Hotel Zindel

This hotel is amazing!! Me and my fiancé stayed here for our anniversary and it was nothing short of perfect. Sparkling clean rooms, great customer service, they have everything you could need while on vacation!! The rooms are beautifully updated and designed, we felt like we had the full luxury experience! 10/10 will stay here again for our next trip to San Diego!

I felt comfortable here. I love the very bright lights at the lobby area. It's close to many nice restaurants. I like to be back here. I felt like it was my home. It's also very clean. I am so happy to find this place in San Diego.

I enjoyed the modern facility. Little cold in the room, so stayed under the blanket in the evening. No worries though. Bed was comfortable

It's was great walking distance to little Italy with a bunch of great restaurants to dine with. Room was a nice size, bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet for a good night's sleep.

Figuring out the codes, and constant code changes, was annoying. Having spent nearly $200 for the one-night stay, the shared bathroom was offputting. You need to have a system in place for people to store, and access, their bag(s) on the premises if they need to leave them on the property after checkout.

Not happy at all with this stay and will not recommend to friends. No cleaning services, no receptionist, parking… do not get me started! The wifi was not even working like, WHAT.

I am only giving them a 2 because I did not get a chance to stay there. However, I booked my trip with them with more than enough notice. Upon arriving to San Diego from Los Angeles I decided to call and make sure my room was ready because I arrived early. I was told by Zindel that they could not find my reservation and to contact *******. ******* contacted the hotel and found that my reservation had been sold to someone else, but if I wanted to upgrade I could pay the difference. ????? This was a New Years retreat for me so I did what my assistant told me to do in the first place, book with a reputable hotel. Book at the Radisson and was treated like a King! I even stayed an extra day. I really wanted to try something new and Zindel appeared to be a great fit. But service matters these days although it seems no one cares about service anymore. If we only had 80s service with today’s technology.

It was a bit weird that there were no staff present, everything was self done the check in, it wasn't bad just not used to it, I don't like the shared bathroom, but that was probably my fault I didn't know it was set up like a hostel I should've paid more attention at booking, but besides that it was a cute hotel and very clean

This place has no business calling itself a Hotel. It should be labeled a Hostel. As a hostel it’s great! But no Hotel would ever have shared bathrooms. Even in a motel 6, every room has a private bathroom. This needs to be made very clear in the listing and description, instead it’s in the fine print. That said, location is great and beds:sheets are comfortable. But shared spaces were not cleaned. Also confirm which room as some rooms face a black dark wall out the windows with no daylight.
