Village Cap Esterel Pierre & Vacances

The views are amazing… and that’s all that is good about the hotel… the rooms are small and stuffy, no sun beds - expect a week of sitting on the floor. The lifeguards are fun sponges. Expect 7-8 enforcing your sun bathing. The shops refuse to refund or exchange faulty items… we purchased a faulty snorkel and the rude woman pretended to be a manager and despite me pointing out French consumer law, refused and was derogatory towards English people . They sell things in the shop that aren’t even allowed to be used in the pool. you are isolated here so no options but to use the overpriced run down facilities and shops. The entire pool area smells of sewage. A week of sitting on the grass. Don’t waste your money.

Lovely resort, however the complete inability to offer gluten free options in any of the restaurants ruined the whole experience. Despite saying gluten free in one restaurant chicken was served breaded, and all potato dishes always contained gluten, even the chips. Not sure if just this resort or whether France doesn’t cater for people with food intolerances but really spoilt the holiday.

Shaby apartment with loose door handles and mini-moo bathroom, ridiculously small for four (and meant for 5!) with a ‘bed’ on which it’s impossible to sleep without banging your head. Music from L’ecole du cirque nearby guaranteed until 23:00PM with no apologies: you can book activities with l’Ecole du cirque (making you think there is a kind of partnership between the two, so things like noise level can be negotiated) but when it comes to aforementioned noise level being way too high and going on while you try to sleep: “L’Ecole du cirque is independent and has nothing to do with Pierre et vacances”. What a joke!!!! There is no airco in the rooms either and if you try to sleep on your balcony to get some fresh air, be aware that your neighbours are allowed to speak until any time of the night and of course smoke (cigar included) as they wish! We’re in the 21st century but Pierre et Vacances has not yet integrated the concept of “No Noise after 23:00pm” and a no smoking policy on the balconies while creating smoking areas FAR from where people live and sleep. People and kids shout on the streets when going back to their accommodation at night, some hairs were found on two pillows when we arrived, music and entertainment is a must of the village until 23:00 (too bad if you have a migraine that night!). I was very nostalgic of Pierre et Vacances, which my parents booked to go skiing when I was a child. This experience has cured me of my nostalgia for good. Fortunately, the staff is friendly. That makes me feel a bit better. Ps: Pierre et Vacances please pass on this comment to L’Ecole du Cirque so that next year they may think of starting earlier…. And finish earlier too!!

I'll start with the positives: - I received a pre-stay phone call from the center to check in and see if I had any questions before my stay. Very nice gesture. - The settings are absolutely stunning with the centre located on a hill with the red Esterel mountains as backdrop and a fabulous view of the sea in front of the complex. - The pools are really nice with the heated pool being quite warm and the wave pool with its waterslide being a big hit with my daughter. Kudos also to the life guards for really being alert and taking their role seriously - The Mulan show that the entertainment crew had put together with staff from the different departments participating was impressive and much enjoyed both by myself and my daughter. Unfortunately the list of negatives is longer: - The apartments are very run down and in urgent need for refurbishing. I stayed in a sea view apartment for 5 people. The price we payed (250 EUR per night) was close to what we would have payed for a luxury hotel. Yet this accommodation had nothing luxury to it what so ever: - Our shower-room/toilet smelled strongly of moisture and the neon lighting was flickering. In addition the towels and sheets we received and which, I belive, once upon a time where supposed to be white, now had a grayish nuance and smelled the opposite of clean which made taking a shower and going to bed quite an unpleasant experience - In general the apartment was not very clean (hair in the shower etc) but while the apartment was ok-ish the common areas where very dirty with trash, balls of hair etc lying around in the hallways and gardens around the complex which further exacerbated the run-down and shoddy feel - We were woken up at 7h30 AM on the Saturday morning by a delivery truck delivering food to the restaurants in the complex while leaving the engine running for 25 min straight.. Now I can understand that deliveries need to happen but scheduling those at 7h30 AM, allowing the delivery truck to have the engin running and locating those deliveries just in front of where the apartment bedroom windows are located does not make for happy guests.. - Our apartment was on the ground floor and when I arrived it was impossible to lock the terrace door. Thankfully the complex sent repair service relatively quickly and, after about 30 min of repairs, they were able to fix the lock- but, since the doors were so old and run down, I had struggles with it throughout my stay. - On top of charging a price that way exceeds the quality of the accommodation I was also negatively surprised by learning that you also have to pay extra for pretty much all services that you'd usually take for granted as included when paying such a high price for accommodation (parking was 9-11 EUR per day and you also had to pay for sun-loungers by the pool - oh and of course the kids club cost extra..) All in all my impression of this place was (sadly) one were the guests are primarily seen as cash cows and where the objective is

Very noisy (we slept 5 hours per night) , smelly, the temperature of the water keep changing although we didnt use the tap Extremely expansive for what it is. The view of the site is exceptionnal though

