This is a gorgous old building right in the heart of the old city by Plaza San Francisco. Communication from the hotel was good and we had a good sized room. There is an ecletic feel with the courtyard full of plants and inviting looking tables under a beautiful roof two storeys high. It feels historic. Place was clean, service was decent, price reasonable. Note the square outside is deserted quite early into the evening, the old town is busy during the day but empty at night, restaurants close quite early. If you want a busy night life head north to the more modern business district. I'd give the hotel 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast that was really poor given the impression the rest of the hotel attempts to emulate. There was no menu - just asked what we wanted, and then the answers being whittled down to "how do you want your eggs" - that turn up unaccompanied other than some bread and jam. The Coffee was awful - however having travelled all over Ecuador this is a consistent experience in the country. It is a good base for exploring the old town, would recommend to other travellers - especially if they offer a cheaper no breakfast option!

Great Hotel!!! Me and my mother stayed here for two nights, and honestly this hotel was a last minute decision but it payed off!!! The hotel is over 200 years old and the original family still owns the house. The hotel is in the best location for sight seeing across the hold town of Quito. Overall great experience thank you for helping my family experience Quito!!

Only several steps from Quito's most expensive hotel, this place is a little run down put charming nonetheless. It could be an absolute gem with some additional attention to its entrance and some amenities. Staff were helpful and accommodating. It is clean but "basico" as Ecuadorians say.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Most charming hotel located at the San Fransisco s auteur and churche. Rooms are good and showers with high pressure water. Price quality is very good. Hoast Bernardo is great and took care of all our needs. The first night upon arrival he took us through town and showed us all nice places. Highly recommended.

Estuvimos 3 noches en este hotel, la situación es ideal para visitar el centro histórico de Quito. El hotel es muy bonito y cómodo. El trato por parte del personal fue excelente. Las camas son muy cómodas. El desayuno es continental. Hay restaurante, comimos varias veces. Nos proporcionaron transfer al aeropuerto previo pago. El chofer muy amable(Efren), con este chofer fuimos también de excursión al centro del mundo, Otavalo..... Recomiendo este hotel, nosotros sin duda volveríamos.
