Every aspect of our three day stay at Hotel Lion d’Or was stunning, the ambience, the elegant rooms and stylish a**osphere, the friendly ambience with professional attentive staff contributed to a wonderful experience. Didier Clement’s inspired and innovative culinary expertise using local products from the Sologne region created dinners that were particularly memorable and we are already planning our return stay. Excellent in every way!

Upon the arrival and from outside the hotel doesn’t generates a great impression, and even the reception area doesn’t pay justice to the efforts of the owners and staff. The rooms are great we had the 16 (fantastic with a balcony and a very nice setting of the furnitures) the 10 and 15. All you can need during your stay is present. As for the breakfast and dinner I can only say that we all where very pleased by the quality of the service (all the staff) and the food and the exceptional wine list.

Our stay was spoiled by two disappointing experiences in the hotel restaurant. Hugely over-priced but poor quality. We both suffered from nausea during the night following dinner. At breakfast we were twice delivered coffee barely luke-warm.

Beautifully presented hotel. Decor was superb and food delicious. Only fly in the oin**ent was no hot water for a shower in the morning otherwise would thoroughly recommend

We arrived at this hotel in the middle of the bustling town of Romorantin on a hot afternoon following a few hours drive. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist, who asked about our journey, arranged for the car to be parked, provided one of us with a mask as we’d left ours in the car and helped us up to our room with our luggage. We immediately got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. Our room was comfortable, not huge but big enough. Wifi was good. We ate in the restaurant of the hotel which, as it was a warm summer’s evening, was served in the courtyard, which was calm, shady, pretty and relaxing.Service was efficient and friendly and the food was very good. Amongst our dishes we chose pigeon, mmmm, apricot mIlles feuilles, very fresh and light, langoustines. All dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our one regret is that because it was summer we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the beautiful interior of this building - lovely restaurant, very comfortable lounge. We’ll have to come back in the winter !

Accueil chaleureux dans cet établissement à l'architecture prestigieuse. Une nuit reposante dans une chambre conforme à la réputation de l'hôtel. Un petit déjeuner excellent avec des produit locaux. A recommander.

Nous avions réservé ce séjour pour célébrer notre 40ème anniversaire de mariage et nous n'avons pas été déçus. De l'accueil du personnel à la qualité de la décoration et de l'ameublement, sans oublier le restaurant Michelin*, ce fut une occasion vraiment mémorable. Un questionnaire de Relais & Châteaux avant le séjour nous avait demandé si nous fêtions une occasion - dans le restaurant, nous avons remarqué pendant le repas que nous étions la seule table décorée avec des décorations de saupoudrage, puis un feu d'artifice de table a accompagné l'arrivée de nos desserts et le serveur a chanté pour nous souhaiter un joyeux anniversaire. Juste 2 points négatifs : - sur le site de l'hôtel il était indiqué qu'il y aurait de l'Eau d'Orange Verte pour le bain d'Hermès, les produits étaient d'une autre marque - la chambre était très chaude et nous n'avons pas pu trouver comment la baisser