Nous avons passé un séjour d'une semaine en famille avec 2 enfants de 5 et 10 ans du 05/04 au 12/04/2024 en Studio 4 personnes + coin nuit vue mer (B1-333). C'était un super séjour, le cadre est juste exceptionnel avec de superbes paysages, une sensation d'espace et de liberté très appréciable, la période de début de saison étant sûrement pour beaucoup, nous avons également apprécié le calme et la tranquillité du lieu. Accès : arrivés en train en gare de Saint-Raphaël Valescure, nous avons pris le Bus 21 jusqu'à Pierre Vacances pour une durée d'environ 20min et un prix d'1,50€ le ticket (carnet de 10 tickets à 10€ possible). Contrairement à ce qui nous avait été indiqué, choisissez de descendre à l'arrêt "Cap Esterel" qui est à 5min à pied (en montée) et non pas "A*** village", cela vous évitera une randonnée avec valise en bord de route ou à travers des chemins escarpés en montée comme nous l'avons malheureusement fait malgré nous... Attention aux horaires qui sont de l'ordre d'un bus par heure voire plus selon les moments de la journée et les jours. L'équipe de Pierre et Vacances : très bon accueil le personnel est souriant et à l'écoute tout en formant les nouvelles recrues de la saison, elles-mêmes très appliquées à bien faire leur travail. Les animateurs sont top et dynamiques et disposent de super locaux et équipements pour les enfants qui en garderont de bons souvenirs. Hébergement : nous avons eu la chanCe d'être logé dans un studio refait et équipé à neuf ce qui est un plus, rien à dire tout était nickel mis à part la grande fermeté du matelas du canapé lit. Restauration et commerces : le site donne vraiment une impression de petit village avec sa rue commerçante où vous trouverez un assez grand Super U (les prix restent chers mais ça dépanne quand même), des restaurants dont la pizzéria La Calanquaise que nous vous recommandons fortement tant les pizzas y sont délicieuses et généreuses pour un prix abordable, des magasins de vêtements, tatouage, traiteur etc... sur la place principale du site vous avez un restaurant type "fast food" idéale pour les amateurs de snacks type Kebab, Burgers, Tacos et autres paninis (très généreux d'ailleurs) et les plus jeunes (ados ou enfants). Ils proposent aussi le petit déjeuné avec la vente de pain, viennoiseries et pâtisseries. Vous avez également un glacier attenant au restaurant, lounge qui vous propose d'excellentes glaces à l'italienne et des boules de glaces de fabrication française aux divers parfums. À faire sur place et aux alentours : - 3 piscines dont une géante façon plage, avec bassin de plongeon et toboggan (malheureusement fermée pendant notre séjour, début de saison oblige), un 2ème bassin à débordement chauffé (24 degrés à peine à ce moment-là) peu recommandable pour les plus petits ou les personnes ne sachant pas nager (bassin assez profond très vite) et enfin un 3ème bassin non chauffé mais cette fois-ci moins profond au niveau du Hameau. - Le petit train gratuit, vous emmèner

Nous avons passé 15 jours au villages vacances, à 4 (dont 2 ados ) 2 chiens ,le village vacances et superbe, il ne manque rien que ce soit restau, petits commerces, une superette, l'accueil toujours quelqu'un, des animateurs géniaux pour tout les âges ses activités,tout les soirs des soirées, un immense golf ( mm si terrains très sec mais normal ) des piscines top, nous allions toujours aux principales car notre appart était au centre ( d'ailleurs il est juste au dessus du café et des restau ainsi que de la place principale et ce n'est pas si bruyant, après faut savoir ce que l'on veut, si on veut calme on prends 1 appart au bout du village et on prend le petit train ou on marche à pieds pour venir au centre de vie ) une fois le soir venu, les fenêtres fermées ça va ( boules quies au pire ) bon nous on avait la clim alors on fermé tout le soir. les piscines sont propres, de nombreux surveillants et très sécurisé au moment de la mise en route des vagues. certe les transat faut pas trop rêver pour les avoir mais nous on se mettait ds les espaces vert juste au dessus, soit allonger sur l'herbe, soit on arrivait à avoir des petits transat, (de toute façon la guerre des transats c'est partout ) la mer à deux pas, la ville aussi. bref on a adoré !! Je précise que nous avons loué 1 appartement à 1 particulier sans passer par pierre et vacance et l'appartement était comme on nous l'a montré sur les photos avec une propriétaire très gentille .

Un village animé où les journées passent vite car il y a toujours quelques choses à faire, sport, animation, spectacle... J y suis allée avec 2 ado et 2 petits chiens et c est parfait. Il faut être un peu sportif car bcp de marche et de montée. L école de cirque est top. Nous étions dans le village cette année donc c était l idéal car le hameau est vraiment excentré de tout.... Un gros point positif avec l enthousiasme de la prof de fitness KESSY, elle nous donne de l énergie et c est top. Et ceux qui ne veulent pas qu elle crie à 9h30 sur la place qu ils ne louent pas à cet endroit. Logement un peu vieillot mais nous avions des ventilateurs dans chaque pièce et nous avions un grand jardin avec de l ombre. Vacance idéale et j y retournerais avec plaisir.
