällig für einen kurzen 2tägigen stop-over in Santander gebucht. Und es war eine großartige Entscheidung - vom Check-in, über die Lage, die Ausstattung bis hin zum Personal - alles top. Das Hotel ist auf zwei alte, sehr modern renovierte Villen am Rande der Innenstadt verteilt. Restaurants, Geschäfte und Centro Botin sind max. 15min fußläufig entfernt. Auch der Cliffwalk Richtung Leuchtturm, Strände, ****** etc. sind sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein kleiner Pool hinter dem Haus rundet das perfekte Bild ab. Besonders hervorzuheben ist George, der uns sehr herzlich mit einem Glas Cava empfing, um uns dann mit zahlreichen, sehr guten Ausflugs- und Restaurant-Empfehlungen zu versorgen. Vielen Dank, George, für diesen großartigen Aufenthalt !!
