Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit gutem Service und nettem Personal, dass bis auf zwei Ausnahmen an der Rezeption und einer Masseurin kein Wort Deutsch oder Englisch spricht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der beeindruckende Papagei am Eingang des SPA-Bereiches. Die Pools sind Salzwasser-Pools, was den einen freut und den anderen weniger. Das Frühstück muss man schon in sich reinzwängen denn lecker ist es nicht. Es scheint ausschließlich auf Portugiesen und Engländer ausgelegt zu sein. Die Brötchen sind weich und labbrig, als wären sie nur halb gebacken. Käse und Wurstwaren erinnern an eine schlechte Militärkantine in einem Dritteweltland. Das Mittagessen am Poolrestaurant und die Cocktails sind wirklich schlecht. Das lässt sich leider nicht anders zusammenfassen. Uns war nicht klar wie das Hotel auf 5 Sterne kommt. Mit viel Wohlwollen würde man nach Deutschem Standard auf 3 Sterne kommen. Es ist im großen und ganzen sauber aber eben sehr in die Jahre gekommen und verschlissen. Die Betten sind bequem. Sehr viel Mühe wird in die Außenanlagen gesteckt. Es ist insgesamt sehr ruhig. Wir haben weder Straßen- noch Pool- oder Partylärm gehört. Die Klimananlage funktioniert gut. Die Balkontür ließ bei uns jedoch leider nicht verriegeln. Dafür lässt sich zum Ausschlafen das Zimmer mit den Vorhängen sehr gut lichtdicht abdunkeln. Wäre das Essen genießbar könnte man über viele kleine, altersbedingte Unzulänglichkeiten hinwegsehen.

L'accueil est super plaisant et on se sent vraiment bien dans ce lieu. Seul bémol, le ménage peut être un peu amélioré, notamment pour les cheveux au sol. Les salles de bain ont besoin d'être mieux aérées pour éviter trop de moisissure, notamment au plafond. L'établissement est hyper bien situé dans Portimao, tout est à proximité.

We spent ages choosing this Portimao guest house, but our expectations of it were not met. It's an odd concept, offering a room in an unstaffed house, that doesn't offer breakfast but also doesn't offer any catering facilities?? We booked a ”Superior Triple room with balcony & city view”. What we actually got was a clean, well-decorated double-bed room, sp****ly furnished with one chair, no table to sit at. The balcony was a tiny Juliet balcony overlooking a narrow street & the house opposite- not big enough to stand on, let alone sit on, but then, the ”city view” was actually a large canvas/photo of old Portimao city,over the bed, not a view of Portimao. Sadly, the advertised roof terrace wasn't offered to us during our stay. That might have saved the day. The house itself is a beautifully restored old Portugese house in a narrow cobbled street, which unfortunately was used as a rat-run by traffic, till the early hours.The house was very clean & well decorated, but without any creature comforts. We'd spent the previous few nights in a comfy hotel in Faro , with a marina view & delicious breakfast, so ND Prestige was a stark contrast. It would be fine for one night, but not for several. The owner met us on arrival, gave us a long run-down of their Covid protocols , then left. We let ourselves out on check-out. (The housekeeper was lovely, we crossed paths briefly a few times, as she let herself in). In short, the accommodation websites (hotels.com in this instance) need to ensure their descriptions of properties meet the reality.

Das Zimmer ist groß, wir waren in einem Viertel, bestehend aus zwei Zimmern mit jeweils zwei Einzelbetten, in einem der Zimmer war das Badezimmer und das Fernseher, und in dem anderen war die Klimaanlage und das Schrank. Beide mit Fenster in Binnenterrassen. Kein Kühlschrank. Die Betten sind komfortable, aber die Küken sind wie ein Kissen. Im Badezimmer gibt es Gel und Handtücher, aber kein Haartrockner. Der Checkin wird im Hotel vorgenommen, das heißt Made inn. Wir hatten Frühstück enthalten, dass mit dem Coronavirus Thema nicht Buffet sein kann, wenn nicht, dass am Tag vor dem Hotel reception made inn, Ihnen eine Rolle mit den Frühstücksoptionen gibt es und am nächsten Tag müssen Sie es auf die Reception der anderen holen. Hotel zu der Zeit, wenn Sie es anstellen. Die Optionen sind ein Salz, ein anderes Süßes, Obst, Yoghurt, Saft, Kaffee und ein Süßes. Sie können alles nehmen und war gut. Sehr freundliches und freundliches Rezeptionspersonal, sprechen Spanisch gut. Ich würde dieses Hotel empfehlen.

Wir waren froh mit unserem einzimmerigen Apartment, da es sehr geräumig und komfortabel mit zwei Balkonen war. Es verdient sicherlich eine höhere Sternbewertung. Obwohl es von anderen hohen Gebäuden umgeben ist, war es bemerkenswert ruhig und wir hörten keinen Lärm aus anderen Wohnungen. Der Shuttlebus war sehr hilfreich, da der einzige Abwärtsgang ist eine 20-minütige Spaziergang zum Strand und in die andere Richtung zu den Supermärkten. Glücklicherweise ist das Funky Café gerade um die Ecke, die ausgezeichnet war. Die Kücheneinrichtungen in der Wohnung sind gut, aber mehr Kochgeräte wären sehr hilfreich.

Wir vermieten einen 2 Schlafzimmer Condo, der sehr komfortabel war. Sie gab uns eine Einheit auf dem Hauptboden mit einem Vordergarten, der ein paar Zitronenbäume umfasste. Sie reinigten unser Kondo täglich, obwohl wir gesagt wurden, dass sie es alle fünf Tage tun würden. Sie haben auch saubere Bettwäsche und Handtücher angeboten. Wir werden sicher zurückkommen, wenn wir wieder in Portugal sind.
