Hotel Caravel

We just loved our stay at the Hotel Caravel. From the time we arrived (11.pm) the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The Hotel had laid on a cold supper for us, coming in at a late time, we did manage to eat some of it - but, what a thoughtful gesture. Our room was on the 1st floor with a large balcony looking onto the pool. The room was lovely and spacious and absolutely spotless. However, the Shower didn't work properly, the bottom of the shower door is in need of some TLC and there was a musty smelly came from the sink. Big shout out to the Reception / Bar Staff, who were just so friendly and helpful. A Gold Star to Angelo and his team in the Restaurant especially the Chefs. We have never experienced such good service and excellent food in any other parts of Italy we have visited in the past. The Hotel is placed a good 20 mins walk from Sorrento, there is a bus shuttle on hand to take you into / pick up from Sorrento. We never used the bus as we are 'walkers', but beware, the pavements can be uneven and the traffic is very busy, you take your life in your hands even crossing the Zebra Crossings! I would certainly recommend the Hotel Caravel and if I ever return to Sorrento would not hesitate in staying there again. The only reason I have gave 4 stars is because of the Bathroom situation

Spent a week at Caravel with my wife. First visit to Italy and have to say we have had the best holiday we have had to date. The hotel was amazing from start to finish and is in the perfect location in our opinion as away from the noise in Sorrento centre but easy enough to walk to or the hotel provides a free shuttle bus down if you don’t fancy the walk! The reception staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. The bar staff were just as good and made some lovely drinks and the service was great. A special mention has to go to Angelo the restaurant manager and all of his staff who provided some of the best service we have ever experienced. We did half board, the food was fantastic and we never eat the same thing twice on an evening. My wife can’t have gluten and again her choices were far from limited, she enjoyed some of the best GF food she’s ever had and couldn’t believe how easy it was compared with back home in the UK. We already want to return in the future. Thankyou team Caravel for a fantastic time and we’ll see you again.

the staff are absolutely amazing here ! we had a very early pick up on the day we were leaving , and they had packed us a take away breakfast ! special mention to the bar man giuseppe and the courtesy bus drivers. ...........,,,,.,,,,,,.,,,,,,,

Fantastic hotel, well maintained and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful, lovely choice of food and evening meal is waiter service. Angelo the Restaurant Manager was welcoming and super efficient and Maria stood out for her excellent customer service skills and wine knowledge.

Dear Hotel Caraval, Thank you so much for the most enjoyable week we spent with you. The reception staff Giorgia, Luca & the others, sorry, I can't remember your names, were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Angelo & his team Antonnio, Rosà, Peppe, Tonio & those of you I also can't remember were both polite and efficient. The service was superb, I even got to find out the brand of coffee served at breakfast. The room was spacious & comfortable with a balcony view of Vesuvius. Kept spotlessly clean by the maids. The food we enjoyed for breakfast & evening meal was outstanding. The Hotel Caraval Red wine is superb. The pool, though not used on our stay & its surround is kept very clean & tidy. Useful free shuttle bus to Sorrento town, though it's only a 20-minute walk. I'm very sad to have left you. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Il personale della reception Giorgia, Luca e gli altri (scusate, non ricordo i vostri nomi) erano accoglienti, cordiali e disponibili. Angelo e il suo team Antonnio, Rosà, Peppe, Tonio e quelli di voi che non ricordo erano entrambi educati ed efficienti. La camera era spaziosa e confortevole con un balcone con vista sul Vesuvio. Tenuto perfettamente pulito dalle cameriere. Il cibo che abbiamo apprezzato per la colazione e la cena era eccezionale. Il vino rosso dell'Hotel Caraval è superbo. La piscina, sebbene non utilizzata e i suoi dintorni, è mantenuta molto pulita e ordinata. Utile bus navetta gratuito per la città di Sorrento, anche se è a soli 20 minuti a piedi. Sono molto triste di averti lasciato. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel.

Our stay in april at the Caravel was a wonderful experience. Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Sorrento in the small town of Sant d'Agnello and close to the Bay. So no hills to climb in a lovely quiet district with great views. Sant agnello also has its own rail station so travel to Pompeii and naples could not be easier.The hotel was very, very comfortable in pleasant grounds and with very pleasant staff, all willing to help. Also a regular hotel courtesy buss to Sorrento. Meals were excellent with brilliant service. Overall a great holiday for us.
