Die Lage, der Garten mit direktem Seezugang ist top, da gibt es nix. Freundliches Personal. Für uns hat das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht gestimmt, vor allem beim Frühstück hätte ich mehr erwartet, ganz normales simples Buffet, das Rührei habe ich zwar jeden Tag gegessen aber lecker und ansprechend ist anders. Andere Eierspeisen gab es zwar, aber nur zum Aufpreis, was ich bei dem Gesamtpreis dann nicht passend fand. Wir haben dieses Hotel vor allem auch gebucht wegen dem Spa-/Wellnesbereich, in die Sauna passen 3 Personen dann ist voll, vielleicht hätten wir uns da auch im Vorfeld besser informieren sollen. Wir würden das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen, weil für uns das Gesamtpaket nicht passt.

This is a very grand hotel and has grandeur in spades from first sight. This is carried on in to the the reception and lounge areas which ooze Bel Epoque glamour. We spent four days here in June 23 and really enjoyed our stay. The outside pool area which has recently been upgraded and the spa facilities really are the best we have ever encountered. Breakfast in the morning was excellent although the variety of fresh fruit was limited and the bread is a bit dull but there was plenty of choice so you won't go hungry. All the staff we met were very efficient and friendly. Our room was 218 and was very pleasant but the bathroom must now be 30 years old and a big omission is a stand-up shower. Instead there is a jacuzzi bath which looks a bit downmarket and I think went out of fashion in the 80's! I would sacrifice a basin for a proper shower. I also think the outside bar (or inside) should have draught beer available - I walked up to the top of Mottarone (it's a good three hour walk BTW) and was able to have this from the tiniest cafe on the top so it should really be available in a 5 star hotel. Lastly if you choose to have dinner in the hotel - it is very good but I wouldn't opt for the fish soup. If you do stay here, we would definitely recommend the trip to the islands which are fascinating. Thank you Hotel des Iles Baroness.

Tolles Hotel in bester Lage. Besonders hervorheben muss ich freundliches Personal und unsere wunderschöne Suite mit atemberaubenden Seeblick. Die Suite beinhaltet alles was man braucht, einziger Minuspunkt, man hört die Nachbarn nebenan. Wofür ich mich besonders bedanken möchte ist die Hundenfreundlichkeit. Bei unserem Ankunft war alles perfekt für unsere Hunde vorbereitet s. Fotos. Was uns nicht so gefallen hat war der Frühstück. Zu kleiner Auswahl, das kenne ich in IT in 5 Sternen Hotels anders. Wenig Auswahl beim Gebäck, frischen Säften, Obst und und... Wir haben einmal am Abend im Restaurant gesessen und waren mit allen recht zufrieden. Sehr schade ist, dass der Pool recht klein ist und am Wochenende, wenn man nicht frühzeitig Liege reserviert, keine Chance mehr hat am Pool zu liegen. Der Liegebereich am See ist dafür ein Traum. Boottaxi funktioniert einwandfrei, man wird für 90 Euro zu und um die Inseln gefahren, überpünktlich steht der Kapitän parat. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze für Gäste. Fazit, für uns gelungene Tage und durchaus empfehlenswert.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

Prenotato con Wonderbox. Ci informano che, pur avendo già modificato la camera classic in superior, tali camere non sono disponibili e ci consigliano una “ de luxe” con sovrapprezzo di 70 euro. Accettiamo e troviamo una camera pulita e spaziosa ma con mobili ormai usurati ed il pavimento rivestito da moquette. L’ aria condizionata non funziona. Non ci fermiamo per la cena, ma solo a colazione. Le torte sono state comprate al supermercato e chi vuole lo yogurt deve accontentarsi di quello naturale non essendoci alcuna scelta. Caffè espresso,preparato al bar,veramente scadente. Mentre facciamo colazione stanno pulendo una parte del pavimento del salone ed una signora passa allegramente vicino ai tavoli con secchio e mocio. Da un hotel a 4 stelle ci si aspetta molto di più.

Hotel liegt direkt beim Bahnhof, was aber kein Lägmproblem darstellte als wir da waren. Die Zimmer waren sehr ruhig. Wir waren nur eine Nacht in Verbindung mit dem Markt da und hatten ein Viererzimmer. Während dieser Zeit war alles bestens! Sehr freundliche Begrüssung an der Reception, freundliche Bedienung beim Frühstückbuffet, sauberes Zimmer mit gemütlichen Betten. Das Badezimmer ist eher eng, aber für die kurze Zeit spielte das keine Rolle. Das Frühstückbuffet ebenfalls eher klein, aber für uns genug! Das Restaurant mit Michelinstern haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Können das Eurossola nur weiter empfehlen. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmmt so.

