Spark by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District

When we arrived we went to a table to check in. Was never greeted, lady just started typing on her computer. A few minutes later she then asked for my ID and Credit Card. Still at this point, she never said anything too me. Then hands me a piece of paper and says "Highlighted areas". I asked her what she wanted me to do and she again just said "Highlighted areas". I at politely asked her what she needed me to do in the highlight areas, she stated "I shouldn't have to tell you". I asked at this point why she was being so rude, she stated when we came in she said hello to us and we didn't respond. There were 3 of us that walked in, if she did say hello, none of us heard her. Regardless, if she did or not, this is not the way to treat a guest. This was probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Not only were the employees (All) very unfriendly, but the room was not very clean. Charged us $15 for parking, which was not listed on my booking. Room was not very clean. Stayed in the King Suite, which had a fold out couch, but no extra sheets and pillow were provided and there was no chance I was going to go and ask for some after we were already treated. Restaurant was never opened the entire stay. When we checked out, I walked down and handed the, same lady as the night before, my keys letting her know we were checking out. She just handed me a printed receipt and never spoke to me or made eye contact with me. While at the hotel, we read all the reviews, I wish I would have read them prior to booking. For the price we paid, our stay should have been much better. I've stayed at Days Inn, for a lot less than what I paid for this hotel and had better service. . This was one of the first times we've used Trip.com and not sure if we will use it again.

I will bever stay at another hotel in Saint Augustine! Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room!

The place was under renovation. our room had damage to some items which we took pictures of but was a minor issue. room did have an odd odor but minor. no breakfast due to renovation and lots of cosmetic issues. check-in was long also due to renovation. was a good location.

This place is a dump, does not look like the picture. Misleading, smells of paint. There’s paint drop all over the floor. Looks like a motel 6, rip off, not worth $130.

Super dirty room, filthy sheets, terrible staff, this hotel looks like a roadside hotel. they charged $416 per night, an abuse. I have never felt so robbed in my life.

Great location! Walking distance to historic downtown. A bit expensive for the condition of the hotel. It appeared to be under renovation. Only one staff member was visible through the entire hotel, at the front desk.

The details provided for the property in ******* listing is wrong and misleading. There is no restaurant, bar or paid breakfast available on the property. I had made the decision to book based on these and found these to be totally wrong. The staff however were very helpful and also provided additional rollaway bed. There was no house keeping service provided in the room. The room also does not have microwave or dressers. The hotel though is at a very convenient location.

We have stayed here before and will definitely be back. Very clean and comfortable. Staff members were very helpful and accommodating. Common areas need a bit of sprucing up, but it looks like that is about to begin after the holidays.

Book this hotel for a family vacation to St Augustine. Location was superb with great walkability to historic downtown. Unfortunately that's where the good things ended. The hotel is under a massive renovation so a lot of the amenities that were listed were not available such as breakfast,bar,etc. As we were checking in It was discovered that there was a $15 parking surcharge. There's only one person in the lobby to check you in This caused a massive line that took close to 40 minutes and just kept growing as I was waiting. The staff for overwhelmed and as such we're very grumpy and combative. The room I had booked as well as others in front of me in line we're not available so there was constant shifting around and accommodations having to be made. It felt like you were given whatever they had available instead of what you had actually booked. During my lengthy check-in process I also heard the staff note that they were completely overbooked for that day. The room that I got was very minimal and it was apparent that there was furniture missing from the photos that were online. I would avoid this place if at all possible for any longer stay than a night.