The first thing we noticed on entering our 3rd floor room, was the stunning view and balcony. However, this was dampened on opening the balcony doors due to the noise from the road in front of us. Clearly the main road in the area. This will not suit people looking for a lake view + serenity. Having said this, the hotel is good value and barely 10 minutes walk to the lakeside via some lovely public gardens. A supermarket is also 5 minutes walk for those wanting to stock up for picnic lunches. It was a short, flat walk from the train station and similar into the main Bavano town. The room did not have a mini fridge. The other downside was that they switched off air-conditioning in September and switched on heating. The temperature during our stay was still high (from a Britsh perspective) and we would have enjoyed the option of aircon. Especially at night where the desire was to keep the window closed to reduce noise. We asked for, and were speedily given, a fan - which helped. Breakfast was ample and the staff were friendly. The rooms were kept clean and you could see a pride in the hotel. No tea/coffee maling facilities in the room, but this seems common in Italy from our small experience. Overall we found the hotel to be be very good value for money and enjoyed our 3 night stay.

We stayed at Hotel Splendid for 2 nights while enjoying Lake Maggiore, we had wonderful weather. This Hotel is beautiful, quite grand but in a friendly way, the interiors are classic light and airy make the most of stunning views across the lake. The reception team are very welcoming and friendly and we were greeted like old friends. They very simply and efficiently organised a private water taxi for us to tour the lake and the islands with a lovely skipper who dropped us off and picked us up as we wished. It saved so much queuing on the Islands and we could follow our own timetable. It cost €100 for the both of us and was worth it. We had dinner one night on the terrace over looking the lake which was fabulous. Beautifully presented melon and their local cured ham which was sweet and delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and my husband’s perch fresh and tasty. The restaurant team were both efficient but fun too. A lovely evening. Our room was one of their corner suites which was roomy, light with two balconies on the 5th floor so again wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It had everything we needed including a welcome bottle of Prosecco. The only hiccup was a small bathroom incident when I got stuck in the toilet! The sliding doors that separated it from the main bathroom got jammed and there I was. Fortunately there was a phone on the wall so I tried enough numbers to finally attract the attention of reception who responded immediately and I was released. This clearly needs looking at and was not fixed during our stay but the Hotel from management down were apologetic, understanding and could not have done more apart from take the bathroom apart which I’m sure they will do now we have left. This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful place inside a charming and well run Hotel. Swimming in the lake was sublime, warm, calm with sun beds a few steps away from the water. If you book a suite the use of the Spa is included however at this time of year the lake is perfect plus there is an outdoor pool. Thank you Hotel Splendid.

Eigentlich war alles sehr gut. Frühstück perfekt. Das Essen im Restaurant Last Hall lässt könnte einen Tick besser sein, z. B. nicht lauwarm serviert werden. Zusätzlichen Kosten für den Tiefgaragenstellplatz von 19 € /Tag, bei wenigen Parkplätzen auf dem Hotelareal, ist schon sportlich zumal bei der Buchung, soweit ich mich erinnere, darauf nicht explizit hingewiesen wird und keine versteckten Kosten zu erwarten wären. Also genau hinschauen.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

We visit Intra on a regular basis to catch up with family and have stayed at hotel Ancona on each of our last 4 visits. We keep coming back because each visit is such a pleasant experience. You can not get a better location overlooking the lakefront and near the ferry terminal and the main square. The rooms are generally a good size with all needs catered for. We normally stay in the apartments which are larger but cheaper than the lakefront rooms and more suited to a longer (7-10 day) stay. Even though these rooms don’t have a view themselves you can sit out on the front patio, overlooking the lake, for breakfast and in the early evening (or anytime you want). Breakfast is definitely a unique offering with fresh orange juice squeezing machine, blocks of chocolate, real honeycomb, as well as a good selection of more standard offerings. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and you see the manager at breakfast most mornings checking up on how things are going. Highly recommended and certainly better value than the bigger hotels in Stresa.

I had 2 wonderful days on the Lake maggiore! I could not pick a better location. The hotel is located in an antic palace that made me feel like nobility in the 18th century. The room was very clean and spacious, as well as cozy. Like being in your own bedroom, but with no noises and a much better view 😀 The breakfast was amazing. From eggs and bacon to the home made cakes, cookies and everything in between. In only 2 days I was able to refresh and recharge, surrounded by the famous kindness of the Italian hosts. Thank you. You will see me again for sure 🙌🏻🌸
